Definitely Oni. Keeps Yato access for Corrin and gives me Jakob with solid 1-2. Support grinding for faster seal use and because I need 1900 points for the Battle Seal. Chapter 9 is done. Corrin is a level 11 Oni, +speed -luck; Jakob is a Chieftain; Odin is a Samurai with Malefic Aura and a +2 bronze sword. Captured Haitaka who is actually going to see use this run. Going to support grind Elise+Azura, Effie+Mozu. Not sure if I'm going to seal Effie before or after Chapter 10.

I did start the run but there were things I already regret. Thankfully I wasn't far so I restarted. Odin wants Malefic Aura for more Levin Sword damage. I can still forge him a Killing Edge later for stupid critical fun. Also, Effie will be more effective as an Archer than Mozu. I'm considering making her a Kinshi for lance usage even though I know Sniper is more damaging. I have time for that. Mozu is better as a vessel, though I'm still debating on who she will marry. I want my first seal to go to Corrin to build axe rank and the second to Odin after level 10; first Partner goes to Jakob; first Friend to Effie or Silas. Charlotte gets no use to me, though I may let her birth Midori.

I forgot Camilla can't inherit anything on this run. She would be perfect for a Dread Scroll. I feel about Sophie the way you do Jakob. I know what she can do and how to use her, but I always find her performance lacking and I don't like the character enough to use her. Her Paralogue is invaluable though, especially the free seal. Sniper Effie at this point would mean I wasted a seal on Mozu. Too many bow-locked units especially since Niles will never use a lance. Also if I pass a skill down to Mozu's kid, it will probably be Quick Draw since they can't inherit Archer. I was thinking of using Midori and Shigure. Neither sees much use for me and they don't require extra seals. I've never done MN Silas so this seems like the perfect time. As for Odin, he still retains a solid magic stat and the Levin Sword exists. Still PP only, but useable 1-2 performance.

Dancers are universal, and her F/P option is Pegasus. So yes. @starburst I don't enjoy low-manning, except in specific chapters (Kitsune, Eternal Stairway). Also, I like Jakob. :) I've rarely used SM Odin, so that could be fun; I'm considering marrying him to Camilla to keep her axe rank. I'm probably not going to use too many of the Nohrian kids to save money on seals and forges; Shigure makes a good support and Midori could be useful in AS. I also forgot about Shura who can go Mechanist to keep his bow rank. Also his personal is generally overlooked and it's quite decent. I probably will support grind through castle battles but mainly because I want to increase my points. I'm not sure if I want to allow DF.

I've often thought about doing a Birthright classes run of Conquest. Give Corrin a Hoshidan class and see how well the run goes. The only problem is there would be a lot of lance users. Corrin/Spouse/Kana, Azura/Elise?/Spouse/Kids, Odin/Ophelia, Selena, Laslow/Soleil, Kaze/Spouse/Midori/Silas, Nyx!Nina, Beruka!Percy, plus useful captures. Also I think Leo can go Samurai through friendship, plus whoever Midori can marry/friend. Gives you many units to choose from, though I wonder how 10 and 12 would go. Also means a lot of forges. I may try it soon. Edit: I forgot about Mozu, which opens up another Spouse/Kid/Effie/Nyx and MN Xander. I'm thinking a decent team would be SM Odin, Sniper Mozu, Kinshi Niles, Blacksmith Corrin, Oni Chieftan Jakob, Mn Silas and Xander, Haitaka, Azura, Falcon Elise, Izana, maybe one or two others to round things out.

How is Chrom not forced? Anyway, I'll give you Sorcerer Libra.

What about some of the gimmick builds you can pull off with the kids? Azura and Jakob gives you a Shigure with Wyvern access. It's more useful in Birthright; the last time I did it Shigure was endgame material and looked like Percy with a speed stat. Dwyer doesn't mind Peg access either, especially if Jakidin passes on Elbow Room. Niles and Nyx gives Diviner to Nina. Definitely a gimmick since she'll need a ton of investment to have a useful magic stat, but it's fun outside of Lunatic. I'm told Arthur and Beruka gives Percy Pegasus, but I've never tried it. Darting Blow is never useless.

Pretty much. For some reason I'm drawn to Apothecary Azama in Birthright and using the Chapter 13 Heart Seal on Sakura just doesn't seem like a good idea. And she's level 9, so I'd need tonics, forges and a backpack to catch her up. My current team is the Christmas Master Ninjas, Caeldori, Hinoka, Reina, Scarlet, Oboro, Ryoma, Silas, Felicia, Azura, Azama, Takumi and Corrin. I'd like to keep Subaki but he would need 2 stat boosters and/or constant tonics to be worth it. Hinoka and Caeldori are going to become flying healbots and Felicia is heading for Strategist once I get her Tomebreaker. Takumi or Azama are going to be dropped, I just haven't decided which one. They're pretty even in stats aside from skill.

That's unpossible! But yeah, I've been running 4 birds for a while and now I have Scarlet as well. I've been sick so I haven't touched it much, but it's a toss up between Silas and Subaki right now. Silas can fish out more damage while Subaki is a flying machine who never misses. Reina and Scarlet outclass every flyer though.

If I'm trying to optimize XP for the mid-game I'll unlock Kana, Dwyer, Percy and Sophie before Chapter 10. It might be possible to unlock Ophelia's chapter by then as well, though I'd rather do hers later. Of those kids, Percy and Ophelia are the only ones guaranteed a spot on the team. Sophie is hit or miss for me. Dwyer is only useful for the staves he brings with him, though he makes a decent replacement for early promoted Silas/Effie/Nyx if you're willing to use 2 seals on him immediately. It's frowned upon everywhere, but flying Elbow Room is always fun and Percy is the best flyer in the game not named Xander. It does require burning a Heart Seal on Arthur though. You could go flying Shelter as well, but I'd rather add more damage.

AI've never been good at optimizing children. I don't care to grind for skills to pass down and even when I think I have a good pairing the children often feel lackluster. Of the ones listed, Percy and Ophelia are OP; Dwyer and Shigure make for useful healers/rallies/ferries; Kana sucks and I have little experience with the rest.

He simply put in solid work since join. Right now he's level 15 with more health than Silas and with equal speed. He's only 2 points behind in strength and defense as well. It helps that I kept Hana glued to him until they married, but he's not completely unusable.

I'm looking forward to a bit more of a challenge. Even on Lunatic, Camilla in Chapter 13 was a joke for Master Ninja Kaze. I will say several units that barely see use are putting up a strong showing. Subaki was my MVP for the early game, only now hitting the bench in favor of Scarlet. Caeldori is the only child I've recruited and she is extremely solid; more speed, strength and resistance than her father. I'm tempted to use a Heart Seal on Hinoka since I have 3 other strong fliers right now, or bench her like I did Sakura.

Yeah, probably too late but Birthright Lunatic is easier than Conquest Hard. I'm about to do Cheve and so far there hasn't been much of a challenge. And next chapter brings the 2 best pre-promotes in the game which makes the rest a cakewalk. I'm actually disappointed. I was hoping for more of a challenge.

I usually use both. Arthur is a mini Silas in terms of stats and a reclassed to cav is always fun. And I like tanks. Effie usually lasts until endgame for me.

Started up a run of Birthright with a male Corrin. Sakura is worthless except as an aura bot. Subaki is actually performing quite well in the early game; he has the same strength as Hinoka at equal levels but with more natural defense. The Christmas ninjas are awesome and Apothecary Azama is always fun. I forgot how much Felicia sucks. Still better than Sakura.

I gave up on the Reddit list in the early stages when I realized it was based on a Corrin/Jakob speedrun. Nevermind that many units were tiered as stat backpacks more than their actual contributions.

So I keep hearing about MN Silas with Sol but I've never tried it. When do you seal him to Merc/Hero? Immediately after promotion? As soon as he hits level 10? Also a 2-level dip into Archer is always useful, but what else is a good marriage class? Also I've rarely had a useful Sophie outside of Silas/Effie.

You do realize some of us aren't against using the online features for forges, right? Or we don't have the time to blitz through half the game in one session.

I have a level 17 Beruka and a Level 3 MK Camilla right now, both on their averages. If promoted right now Beruka would be 1 behind on Str, 5 behind on Spd and 3 ahead on Def as a WL. MK Beruka would be 3 behind on Str and 1 ahead on Def and still nowhere near the speed gap. The fact that Vantage procs with Nos means Odin really wants 2 Heart Seals or resort to skill buying. My level 17 Odin is 1 behind his averages on Mag and 2 behind on Spd, and he ate the Ch. 11 Dust. My level 3 Camilla if sealed to Sorcerer would be only 1 behind my screwed Odin in Mag but ahead in everything else. Of course Odin promoted right now would be well ahead in Mag but still behind on Speed and defenses. So yes, Ch. 13 Odin can be replicated by another but with the investment of an extra Heart Seal and 2 grand. And Xander absolutely wants Wyvern, especially given his join time.

I love Odin, as a character and as a unit. I rank him a B or C depending on my mood that day. However, I rank Camilla as S. She's the only unit I place there other than Azura, Jakob and Niles. And Elise! One reason for this is her reclass option being the Dark Mage line. If Odin isn't growing properly, a Heart Seal on Camilla at base gives her stats on average with a 16/1 Sorcerer Odin and allows her to perform the same face tanking function. Also she'll still have Lunge for positioning. Odin really wants the Samurai skills, but I can't remember if Vantage can proc with Nosferatu. Better to buy than build though; when I get back to my Iron Man run I may spend some money to find out before I bench him. Also, I'm not sure how Camilla compares to Percy or Elise but at base she is comparable to 16/1 Beruka. Beruka will have better Defense and similar Strength but Camilla is faster. This is comparing MK Camilla at base to WL Beruka.
