  1. The red haired man leaned back in his seat and put his hands behind his head, a brief rest after the fight. Leon was pretty thankful the banter with Louise had ended, it was a good thing Markus was here. His honest outlook was a much needed balancer for the situation. I sure hope you're doing good Mark, Kazue too...I'll check on you soon. While Louise took the battle way better than Leon expected, he knew not everyone would turn out as well. It was a first step toward being a soldier, an unavoidable one even. Kinda sucks that I can just shrug this off nowadays, but that just comes with the territory. His thoughts turned toward his days as a rookie under the wing of a dangerous man, a life so far away from his current one. The battlefield did bring back some memories though, so it wasn't as far as he thought it would be. Volunteering to be an escort to the captain was a no brainer to Leon, especially when Louise did the same. He put aside any anxiety he had at the risk of seeing a potential officer he had wronged and hoped he wouldn't be recognized. Ramensburg was quite a sight, an industrial city with a lot of business to boot. There was a lot to do and see, if he wasn't on duty he would have been tempted to see if they had a casino. He gave the city a brief scan and a whistle. "Hell of a sight, I could get lost for hours in here..." The ex-merc couldn't help his wandering eyes as they made their way to the receptionist, he admired the work and money AHI put into the building. When the group stopped he gave a brief glance at Louise and the android, they both offered to carry the captain if she needed it. "Heh, if neither one can do the job for whatever reason you know I'm open, captain." He presented her a winning smile before he turned away. He noticed Kazue didn't say a single word during the trip over, he assumed she was still on edge from earlier. "Kazue." He leaned toward her direction and addressed her with a lowered voice. "I don't wanna make assumptions on how you're feeling after the fight, or how you're doing right now. I just want to let you know that you're not alone; I got your back no matter what happens." Even though Kazue was the muscle Leon was no slouch himself, he was more than ready to keep everyone safe.
  2. Taka's reaction earned a laugh from the mystery man. "Aaah, is that right? Well despite our hardship there is beauty to be had in the sands. Your friend could tell you the same. Even beyond the scars left by Requiem I still love my country." His eyes were firmly on Luce. "I am but a simple storyteller. Though I am from a tribe, that has no reflection on how strong or weak I am." With a shake of his head he felt his time was nearly up. "Truth be told I feel as though I'm rambling to a point, so I'll simply cut to the highlight of my tale." He cleared his voice. "Requiem's remnants may be difficult to deal with, but in recent times a Marked known as the Lionic Liberator has made his intent known to free his people from their generations of suffering. Through his victories in protecting villages he's inspired many to be heroes of their own stories, and that is the lesson I impart to you two. Be the hero you believe yourselves to be...even in the smallest of ways." After a moment of silence he let out an awkward chuckle. "Or so I hope anyway, sometimes my tales have meaning, other times I ramble just to burn time. What did you think?" Lorelei kept a close eye on Alouette, she really was uncomfortable with the situation. It worried the princess to see her friend in distress. "Hm..." She looked like she had more to say, but as soon as Ichika approached she put aside her thoughts for another day. "It's alright, thank you miss Ichika." She looked back at the Akatsukian and nodded. "I have taken a glance at the garden, I would love to see more of it." She turned to Alouette. "Lead and I'll follow." She had hoped Alouette would find peace and comfort with the group she was with, she knew the red head had been through a lot. I wish I could help you more Alouette, but I have my own battles to fight very soon. So for the moment I'll hold onto my faith.
  3. Renais had a very wide smile on her face, she was happy that her reflexes were good enough. This really was a far cry from her attempted knight training. "I really do owe it to the work the Tigers put me through." She turned her attention to Lucretia as she went over potential exercises Renais could try. "That makes sense to me, I need to build some muscle to defend myself. I could start with squats and jogging then go from there. This lesson really opened my eyes, I'm grateful to you both." Sari did bring up a point though. Lucy wasn't that much taller than Renais, but she handled her staff and self defense techniques like a professional. That line of thought lead to Renais' mind wandering to how her physique was...but she quickly shelfed that idea. Kick the habit kick the habit. I need to distract myself...ah! She looked Lucy in the eye and cleared her voice. "It was very insightful, yes. I'll do my best to keep up my training. That being said I was curious, Lucy. You're really experienced with work as a cleric, is there any specific reason you chose to heal for a living?" It was a question Renais had on her mind, she had her reasons of course but she was curious about her fellow pinkette.
  4. Louise's laughter and taunting words got Leon to make quite a face. "What the hell? Where do you get off-" Before he could go off on the woman she pulled Markus in and ended their private conversation, the ex-merc just let out a small groan to himself as he pulled his head back and put his hand over his face. Louise was more than he expected, she wasn't just a rival she was a full on tyrant. She didn't even consider him a threat at all either. Geez, I knew we wouldn't get along...but she makes Viv sound like a saint. Leon was in a decent mood and it was out the window now, he made a mental note to keep interactions with Louise brief...unless he won the captain courting competition of course. You want action I'll show you action, I'll make Sia mine. He texted Roku back a simple. [Thanks.] He wasn't in a chatty mood.
  5. "She probably isn't, but it's gonna take a while to convince myself of that." He looked over at Kagi. "Well, we're gonna be chased by knights a lot I'm sure, and I ate crap earlier today because of em. So for now I'll direct that hate to them. Sounds like a plan to me." He listened to Kagi go over his life at home and why they left. "Well if it weren't for the magic part that could've been a sweet deal, a chance to have security in your homeland. A nice dream..." He turned his head up to the sky. "We've been doing pretty well so far together, I'm sure we'll be fine. I don't care what people from your home say you're pretty strong in my book Kagi."
  6. Louise was very quick to lay out her desired relationship with Leon, or rather the desire to not have one at all. As the woman continued Leon quickly realized she was a very different beast compared to the other rookies, she even brought up her experience in challenging death; which was something he didn't expect. Her cold voice and harsh words were enough to convince him that he didn't need to worry about her on the battlefield, at least not right now. When it came to the captain however that was a very different story. "...you're really somethin' else aren't ya? Alright, I see your game." He brought his tone down to a serious mood. "You're right, Ms. Park. I've cheated death more times than I can count. The battlefield is a chaotic place, I know that all too well. No matter what anyone's reasoning is the only ones who should kill are those who are prepared to be killed, that's just how it is. I'm glad you picked up on that right away." After a brief moment, his tone shifted back his usual free spirited state. "But damn, so much for being friends. You even called me Leon earlier too...boo hoo." She could hear a chuckle over the comms. "You're right again though, she's a complete package. If you're looking for competition look no further, Ms. Park. I'll take you on, I even got my own game plan ready. Just no hard feelings when you see us cuddling in public, ok~?"
  7. "...oh, is that how that works? Military life sure is different from how mercs run." Of course they got paid yearly, that made sense. He started to regret skimming on some reading. "Ahaha, well I can't make any promises but I'll at least keep them in mind when I do work." He turned his head to the side. Looks like I'm gonna have to introduce myself to the mechanical staff, let em know I might be another problem. As he planned out his approach and apology he removed his own helmet to let out his fiery locks. "Lemme ask you something, miss Park...Louise, if you don't mind me calling you that." He turned back to the comms. "Most of the squad are inexperienced, so I was expecting some hard whiplash when the action picked up and lives were on the line. But you seem pretty composed, almost scarily so for someone who probably never killed before today. At least I'm assuming that's the case...what's going through your mind right now?" Louise stood out like a nail to Leon, for more reasons than one of course. Hearing her cold words on punishing lives was something Leon didn't expect, but it did catch his interest.
  8. Leon sat back in his seat and waited for a response from Roku, though truthfully even if he didn't get approval he'd probably sneak in and fire up the grill anyway. Just as he was about to get into his thoughts and plans he was hailed by a certain pretty sniper. "Heh, how kind of you to be worried about me miss Park! Don't you worry, I won't go running off on my own here." She probably aimed it as a jab, but Leon was used to rolling with the punches. "I'll be straight with you I should be the last person you worry about, I've been around this kinda crap for way too long. My machine gettin' beat up ain't no biggie, if anything I'm helping the mechanics earn a fatter paycheck." He chuckled. "That being said...look at you! Fresh and untouched, seemed like you did a hell of a job. Even against human opponents."
  9. Through her self motivation and Lucy's cheerleading Renais was able to keep her footwork, though it also helped that Sari wasn't exactly serious. This would have been a very different training session in that case. "I can do this...I can." She looked Sari in the eye. "I'm ready, Sari. I can take it, I know I can!" She tightened her stance and gripped her staff, ready for whatever Sari had in store for her. Miko-Kise lost her tail for me, maybe she lost more than I realize too...I have to reach a point where I can start making it up to her, and start repaying people like Tio too. She gave a nod at the man. With both of them in agreement Renais did her best to defend against his attentional swings, whatever she couldn't dodge she blocked with her staff. Sari was a little more serious now, so it was harder for her to keep up. Still, she was able to handle almost all six swings. The final attack just grazed her arm as she barely caught the blade with her staff. Thankfully the blunt side didn't break her skin. "Aah...hm..." She took a few short breaths, a little frazzled but still mostly composed. "...I uh...guess I didn't pass. Choked at the finish line aha."
  10. "I'm sure you have a few fans yourself, Lucy." She eyed the fellow pinkette for a brief moment before she gave the training session the rest of her attention. "Move those legs and hips...center of gravity..." She repeated softly to herself while she kept her gaze on Sari's sword arm. While she had learned a lot at the academy she didn't learn how real fights would go down. That only came with her time as an Iron Tiger. She watched her comrades fight, she had no choice but to if she wanted to keep them safe. During that time she watched how they reacted to attacks and did her best to take that to heart, this was the perfect chance to replicate some of it. When Sari threw out his swings the pink healer hopped away from one swing and blocked the other with lower end of her staff. Her arms trembled a little, but she did her best to settle herself down. While Renais had seen combat she very rarely was the target of most attacks, the team did an excellent job protecting her. While she appreciate it she couldn't help but get a little frustrated. She wanted to do more, she had to do more. "Hm!" Renais did her best to keep up with the repeated swings, her footwork served her well enough. Her sharp eyes caught his curve ball just in time, she brought her staff up to block the attack and planted both feet firmly into the ground. "Mm..." It really did seem like she put all her focus into improving. "...how am I so far, Lucretia? Sari?"
  11. "Oh I have my ways~" A bubbly giggle escaped her lips. "But no, my family is actually somewhat well liked in Isolde's nobility, we're not nobles ourselves but we've contributed in ways that even impressed the highest houses like Celti and Baroque. In a country like Isolde they honor good deeds." The sheep turned her eyes to the gold on the table, then back up to Miles. It was easy to notice she was a little on the petite side. "Mm, if you're sure. I really do appreciate this Miles." She took the coins and smiled at him. "Thank you for your patronage, if you're ever in the mood for another fortune I'll be right here all day...until lunch anyway! I hope you enjoy the rest of the festival, and may the stars realign so we meet again..." Alister took the apple out of his mouth and laughed. "Aaah, I'm glad Gilford and my sister aren't here to see me like this. He would never let me live it down..." He waved his soaked locks with a shake of the head, but thankfully Mikhail wasn't hit by any watery pellets. "Thank you, Mikhail. I think a good soak was necessary." The girl at the stand gave out two flower necklaces for the boys, Alister took his and rejoined his companion. "Goodness, you're like a kid in a candy store. Though I can't say I blame you, this is one of the biggest events of the year after all." Gottfried had it's own festival planned later on in the year, he hoped it would go just as well. "In that case why don't we go to a bakery, I want to show you some treats from the region." Taka came off as rather naive, it was cute. Luce on the other hand was very much on the ball, he wasn't surprised they were well versed on Saratara's situation. The way they recounted the facts back was only more proof that they were in fact a native. "Well said, my dear friend from the sands." He nodded and turned to Taka. "That is more or less the situation we find ourselves in, the delicate balance between a government that wishes to rule and the people who will not follow suit. Quite a situation, hm?" He turned back to Luce. "The tribes in particular, while chaotic in their own right, seem to value individual contributions a lot more than the merchant union in the city. For instance!" He lifted his dark hand again. "Did you know the desert houses many dangers? Monstrous beings, leftovers from Requiem's rampage make their home in certain parts of the desert. Since the tribes cannot buy their defenses they must rely upon their own people to deal with the issue and fight back the remnants." Felicity eyed the foreign swordswoman as she explained her part. "I can tell you like her enough to care, that's a good sign." As Ichika left the cat leaned in to call out to her. "Chocolate is a good way to go, but you didn't hear that from me! Anyway you have a good rest of the festival yourself, ma'am. Thank you!" She waved her hand and tail briefly before she got back to work. Lorelei kept an eye on Alouette as she went over her concerns in detail, it matched up to some of what she remembered back at the library. "Kind of. Honestly, I seem to get more death threats than actual gifts for my affection. It's to the point where my guard Gepard has to check every gift before it's handed to me." She wished that was a joke, but given the situation behind the scenes in Phantasma it was no surprise Lorelei's life was constantly in danger. "Still, I know what it's like to feel as if you're an object. People don't see us for who we are, they only see what they can get for themselves in the end." She stepped closer to the red head. "That being said I don't believe everyone is like that, there are people who want to see who we are past the surface, I believe Ichika wants to do just that. It is your choice in the end, but as your friend I want you to be happy no matter what." The princess couldn't help but giggle after she said all that. "You know I don't have many friends back home, so I take a lot of value in the few I do."
  12. "It's fine. You weren't the one who put me in the ground y'know...not this time anyway." He chuckled a bit as he felt his side. "No sweat off my brow, it'll heal. As long as my hands are just fine I can't complain." He did his best to laugh off a near death experience, it wasn't his first time. "...hmm yeah." He turned his head toward the princess and kept his voice low so only Kagi could hear. "Honestly I'm kinda pissed. Her dad was the reason why...well he's been an ass to everyone really, I'm no exception. This job was my chance to get back at the dead bastard, I was ready. Now we're escorting her across the country, not like a proper knight squad but still." The silver haired man narrowed his eyes. "I still got all this hatred for the king and nowhere to put it, she seems like she's nothin' like her old man either that's the shitty part. The pretty face doesn't help either..."
  13. Leon seemed to have overdone it, the Lancer he smashed looked a lot worse than one expected. Leon on the other hand laughed it up. "Ahahaha woo! That felt great!" He huffed. "Getting fired up! Who's...oh, it's done." He scanned around briefly and was hailed by the beautiful captain. Ease it back, man. Almost let your hand show a bit too much... He took a deep breath when he realized he lost control for a minute, old habits die hard. "Want me to stick with Markus? I can do that, captain. No worries." He replied, he ever heard Louise would join them too. "I second that, actually. Having her eyes would make things more comfy for me." When things settled down he heard a ding, it seemed like he got a message. The ex-merc took a look to find it was a certain chef he met. [Oh, Roku right? Heh, you're the man, man. Looking forward to the meal, though I gotta stick around for a bit to make sure we're golden. Just keep doin' what you do best alright?] Before he could get back to work something hit him, and he messaged Roku back. [Actually hold up, mind if I use the kitchen again after I eat? Got something to make for someone.]
  14. Lucy really did have a way with words, in between the somewhat serious lesson was a phrase that made Renais blush a teensy bit. "Ah? Shafts and-L-Lucy!" She cleared her voice. I already have issues keeping my mind out of the gutter, I don't need someone to push me in... She turned her head and pouted. "Hm...but yes, the crystal is the most important part." She settled down and looked over her own staff briefly. "I'll remember it well." When Sari approached and offered to take it easy Renais turned her attention to the man. "I appreciate the offer, Sari. Going all out might not be the best idea, I saw your work on the Underground after all." She took a stance. "But at the very least I want to see some of that strength, if I'm going to fight beside everyone I need to settle my fears one step at a time." She lifted her staff and grasped it firmly with both hands. "I'll be sure to keep an eye out for body swings, I've got sharp eye sight after all." She only hoped her body can keep up with her eyes.
  15. The discussion on where to go went on long, Silvano was a little relieved when things settled as it meant he could finally rest his aching body. He enjoyed the night air for a brief moment before he heard Kagi call over to him. "Sure, why not." He stepped up and took a seat on another side of the tree Kagi was near, though he couldn't help but let out a small grunt. "I ain't gonna sleep well tonight that's for sure..." He sighed. "Man, it was supposed to be an easy job and here we are." He looked at Kagi. "What do you make of the princess, Kagi?"
  16. When Lucy lead Renais into the area she spotted Ullr and Iris training right away, it seemed like the two were getting into it. Iris wasn't someone she spoke to...really at all, after their first meeting she sensed a lot of animosity in her and left her alone. It seemed like things have changed a lot with her given how she almost called Lucretia a 'titty monster'. Well she's not wrong. She eyed the other pinkette a little, only for the briefest moment. She wanted to start staring less given how close she was to her girlfriends now. "Same from me, if anything goes wrong please let us know." She looked back to the duo as she turned to Lucy with a head shake. "Oh no, I'm the same way. I just can't help but want to lend a hand to people who need it." The first order of business was to take her staff out, which she did as soon as she heard it. "Right." Though as soon as she heard her call for an attack from Sari she shot them both a look of concern, she didn't protest beyond that as she trusted them both enough, despite her desire to say something anyway. Her attention was pulled away for a moment as Iris said she wanted space to practice, which would have been understandable if she didn't briefly catch her scowl. "?" She would assume it was her old habit to avoid humans kicking in, but she would have been much more cold to Lucretia if that were the case. It seemed like she directed toward Jeremiah. What was that about? Maybe I should ask- Before she could continue that line of thought she was brought back to reality when she heard steel and wood clash. She turned her head back to Lucy as she instructed how important it was to make full use of your staff. "...ah yes that's right." She looked down at her own staff. "Almost like a shield in a way, I never really thought about it but it does make sense to use a staff that way. Even if it might end up damaged, better it than me." She lifted her head back up to her. "You really are good at what you do, Lucy."
  17. The girl at the stand clapped when Mikhail resurfaced with a bright red apple in his teeth. "Well done sir! Oh no that's not your prize. You also get a-ah?" Then she went off to grab his prince. "Hm?" The black haired nobleman turned as his companion egged him on to bob for an apple himself, he stumbled along as he was pulled by the hand. "Oh, I could yes." He chuckled. How sloppy of me, he caught me in mid thought. Perhaps I'm brooding over nothing. He stepped over to the stall and dunked his head into the water, and in a few seconds he came back up with an apple in his teeth as well. The girl clapped once again and he turned to Mikhail with a thumbs up. ---------------- "Ehee hee~ The cards only outline a potential future mind you, don't take it to heart too much ok?" She regathered the cards into a deck and straightened it out. "Oh this was just a hobby, but something happened recently that put my family in some debt so I pulled some strings to open a stand during the festival." She smiled at him. "The government is paying me though, no need to open your pockets. I just really appreciate you dropping by, Miles." The sheep gave him a wink. ---------------- Lindt's attention was completely on Luce now, they were an entertaining sight alright. "Dancing...well that explains the sway in your step." He nodded. "Very well, Luce. Allow me to regale you and your companion with the tale of the Lion of the Sands." He brought his left hand out dramatically. "As you know, the desert of Saratara is unforgiving, brutal and vast. To survive, a union of traders and nobility came together to form a government. They claim that Saratara is under their watchful eye from their lovely oasis capital: The City of Mirage. A blanket claim mind you, but that claim isn't upheld by everyone in the sands, it is far too wide for their blanket to truly cover." He took a spin and a step forward to the cats as he brought his right hand forward, Luce and Taka would find that it is a dark hand; he looked mostly human but that hand was proof that he wasn't. "On the other side of the spectrum are the clans of the desert, they are all widespread and unaligned with the city. Chaos to their order one might say. Suffice it to say neither side of the coin appreciates the other due to many disagreements. All while the Marked populace happen to be surrounded by those who would look down upon them. Garmr and Lohen." He turned his eye toward Luce. "A story I'm sure you know well, but our foreign friend needs to know where we stand before I continue." ---------------- "Oh, I'm sorry. I got a little excited, but I don't see anyone else that recognizes you." Not everyone who knew Alouette from eight years ago stayed in the city, some families and business owners had moved on since then. Luckily for her no one seemed to look her direction. "It really is good to see you though, Felix will be pleased when I tell him. He's minding the shop right now. Oh and a co-worker is it? My you certainly have come far in this world haven't you?" Felicity kept an eye on Ichika as she approached, she seemed determined to buy Alouette something nice for her birthday. Alouette on the other hand had been very resistant. "Hm? This pin?" She took it off the stand to show it off. "It's well made, the jewel is sapphire. Sent from Saratara actually." She looked it over with a hum. "It is a little small, so that cuts the price...with the festival discount on top...it'll run about 350 gold. But it's also Ali's birthday so I can bump it down to an even 300!" Though her upbeat tune changed when Alouette walked off toward the park, Felicity watched her old friend leave with drooped ears and a disappointed sigh. She wanted to catch up. "...mm, seems like some old scars still haven't healed. Poor thing." She turned to Ichika. "Don't let it get to you too badly, ma'am. Alouette was very popular when she lived here so she got gifts all the time, though a good chunk of those gifts weren't exactly from the heart." Lorelei had been quiet as Alouette and Ichika dealt with the pin situation, and when the red head walked off on her own she looked toward Ichika. "I'll go on ahead too." She rushed to catch up to Alouette. "Is everything alright?" She asked her companion with a look of concern. "I know you have reservations about getting gifts, but it is your birthday. You deserve to simply receive something without issue." Lorelei remembered moments when she and Alouette's co workers at the library tried to reward her for her efforts, she had shown some reluctance back then too. While the princess didn't know the whole story she knew there had to be an important reason behind it.
  18. Leon moves 23, 28 and Heat Halberds Arde 4.
  19. Lindt kept his eye on the ninja as she agreed, he smiled wide and nodded. "Excellent! Then allow me to...hm?" The eyepatched man lifted his head to find a certain dancer approach, they addressed Taka and had quite an upbeat tone about them, not too far from the way Lindt carried himself. "...well, I should have known cats travel in packs. A pleasure, Luce. As Taka said I am Lindt, a storyteller from the desert sands of Saratara, simply here to kill time, and of course that's fine. I'm certain Luce has some interesting tales to spin." While he kept a wide smile on to match the dancer's, he couldn't help but wonder about them. This one...I feel as though there is more to them than meets the eye. Then again I shouldn't talk. Perhaps I should step lightly. ----------- Alister watched Mikhail as he dunked in for an apple, he looked around the festival with a keen eye. He was always the type to be on guard, but the attack the other day really struck a nerve in the young man. Our nations have had an awkward history to be certain, still...I can't let anything happen to Isolde. He narrowed his eyes a little and watched Mikhail as he came closer and closer to nabbing his prize. His friend's innocence and eagerness to try new things put him at ease, enough to smile at least. "I'm glad you're enjoying yourself at least..." ----------- "Oh, my name? It's Hina." She pulled back her hood to show curved horns on her head, golden eyes and curly blond locks with a small amount of freckles on her adorable face. "Sorry, the hood is for aesthetic more than anything. Gotta keep the air of mystery after all! But it gets a lil stuffy in this robe...anywho!" She turned the final card... "The Sun upright! This means there may be success in your future." She looked Miles in the eye. "Whatever you have going may lead to good news, hopefully anyway. These card readings are just for fun, anything could happen in your future!" That's kinda why I tried to keep things as broad as possible, but he doesn't need to know that aha... ----------- Lorelei watched over Ichika for a short moment, while she wasn't entirely sure she sensed something may have been off. She didn't have a chance to really to smooth things over as Alouette spoke up about the situation. "I don't know all the details, I believe you'll be briefed by a supporter very soon. Despite my best efforts to help the alliance I'm not quite an official member yet, so I was kept somewhat at arms length when the meeting reached that point." She sighed. "The Lohen princess doesn't trust me at all, she stared at me as if I were some rabid beast. I had half a mind to...well never mind." She kept some dark thoughts to herself. "All the more reason to continue to prove myself until I have the trust I seek." She smiled at Ali. "It's no trouble, Alouette. I don't mind going back to way I came, even if this dress is giving me quite a work out." She adjusted her outfit some what. While she wasn't on the red head's level, the princess wasn't quite a slouch in the beauty department. "Let us go then." The jewelry stand Alouette eyed had some quality trinkets on sale, a few items on display were expensive while the rest was reasonably priced; perhaps discounted for the festivities. Lorelei eyed the stand as they passed and turned to speak to Alouette, but a voice called out to cut her off. "Ali? Ali is that you?" Alouette believed the girl at the stand wasn't from Isolde, but she failed to notice there were two workers at the stand, the second one stepped out from behind it to take a good look at the trio. It was a blue haired cat girl with green eyes and a modest white dress. "It is you, isn't it? It's me, Felicity!" She stepped up and presented her with a welcoming smile. The cat was the owner of the Cat's Eye jewelry store, it had been passed down through her family for generations. She knew Alouette's family fairly well. "I haven't seen you in years, but it's hard to forget one of my favorite customers! You really do resemble Lyria." She looked Lorelei and Ichika. "Are these your friends?" Lorelei smiled back and curtsied. "Good day, I'm Lory, a friend indeed." She decided to keep her royal status to herself, a little fearful the cat might try to give her a deal she couldn't refuse.
  20. Silvano just gave Cyrus a wink in response to not cut into the conversation too deeply, he listened to the princess as she addressed the lady knight with some sound words. Really does sound like she's different from her old asshole dad, still... "Whatever Rivane decides works for me I guess, goin' solo sucks and I ain't doin' that anymore. Especially on this wound." He walked back to his log and sighed. "Still, going to Bravia to end a war sounds pretty out of reach for a small pack of bandits. Rivane excused of course, if anyone here can do it he might. I'll just be along for the ride and see what kind of games I can cook up." Silvano did his best to keep out of his jaded thoughts, he brought his dice back out and shook his hand while he kept his gaze on Rina and Jilyn. He wondered if either of them knew about the other sword he needed to find, probably best to ask when things settle down.
  21. "I suppose you're right, things were certainly a lot more simple back in Glacies." A small part of Renais wanted to go back and rewrite some of her mistakes, but at the same time she knew those mistakes are part of what made her journey. When Lucy bumped her hips into Renais', she let out a small 'eep' and turned to her fellow pinkette with a giggle. "Aah I'm not so sure about famous, but yes let's get to training before we burn too many hours." She turned back to Jeremiah as he cut the formalities and she took a moment to think on that. "Tio told me the same thing, I suppose people in high stations are more loose than I thought..." She looked him back in the eye. "Then considering I'm dating Gean...would uncle suffice?" She giggled. "Kidding of course..." Or was she... "Time to move then, Lucy." She turned to join Lucretia.
  22. Leon moves to 24, 28 and swings on Lancer A-5 with Heat Halberd!
  23. When Jilyn made her case before Silvano he couldn't help but roll his eyes away from her, though he knew it was very serious information due to how Rivane and Cyrus had acted. "Pardon me then..." He turned his head toward Willow when she brought up her take on Cyrus' identity, and when Rivane put his foot down on the situation the silver haired gambler loosened his own stance. "...yeah you're right, both of you. It doesn't matter where any of us came from, all that matters is that we're trying to help each other survive." He looked at the crow, he eyed the letter briefly but he decided not to make any move toward it. With his injury Rivane would floor him faster than he could blink, hell he could do it even if he were healthy. "Sorry, really. I didn't mean anything by that." Rivane had made his stance clear to the captive princess, Silvano silently agreed. They couldn't just escort her to Bravia without some trust, but in the gambler's case he couldn't find it in himself to give her any trust at all. The late king Jrevin had run Halspria into the ground, and with it his father's life. Silvano had abandoned the nation he was born in because of that, he had no love for a land that took his family and life away. He only wished he could have gotten back at the king somehow, and despite the fact Jilyn was very much not like her father and didn't carry his sins, he couldn't help but hold some dislike for the woman. Of course this crap had to be complicated, dammit...
  24. "Here's hoping we can get something to patch up your outfit." He gave his comrade a grin, he couldn't wait to get back to a town. That smile slumped a little as he brought up their prize. "Ah, right the princess...wait, you'll be needed?" He didn't see any injuries on her. Before he could ask why Cyrus was already gone, he turned his head to the group assembled around Rivane and Jilyn. He stepped up to listen, and heard that Cyrus was actually an undercover agent. He somewhat shared Raz's feelings on the matter, but at the same time he couldn't be that mad at the man who helped tend to him. "You were holdin' out on us? You're lucky you're damn good at what you do." He pocketed his hands and gave a cold glance at Jilyn as she approached. "Sounds like info that might kill us, so why should you care if it does your highness?" His upbeat attitude was replaced by a stern one. "Sorry to butt in, Cy. Please continue!"
  25. When the buff half-dryad stepped up and pat him (roughly) on the back he couldn't help but let out a brief grunt. "Oof..." Though he managed to recover, while he had a lean physique himself he was still sturdy enough to take it. He did indeed take hits to the face in the past, but by some miracle he still kept his good looks. "Heh, yeah? Bet you're only sayin' that cuz I bring home the bacon." He turned to Willow and tossed the dice up and down lightly, he noticed her expression and kept it in mind as he softened his next move. "But seriously, thanks for helping me out back there. I'm usually not that unlucky ya know. As soon as we find a town I'll make it up to everyone and get us some cash." All he needed was a good set up and an hour or two. He took another glance at Rivane and the princess, he was surprised to find her on the ground begging for his assistance. "...hm." After he pocketed his dice he stood up and walked over to where Cyrus might be, an out to get away from the princess of the nation he despised. "Cyrus, you busy? I patched myself up, but I wanted to make sure I did the job right. Can I get a second opinion?"
