If you dont know what those are, basically they're trainees on steroids.

Ross and Amelia crit more, and Ewan can use all magic. It's really worth it.

I also believe that Frederick is a Jagen, and Gunter is not, because Frederick joins in the first chapter, while Gunter joins midgame, so your units are about his strength.
