I agree wholeheartedly, both about Saizou/Kagerou and Odin/Kagerou. Went with the former during my first Birthright run and was really excited because I heard that they had a history with each other, but nothing about the support really struck a chord with me? I S-supported them still, but I felt like a little kid who really wanted mom and dad to get back together after the divorce. Did Odin/Kagerou on a whim during my Revelation run and I adored it. Kagerou really respects and believes in Odin in a way a lot of other characters don't, and it's one of the only supports where both her love for art is mentioned and the other character actually likes her art. Also it was hilarious.

- Owain & Inigo: They had the best Awakening kid/Awakening kid support chain imho. It was equally heartfelt and funny, and you can really tell that their friendship had grown since the last game. I wish Odin had more serious supports sometimes. - Scarlet & f!Corrin: Very natural and very sweet, especially the A support. Her support with m!Corrin is alright but this one is significantly better to me. Also, Scarlet was robbed. - Kaze & Selena: Not too much to say about this one, it's nice how Kaze is able to figure her out and the S-support is angsty and sweet even if it's immediately discredited by the child system. Has more to do with a personal bias than any objective quality I guess haha - Mitama & Dwyer: Sleeping buddies. They're both snarky as hell and it just kind of works. Plus, he sews her a quilt with her haikus stitched into it. - Odin & Kagero: Odin is one of only a few of the characters who seem to like Kagero's art (I think Orochi and Subaki do too), and Kagero is one of the only characters who seems to take Odin seriously (or at least, to admire his eccentricities). Also, Odin trying to summon Kagero's OC is hilarious. Some more that I like but don't feel like writing essays about: Niles & Leo, Takumi & Sakura, Jakob & Gunter, Rinkah & Saizo, Arthur & Azura, Soleil & Ophelia('s A support only lol) ...

Voted for Odin just because his support with Kana is the funniest thing in the game. If you're really determined to marry everyone off though, I'd go with Shura.

Name: Hecate Boon / Bane: Quick / Unlucky Route: Conquest + Revelation Class: Nohr Noble (Mercenary secondary) Skills: Draconic Hex, Dragon Fang, Aegis, Pavise, Renewal Spouse: Silas (I'm lame) Personality: Pretty close to canon!Corrin tbh, but with a bias for the Nohr siblings, even in the Revelation route. I also guess she's a bit more savvy than canon Corrin but that's just wish fulfillment on my part haha. Not really all that interesting as an OC but she's cute so I thought I ought to post here. Also I'm very proud of her name, since Hecate was the "Goddess of the Three-Way Crossroads" (which I didn't know at the time but I love being accidentally clever)

- Quality over quantity when it comes to supports. - No more incest / pseudo-incest, please. - Either make all three routes part of the same game or stop acting like one route is more canon than the other. Each route should be able to stand alone, and the existence of Revelation does not make up for bad writing. - Give Corrinsexuals a wider support pool. Scarlet only has two support options (or really just one) but there are characters who are objectively worse that can marry whoever? - Give the female siblings legendary weapons. f!Corrin doesn't count. - Not super important, but it'd be great if the paired endings were as personalized as they were in Awakening. Some of them outright contradict each other. - You know all of those important plot points that are only addressed in DLC? Maybe mention them in the main story, or in the "thanks for the $20, this is the part where we explain everything" route. I could go on but all of these issues have been brought up by people a lot more eloquent than I am so I'll stop haha

On my first run of Revelation I actually adored the stealth mission. It was different, it was simple, and I liked the twist at the end. I was confused about all of the hate it got. ... Until my second run, where it must have taken me a couple dozen tries to make it through without getting detected. I'm wondering if maybe the mechanics were different, since my first run was on normal and my second run was on lunatic, but I'm pretty sure they aren't. So many times where I misjudged the enemy's range and one of my units was just barely in their line of vision ...

I agree completely. Subaki's best supports are the ones that either ignore his perfectionist kink or the ones that actually attempt to look deeper into it. I guess from that perspective I like him quite a bit, but there are times where his gimmick is so grating that I end up groaning out loud every time he says something. Main example I can think of is Caeldori's paralogue but I'm sure there are more. It's more of an issue with Fates as a whole than Subaki specifically so I guess I can kind of let it slide, though. Also, his character design is gorgeous.

I like a lot of the second gen kids, even if the babyrealms are the worst thing about Fates lol. - I like Rhajat in spite of myself. I always liked Tharja's snarky goth schtick, and making her a rebellious teen only made it funnier. I recommend her supports with her mother, m!Kana, and Shigure. - Does Dwyer count as unpopular? If so, the kid is hilarious. "One thing you must learn, Kana, is that slappyface is neither slappy nor face." Can we just make Dwyer and Jakob switch roles, please? - Scarlet. Feels wrong to count her because I feel like Scarlet is one of the more popular Corrinsexuals, but oh well. Anyway, her support with f!Corrin is amazing, and her relationship with Ryoma is what got me to like him in the first place. The fact that she isn't part of the main cast is a crime. - Orochi was the least popular female unit (or at least one of the least popular? Can't remember where she placed exactly) in the JPN popularity poll and I'm still bitter. Haven't gone through all of her supports yet but the ones I've read have been solid. She's so good at messing with people haha. I wish her history with Mikoto and Reina was developed a bit more, though.

- Kiragi's "War is HECK!" killed me the first time I heard it. Sometimes I imagine Kiragi in a film noir-like setting, wearing a trenchcoat and smoking from a pipe, and after a few seconds saying in a gruff, serious voice, "War is heck." Probably funnier in my head but oh well. - "?! ----! --- ----- -- -------!" - Niles. The Niles/Nyx support is a gift. - Every single one of Scarlet's MyRoom quotes, especially the one about alternate realities. - That embarrassed little laugh Takumi does when he gets a really good level up. That counts as a quote right? [spoiler={All routes, boss dialogue}]" How's that for not landing a single blow?" So badass. Really makes finishing off Kotaro with Saizo worth it imho [spoiler={Birthright spoilers}]"I never hated you." I played Conquest before Birthright and that, combined with the fact that this line is actually voiced, made me tear up a bit at the end of that chapter. Also, this doesn't really count but: "Need a hand?" - Corrin, [spoiler={Rev. spoilers}]knocking off one of Anankos' hands during Revelation endgame. I found this much, much funnier than it actually was. - Some more honorary mentions, because I can't help myself: Soleil's "Smile! You're dead," and Shigure's "Let's hear your swan song!"
