  1. Has the NK sub fleet been recalled back to port?
  2. It is. Hoshido normal is a fat joke in terms of difficulty. The last few chapters pick up a bit but nothing substantial. The final boss, you can cut their HP in half with a staff lol
  3. Does the patch require a headered or unheadered ROM? This might cause the issue. Is the intro during the text or doing a unit moving? If during text, mash start to skip the text or event and hopefully you can get through it. Another more dangerous alternative is to make a savestate right before the crash, load the savestate in the vanilla FE4 ROM, get past the bug, then make another savestate and then load it back in the patched ROM. Genealogy of Ayra does not have any new levels I don't think so this shouldn't be too bad to do, but it should be a last resort and only done with precaution--it may mess up your game or save file permanently. This option can cause some funny issues depending on what the crash is being caused by. F

  5. As of now, two major things have happened 1) NK Troops and artillery have mobilized along the border 2) Majority of NK sub fleet have left port
  6. 2.1a - Staves in their weapon rank icon are called 'Clubs', which is probably misleading considering the Hoshidan clubs are a thing.

  9. For people unable to use the full exploit, you can keep an eye on the 3DS emulator, Citra. It currently has a playable (this does not mean enjoyable) state for Fire Emblem Awakening, and improvements are continued to be made.   10. This are DLC that have not released yet. The large DLC cia has entries for all the DLC, but only the one with character icons are playable for now.
  11. I don't use cia. I use the ROM version. I also could not patch the game when the patch initially came out, which you can read in the thread earlier. So I have to depend on others uploading prepatched versions for the time being. I might try it again with their ROM, as originally I was using one from the baidu account. What does this icon.bin even do that justifies it being added, if it causes this issue? If all it does is change the Home menu text then I saw reverse it as this is a very unnecessary change for the big problem it causes.
  12. Which method are you using to run the game? edit from users at 3dsiso yeah others are having the issue too. What made this happen before, in the earlier patch? It was fixed pretty quickly.
  13. Just got 2.1alpha, DLC no longer works again. Same as last time the translation broke something. Rolling back to 2.0 until fixed. edit: rolled back and DLC is recognized again on 2.0 patch
  14. Uhh.... you should never, ever delete any of the code stuff in the text, especially if you don't understand their function.
  15. My brother has a terminal disease, and fell into a coma last month. I was a complete mess. Luckily he is making a recovery, but not everyone is so lucky. Many people lose their loved ones every day. Earlier this year, one of my niece's friends wandered into her family barn and found her older brother hanging from a beam. There are many ugly parts to life. Always reach out for help or comfort when you can. Emergency support numbers, family, support groups, local therapists, and anyone you think might help make things at least bearable. I am sorry that you're forced to experience such a horrible thing.
  16. Twilkitri and J2E's stuff is still around. And SpyroDi made a simple ASCII patch for the Twilkitri translation, so anyone can edit the text without a table file.
  17. For some people you must be on a JP emunand. I use the gateway cart and the ROM version of the game and didn't have any problem with DLC (dunno anything about emunand so it's whatever the stock setup of my US system became), until earlier when this translation borked it for a second, which was fixed relatively quickly thereafter. I have not tried 2.1 patch and can't say if it may have caused a new issue.
  18. lol you ask why I think and then tirade about characters I didn't even mention, and talk about things I didn't even think of hahahaha So this is basically gonna be Radiant Dawn 1.05. Got it. Hopefully this inspires someone else to do a more interesting project alongside your conservative one :)
  19. It looked like the same game I played in 2007. I think Fiona is promoted. Everything else I couldn't tell a noticeable difference in use or function of characters and items. Like, you could give Sothe a poison weapon or skill. Or a bag which applies poison to a weapon. Something small like this can greatly change how one engages the levels, but more importantly allows new and novel engagement. From your wording I felt this patch would open alternative and new ways of playing, not just a minor retweak of a vanilla game. That's how I feel. I hope the later and more drastic changes eventually find their way into the early game as well.
  20. After watching the preview video, I can't feel like anything significant is different. It looks like minor tweaks to me. Maybe this isn't the kind of project for me, but I don't see anything worth trying... And I personally didn't feel there was "increased strategic diversity to the cast of characters and weapons/items/skills that exist". Will there be new or alternate enemies and player classes and things like that, or is this strictly gonna be vanilla+ and pretty conservative?
  21. I think some of the concern for Fiona is about increasing her availability and usability, which is valid. It's not something met by saying "well she is good later so nope". That's a random response that doesn't address the feedback about potentially making her more available and in better maps that how she comes in vanilla. it's your patch so whatever. if she is just a tweaked vanilla fiona I won't bother using her :)
  22. Are you trying to boot the ROM version or the CIA? Get the latest version of Gateway if you are using the CIA version and one that does not have the cryptofix. Gateway should have no problems launching the ROM version.

  24. Brynhild's description is also misleading/missing information. It reads in the translation. "Leon only. While in possession, (Skl)% chance to halve enemy's Magic." What it actually does is when equipped, there is a skill % for the weapon to activate in battle, when Leon is attacked with a magic spell attack. This will cut the received magic damage in half, somewhat like big shield's skill. The description now is ambiguous as to what Magic (suggesting the stat more than anything) is actually relevant. It also fails to mention it is a passive defensive ability. According to Serenes Forest it additionally has Crit Evade "Leo only, Critical Avoid +10; Skill% chance of halving the enemy’s Magic"
