  1. Is there any way to guarantee them? It seems like the ones you get at the beginning of the Branch of Fate is random. Or does anything like your MyCastle code affect it or something? Just curious.
  2. So far I have only played Birthright on Casual Phoenix mode just to get used to the story, characters, new features, etc. My only problem with it is that since the weapons are now unlimited, i'm not buying anything new. I'm just sticking with what they got when they're recruited. I probably have so much money right now and I haven't even used any of it except for staves and elixers and all. I know that they have buffs and debuffs depending on the weapon, but right now I dont see the use of buying anything new. During Sacred Stones and Awakening, I had to actively buy more and more weapons and plan who gets what due to weapon levels. Now I don't know what to do with myself. How to deal with this? Also, is the leveling up stats truly random? How does that work out?
  3. Update: Got a call from the Store Manager and got my Special Edition copy today! I did ask where they might've got it from, and I was told that they didn't tell him. But again, I do have my copy now and am currently playing along with listening to Lost In Thoughts All Alone over and over. :) Anyone got the piano sheet music for that?
  4. Alright. First off, I pre-ordered my special edition at GameStop in store. I fully paid it off right then and there so I could just pick it up on release day. Release day comes and my store was only sent ONE COPY. I was told they called about four or five people from my local store, and they had sent fourteen emails to Nintendo that day to ask if they were ever going to send more. Obviously since I had paid it off, they wanted to make it right for me. I was told they had reserved both the keychains and both physical copies of Birthright and Conquest along with a $20 gift card for the map pack I had also paid off. Since he said that they had only sent the emails the day before, I told him that I would wait and see what happens. Just in case, because that's me. Their store manager gets in touch with me as well, and he tells me that he's going to try his hardest to try and find me a copy, if not I still have the games set aside just for me. Last Monday, I got a call from the store manager. He said he has sent calls and emails to their district managers trying to track me down one, and also that their Corporate Offices had emailed them saying "We have acknowledged the low amount of stock we received for our customers who pre-ordered the special edition of fire emblem fates. We have gotten reply back from Nintendo and we hope to work out something by the end of the week" So here I am still being hopeful, but also still doubting that I'm going to get my copy since it's basically out everywhere and there's only ones from scalpers online. Here's the big news. Today I received a phone call from the store manager again. I was so scared of it being bad news. IT WASN'T. Today I was confirmed that I am getting my copy of Fire Emblem Fates Special Edition! They're shipping it to my store, and it should be here by no later than the first of the month! Whether it was because they tracked one down internally for me, or if they got more stock from Nintendo, I completely forgot to ask. I will ask tomorrow and will update here when I can. The fact of the matter is, if you haven't settled for the two games, make sure you call your GameStop and ask if they can track you down a copy! You might just get as lucky as me and receive your copy :)
  5. Ah man you really got my hopes up there. I instantly called up Toys R Us to see if they have it. They do not carry the special edition D:
  6. Normally just whenever they come out, as in when the code is created. They do go to the new Powersaves coins users first now though, then they're released to the public.
  7. Thanks guys. Much appreciated, was really hoping I wouldnt have to buy 2 sets of DLC for each one.
  8. Yep, just one copy and the 14 emails either went out to other customers who ordered the same thing or it was to Nintendo. I don't remember haha. Here's a problem I'm facing right now. If I have to settle for the physical games and not the Special Edition, I've already been told I'm getting both copies or whatever I want for the same price and all. (They're going to make it right no matter what) Now, I could go one route and get Birthright for myself, forgo the extra copy of Conquest and buy it digitally and Revelations later as well, so I can have all 3 on one cartridge. Then all DLC just gets bought for me. (plus i think I'd get all the benefits from the dlc chapters that give you free items right?) OR I could get both, and give my girlfriend Birthright, and I keep Conquest and just buy the Birthright for a discounted price and go from there with my other plan. She's shown interest in the game before, but I'm not sure if she's going to REALLY like it as much as I do to keep on playing it again and again. I feel like she might play it then put it aside and never play it again. I'm leaning toward the latter, but that's going to cost me an extra $20 that I don't have right now, and next paycheck is going toward a trip to visit my home state. I know it might sound harsh, its just shes not as much as a huge RPG/Strategy gamer as I am.
  9. Ok, so I was one of the ones that got !@#$ on. I had pre-ordered the special edition through GameStop in-store along with the Map Pack, and paid it all off right then and there (just so I could pick it up on release day) I don't remember what day that was unfortunately. Release day comes and they only got sent one. ONE. So unless they get anymore in, I'm not getting my copy :( They have sent fourteen emails to Nintendo already about customers needing more and if they will ship any. No response yet. I've already talked to the store manager at my local GS, if they can't get me a copy of the special edition, they've already got both physical copies and the keychains set aside for me, along with a $20 gift card to redeem for the map pack. Now! I need to know if the DLC works for both versions or not, or if I'm going to have to pay for DLC twice for each game?! Or should I go the route of only getting one of them and then just buying the other story as DLC and use the DLC for that one?
  10. Bump! I need this question answered as well!
  11. Myself, I just like keeping special classes in that class when ending their grinding. I like Panne ending as a Tanguel and Nowi ending as a Manakete. It might just be the rarity of the class that moves me to do that though. (Olivia as a end class Dancer with all the right skills like GF could potentially be awesome as they can kill an enemy then go and kill another, retreat, or even dance for another character. Possibly another character that has already used GF for their turn to give them a THIRD turn. Which in my opinion is pretty damn sweet)
  12. So I would want to pass down something that the child character can't really class into on their own right? Like I've heard of people passing down Galeforce to Lucina, yet with all the mothers except Sully, she can learn those with the inheritance herself. Is it just to make it easier to get earlier without grinding?
  13. So switch it up and make it Maribelle x Libra (to stay with a magic dad) Sumia x Henry Panne x Virion then Kellam just becomes a virgin because nobody notices him anyway right? Now just to figure out what skills to pass down. I really don't get the concept of it. Other than gender-locked classes, can't the child character just reclass into their parents to learn their skills? Thought they inherited their class paths.
  14. Ok Radiant Head, or anyone who wants to give my new pairings some criticism. Ricken x Lissa Cherche x Stahl Miriel x Gregor Cordelia x Lon'qu Sully x Gaius Maribelle x Henry Tharja x Donnel Chrom x Olivia Sumia x Fredrick Panne x Kellam Nowi x Vaike
