I actually didn't do that TT with...either account, I think, actually. I'll keep an eye out for Flora Guide, since I'm 99% certain I missed getting that manual.

In line with this, my alt account just got Magical Lantern on Veronica. Having a tricked out Vero on one of my accounts is something I would like to do, and this seems like a good opportunity. Could I get some recommendations on what to look for, as well as knowledge on whether that's a good weapon to go for? It sure looks like it and the next best skill I was offered was a Seal 4 so I assumed that was the correct choice. Also forgot my alt account has three Duo Cordelia, one ATK Boon, one SPD Boon, one Neutral. Do I merge the spares or use them for fodder, and which one do I use as base? For context, alt account currently leads with a +10 OG Cordelia with Galeforce, Darting Blow 4, Sudden Panic(I was trying it out last time I pulled my alt up, I usually use Desperation), and ATK Smoke 3, with Heavy Blade as the Seal. Support Units are three Dancers(Ishtar, Eldigan, Lachesis), so if I were using the two spares for fodder one would probably go to the OG Cordelia.

Ok, but I generally care very little for the vast majority of Units that get run through HoF - to continue using this example, I literally never used Edelgard in battle once and cleared the whole thing with just the other three, and while they all did alright(Lysithea in particular picked up Ruptured Sky and a solid C if I'm remembering right), Dimitri is the only one who I decided I'd even consider picking up since I'd just barely happened to dig my actual Brave Dimitri back up and realized what a dang good Unit he'd turned out to be(which meant I wasted 200 Dew Refining him only to get his Forma with it pre-refined /sob). As someone who would much rather use characters he likes or happens to get absolutely astonishing kits on, the overarching 'power level' of the HoF units doesn't matter enough for me to go 'well but I'mma get offered a newer Unit a year down the line.' Like the other Forma I have is Dancer Nephenee with Plegian Bow, ATK/DEF Ideal, a double Chill I don't recall, and DEF/RES Menace, because somehow that happened and I was just like this is too great a meme to pass up. I'll see, I rarely get Celestial Stones since I'm not particularly amazing at saving Orbs(I am working on fixing this, yes), though I have accumulated enough to pick up one Forma Soul over the years. Honestly, unless they run one of a very small handful of characters(small as in Roy, Cordelia, Ishtar, Palla, and Sakura are the ones in the game right now and that's a little more than half the list, which also includes Cipher OCs) there are virtually no characters that would be auto-Formas for me, so I'm just a little conflicted.

Are you accommodating for Brave Redux or whatever they called it? You have to remember that the first two CYLs also did the thing where the characters with the highest votes who weren't in the game already got their own side Banner - that's how we got Owain, Loki, Aversa, and some others I can't remember off the top of my head. That definitely impacted my votes for CYLs 2 and 3, I used votes on Idunn and Nagi I wouldn't have otherwise. After CYL3 dropped this idea I basically accepted that my votes in the event no longer meant anything in the short-term since I wasn't voting for the big names(I think I've basically just been plugging for a Brave Palla for the past several years now) and stopped doing them as obsessively - I think I only got two or three votes in this last time, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I can't say that this definitely affects things, but the fact that the side Banner got dropped can't have had no effect at all on voters who weren't excited for, say, the obvious 3H sweep in CYL...4? Was that really 4? Geez, how has it been that long? It's me, that last one is me, I probably didn't vote even once that time because it was so obvious what would happen

I mean I don't have Arcane anything to sack in the first place. I'm mostly asking because I find it highly unlikely that they'll rerun the Hall of Forms with either of my two highest priority pickups, Brave Roy and Spring Palla, so I'm wondering if I should just hold on to my Forma Soul indefinitely in some wild hope that they one day get rerun(and that said rerun is when I can actually play), or if I should be seriously scouting other options.

Hey so this is probably a dumb question, but regarding Forma. Would it be safe to say that Distant Dart, Close Call 4, and Time Pulse 4 on Shannan is worth picking up? I unfortunately ended up missing Vital Astra but Imperial Astra with TP4 should still be solid right?

Sorry to hear that, Chloey. It's quite the sobering prompt if you don't have a specific idea of how to make it not so. (I'm assuming this is what you're talking about, but if not, sorry for whatever you're going through too)

I think it depends on the person and the prompt, honestly. There are some prompts which are very specific(read: My horrible prompt that has so far resulted in me being Elincia and still will result in me being Lissa because Chloey didn't go back and read what the prompt in question was), in which case sticking to the prompt is very important, and there are some prompts which are fairly open-ended(I think it was Jotari who did one about any sort of holiday festival with the caveat that you didn't use a popular one) where one can be a little more lenient. Hard to tell.

Hm, so I may want to consider putting my Shannan towards my Dimitri instead then, good to know. Probably won't sack him just yet, I need to see what other Red options from the same game I have first, but I'll make a note of it, especially in case I get another one. My Forma Dimitri did well enough that I picked him up for the merge and my lucky hits, he got ATK Smoke 4 and Ruptured Sky. I bombed pretty hard on the A Skills, though, I didn't see anything better than Warding Stance 4, which is, you know, a Stance skill that can kind of help shore up his RES, but I worry that's trying to spread his stats thinner than will actually help. Glad to know the C Skill was the right call, I passed on a couple other skills that looked shinier. Ok, that's good to know, I'll probably keep the Doubler for now. Interesting that he wants to go all in on ATK/SPD, in the event that I get the fodder for it I'll probably do that, Roy is my main man and I finally got Harmonic Roy and Legendary Roy in their last appearances so I'm in the process of updating all my Roys to hopefully make a killer content clearing team.

Hey, it's me again, asking about Legendary Roy this time. Given that I don't have Arcane whatsit, I assume I want to Refine Dragonbind and go with a Stance 3 Skill, preferably Bracing of course. If I don't have Bracing Stance 3, is it worth sticking with Bracing Stance 2 or should I get a different Stance 3? Steady Posture 3 is my only current spare since I'm not sacking my Ascended Idunn, is that one worth or should I be doing something else entirely? Also asking about Brave Dimitri, that guy's something else. Is there anything he needs to replace the Unity or Hone 4 with?

I know exactly what to do. I just need to go finish the entry from last round first.

Continuing to go off of Star Wars, there was some guy - George Lucas, I want to say? - who shipped the prophesied hero kid from Phantom Menace with the barely-tween-queen girl from the same movie so hard that he produced an entire fanfic put to film about them having romance and getting married. The Star Wars franchise, for whatever reason, decided they liked the idea so much that they just made it a real thing in the next movie, Revenge of the Sith. While this is generally regarded as an abysmal executive decision by most Star Wars fans, said fans are willing to forgive Mr. Lucas for his ridiculously bad romance writing abilities on account of his sideplot of attempting to advance the actual Star Wars story inadvertently furthering the character of Obi-Wan Kenobi in a good direction. Star Wars compounded on this with Revenge of the Sith, to the point that Obi-Wan became quite possibly the best-written character in the entire franchise, rivaled only by the great Jar-Jar Binks. (Disclaimer 1 this is a sarcastic comment for anyone who didn't catch that) (Disclaimer 2 I actually liked a great deal of Attack of the Clones, this is not meant as a serious attack on the movie)

Pretty sure Chrom has to reach full C-rank, I think I got the Maiden once while trying for an Olivia run. Let me check and see if I have an active Maiden-Chrom file, if so I'll go finish it and let you know.

You know, this might be the first Smash game where I main someone considered high tier. Yo wait hold on two actually. I have a great love-hate relationship with tier lists. While I like to see people's opinions on which characters are good, often those opinions end up being formatted uselessly because nobody bothers to actually name their tiers anything useful or informative. What metrics are all these top players using to define their tiers? Are players keeping in mind the subjectivity of tier lists, or are they just taking this and reshaping their entire view of the game around what a bunch of other guys said?
