Ok, I've got an idea. It's not really on the 'wacky' side though.
[if the weapon weight is equal to the user's build (Const) they gain 2 attack speed]
This would put a premium on managing your weapons more, and potentially swing a difficult enemy/battle in your favor. Just a thought.

5) Alan and Lance sucks balls.
10) Oujaji is very good.
:awesome:
I know you gave both Alan and Lance a speed boost, but marcus is right, they really do suck. >_>

3 Days people! Woot!

I like the variation in Astra's character mug a la FE6 hector.
So you're done with Musain eh? Good thing we aren't expecting the other route by FEE3. There's just no chance in hell it's happening!
How's this pathetic reverse-jinx doing? Too blatant? Should I scale it back a little?

Thank god you upped those. I haven't been enjoying having to abuse to get Alan usable amount of speed. Lance was outclassing him by level 10.
And how soon do you think the completed version will be? I'm enjoying this thus far, but I don't want to have to play it over and over each time you update.
-
Where is this poll you speak of?
And this hack looks awesome, even though I haven't played several of the games you pulled characters from, I'm betting you didn't include any sort of storyline from the other games.
-
Along with the numerous hacks, I hope someone will have a link for a new pair of pants. I will be needing it :D
-
Played the version you released titled Tactics Universe like 2 years ago. I don't remember if it was completed or not, since my old comp crashed and I never got back to it. I'm looking forward to this regardless though. I like original storylines
-
Well, hopefully it was just a one-off thing. I'm looking forward to the FEE3 release I can use GBA controls! Woohoo!!
-
Ohh, thank you! just started testing this
Why isn't your hotpatch working? NUPS says it isn't compatible with a base FE6 file

in a magic wardrobe that leads to narnia
Well next time you come out of that, bring me some turkish delight please.
Also, have you made any sort of announcement pertaining to a release of any sort?

You select the key you want to change with whatever is accept (X by default), or Enter always works in that menu, and then the letter turns green and you press a key to change it. Is that happening?
Yes yes, I have no problem getting this far, but then it just refuses to respond after that. I've tried combinations of START, SELECT, and ENTER but it just stops recieving input or something. :/
Hope this helps.

Yes yes, and more people would actually know this if they paid a visit to the cafe more often.
Though it would help if Arch didn't go all Jordan on us and get scarce when the site was in transition

Sofia gets light magic but Niime gets Anima? WTF? So what does Ray get as his 3rd? Is it a toss-up? Lolwtfisgoinon?
-
Wow, this is really ambitious. I like ambitious, because it sounds big. Anyway, I'm looking forward to this, political struggles and loads of character development? O_O
Where have you been hiding good sir?

I think blazer chose his name in an attempt to counteract his constant raining on other people's parades
In the final version, I'll have 8 main tales (Eliwood, Lyn, Hector, Pent, Raven, Karel, Zealot, Legault), 3 maybe 4 gaiden tales, and one last tale to cap things off in an epic fashion (and provide a nice segway to FE6). 20 achievements to get, and 17 pieces of unlockable bonus content. That specific enough? :P:Currently Raven's Tale is in progress, and the next three tales will be ports of existing code (so, in other words, they should go fast if I'm properly motivated). Then all that's left is the final tale and tying up loose ends. The end is in sight.
Aaaahhh!! No, Y U NO USE SPOILER CAPS!!?
anyway, tl;dr: It's the beginning of the end. How depressing
Got bored in the car today, so I coded this feature that I didn't really need. I was considering doing reinforcements from those stairways, but decided that this would be a much cooler way to let myself know that I can still code neat stuff.
Wow, I know you're a great coder and all, but coding while driving? Damn dude, props for that, get bored more often!

so long as this gets the cafe going/success! then stoop no longer
I really want an update with completed Tale 5 & 6 >:C

haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah this routine is fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinally wooooooooooorking
now to go play this thing right now
Noooo!!! Give it ray so he can hurry up and release a demo!!
-
no F1 was in FEXP, it's an option on the title screen now and it should be working
the numpad and punctuation might not be enabled to use on your version yet but if so they will be in the next release, and you can still definitely set any letter keys
and no im right-handed :M
I have accessed the options menu and attempted to change the controller. Unfortunately, for me it would seem, it doesn't recognize any keystroke I make. I am using the February release too, so IDK
I don't know if this is any significance, but the direction buttons are listed beneath the A,B,R,L and Start/Select buttons.
-
Well I'm sure that plenty of you have already seen this, but I'll throw it out there just to add my two cents/opinion
-
I'm sure this horse has beaten to death already, but fixing the controller configuration so it actually allows you to change it would be beyond awesome. I find myself having a difficult time fully enjoying the demo to the fullest extent when i'm constantly having to think about which fingers are doing what, as opposed to concentrating on how awesome the game is.
you must be left-handed

I've been using the 23.2 rerecording version, and the battery file import option is under the cheat tab. No wonder I couldn't find it. Thanks for the help!

Here's an odd question: Do arena enemies take weapon stat boosts into account? While +5 to a single stat may not affect too much, it is really noticeable in hacks like ChinaFE; Cellica and Eirika equipped with the Falchion (which adds Str+20, Skl+10, Def+5, Res+5) can just breeze through any opponent in the arena.
It depends, are weapon bonuses the same as say, Ninian's boosts? Because everytime I've ever abused the arena in FE7 via Nini's Grace, the enemy stats don't seem to take this into account, which would explain why they also aren't affected by weapon bonuses. I think that arena enemies are based solely on the hard stats of your characters.
Ok, so I have a question, do the majority of arena abusers use an emulator or a cart? Because savestates and increasing the game speed would make coming across these broken enemies considerably easier.

Somebody needs to rename this topic "The FE4 Battle Royal"
A quick question
in Fire Emblem

That wasn't a quick response.
THIS is a quick response!
Quick is a status effect of sorts that gives you the next active turn. Quick status can be gained by having the spell 'Quick' successfully cast on you or by having the reaction ability 'Critical: Quick' triggered. The triggering of Critical Quick occurs when the unit with the ability equipped receives damage that leaves them with under 20% of their max HP.
While Critical Quick might not seem that great there are situations when it is the best reaction ability in the game. For a more reliant way to gain Quick, learn it for 900 JP from the Time Mage skill set. Quick costs 24 MP which might be a little costly but has decent speed (25) and a decent formula (targetsfaith*castersfaith*(MA+140)). Rig some zodiac compatibility between your group and Quick can be very reliable and fun to use.
Quick can be reflected (though not Arithmeticked) but the most interesting thing about it is that it can be Counter Magicked! Seriously that exclamation point isn't one of the fake ones that should be a period, I actually used to get giddy when considering this. Look at the spells that can be Counter Magicked:
- All Black Magicks except Firaja, Blizzaja, and Thundaja
- Holy, Unholy Darkness
- Mystic Arts except Belief and Disbelief
- Slow, Slowja, Immobilize, Quick, Stop, Gravity, Graviga, Meteor
- Bio, Biora, Bioga
- Meltdown, Tornado, Quake
- Attacks from the Blaze Gun, Glacier Gun, and Blast Gun
So just how does Quick fit into all this? With the proper setup you can orchestrate a near-endless chain of Quicks within your team (sometimes referred to as The Quickening), acting and acting while almost no in-game time passes and the enemy sits there staring at your chain of constant action.
Ramza: "Restore lost time in a spiral line! Quick!"
