Do note that if you are playing Eliwood normal and have trained Canas, if you can reach Ursula while she has her heavy tome equipped, Canas may be able to One-round her with Luna. His (Genereally) Sky-high res also help him to be good for this job; however, this doesn't end the map. It most certainly makes it easier, though!

And if you can, try to have Nino talk to Jaffar; there are some special events that occur if you do!

That's great! Good to hear that where you live is starting to open up.

Here, I'm rather nervous because there's not a single case in the whole huge region I live in, (And less than ten in the whole province,) but people have been getting really lax about precautions and travel within the province is opening up today. Still, I'm happy because it looks like our backpacking trip's not gonna be cancelled, and I even get to go on one this week!

Looks like I missed out on Canas during this run. Never met the requirements for his side quest! I'm playing the game blind, and so I'm sure there are lots of things I'm missing out on. Even support conversations are a little tricky, since I keep trying to pair unlikely units. I should stick to obvious ones!!

Glad to hear you'll be able to go backpacking! That sounds like a lot of fun. I'm a little nervous about things here too. Places are opening back up, and cases in our immediate area are down, but that's no excuse to be lax. I'm half expecting things to shut down again before long... we'll see!!

Speaking of which, I'd personally play FE8 before FE6 because

    1. FE6 is quite hard and has fewer QoL features than FE7 and 8
    2. I've never met anyone who liked FE7 and FE6-Only one or the other.

I'm not saying that FE6 is a bad game or anything, it's just less polished than FE7. However, there is a numbers patch that makes it more like FE7 if you dislike the game's differences from it. (Such as swordmasters and Berserkers having +30 to crit in the vanilla, axes being innacurate in the vanilla, etc. It's just a completely different game.) I will be the first to admit that FE6 is not the best FE game; I just like it a lot. I like its oddities and flaws.

This is good to know! I wasn't sure which of the two I'd move onto next. I'm sure I'll enjoy the QoL stuff in FE8, but I'm also willing to accept weird quirks and oddities in FE6! After all, that's kind of what I was expecting from FE7.

Haha. This is definitely true of me. I love FE7 but FE6 frustrated me to no end.

It's very easy to get RNG-screwed if Jaffar dies early. I learned that the hard way. Oh, and it's ridiculously easy to get OHKO'd by Ursula if you move too close to the bottom portion of the map. It's a much safer option if you just defend Zephiel and wait out the turns.

Thank you both for the warning and tips for chapter 25! I'll try to be prepared!

How is everyone doing on this fine Monday? I hope you had a good weekend.

Looks like businesses are starting to reopen here, so I'll likely be resuming my job on July 6th (after three months off work! It has, admittedly, been glorious). I am, however, looking forward to having some spending money again. There are some good games coming out in the next few months that I'm really looking forward to! Wonderful 101, the new Paper Mario (I'm tentatively optimistic), and Crosscode finally coming to Switch.

    Happy Birthday @Tylwyth Teg!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!! That's very kind of you! I had a nice couple of days, with lots of video calls and phone calls to family and friends. It was nice to talk to so many people! Though I need to recover a bit now 😛 I enjoyed having a day today spent at my desk drawing my comic. Very refreshing!

So, Tylwyth Teg, how are you enjoying FE7?

I am LOVING it! I was instantly so delighted by the absolute playability of the game by modern standards. I don't feel like I have stepped back to something more archaic, and I'm not really sure why I had expected I would. I'm currently on chapter 22 or 23 of Eliwood's story, and there hasn't been a single map so far that I've not enjoyed. I'm very excited think that I still have two more GBA titles to play in the future, when I'm finished with this!

Very much looking forward to Hector's route. I've grown very fond of him

Sounds to be great cakes! I love cheesecakes too, but for my birthday I rather prefer rolled cake filled of hazelnut cocoa spread. Can only eat it if you're not scared of all the calories in contain haha

We can work together and devour those calories >:D

    Happy birthday!

Cheesecake is the Florina of cake-Obviously the best in every way!

This thread is secretly a Florina fan-club. I'm really enjoying her in FE7!

I have a very closed friend who live close to me, but she will be at school this day sadly. And I would certainly be with my close family  😄 I will certainly make an excellent cake I have at every of my birthday haha, that would be at least show that it's a special day

The cake sounds perfect!! We are going to have a cake with strawberries and cream, though I am tempted to also make a cheesecake (my favourite!)

The United States, but I'm currently living in London. Wales is a very beautiful country.

    Haha, we've swapped countries 😛

I hope the lockdown stuff over there hasn't affected you too much. I heard from my family that it had been very strict where they live in Wales (which, on one hand, is good! But on the other hand, isolation can be tough!)

Well, yesterday when I was playing Xenoblade the idea to make a real size Riki plush came in my mind. (he is only 60cm) But it's been a while I don't sew and I never embroid, so that could be a bit hard. But some years ago, maybe I could do it because I sewed lots of things. And  I improved myself on that, since I started, but I actually stopped, and maybe loose my skills on that, but I could even tried, that's not a problem after all, just need the materials.

That is such a good idea!! I would love to see a life-sized Riki plush.

His shape shouldn't be too challenging. He's just a ball with arms, legs and hair 😄 If you do start to make him, please show me some progress photos!

That's too bad. Glad to hear that you got some cool stuff started!

I got to go to band class today and we did improvised solos! It was...Truly awful in the best possible way.

I'm now on my way to becoming the world's premier jazz oboist!

Band class sounds fun! I miss having group activities like that. Once life resumes here, I should look to see if there is something local I can join! (I used to have a group of people back at home who would meet up weekly to draw comics and it was such a lovely time!)

Can't wait to hear your oboe jazz 😛

That's bad.... But hope today will be a better day for you 😄

Good to know you did some great things! I hope to see how it ends up too!

I also have one or two projects to began when I have time to waste, but I'm too lazy for began them >.<

I'll post pictures of the terrarium if it survives! 😛 We'll see what it looks like in a few weeks...

What projects are you hoping to start? You can do it!!

*Comes crashing through the door followed by a mountain of empty whisky bottles*

Oh god...I'm old, drunk and its been a decade to the day since I graduated from high school.

*Tries to drink from one of the bottles only to find its empty*

NO! Whisky, why have you betrayed me!?!

Hello Wraith - that was quite the entrance!!

...If you're old - then I'm older! I hope the mountain of whisky bottles didn't crush you 😐

  9. I'd say that such algorithms definitely don't function quite so reliable when applied to real life. Your suggestions almost feel more like video-game logic, or mathematics or something.

When it comes to interacting with people and attempting to reach understanding, often the key factors at play are emotions. And, as I'm sure you well know, these can be drastically unpredictable! Some people can overreact emotionally, others might let emotions caused by other events to affect their decision. On the other end of the spectrum, people might be so willing to please that they will pretend to understand you to avoid hurting your feelings.

This isn't to say that there aren't things that you can to do make positive steps towards understanding, however! As human beings, our greatest tools of communication are our ability to empathize and exercise patience. If you (and the other person!) are willing to take the time to slow down, discuss, and make efforts to listen to each other and explore the topic at hand, then your chances of understanding are much improved. Even if you don't both necessarily agree with each other in the end, as long as you have had an empathetic and supportive conversation about the topic - then everyone is a winner!!

I would say that promoting positive values is always the best approach. Shaming somebody for their actions and telling them why they are terrible would only ever spark negative responses in that person. There is always a better way to approach situations that might allow you to discuss negative actions in a more constructive

If I receive no PM from you, I'll assume that you figured it out.  Which means if you make this kind of assumption again, it'll most likely be a warning.  Do I make myself clear?

I've gotta admit, I have no idea what Ertrick36 did to potentially earn a warning. I tried reading what you suggested and remain in the dark. Given the topic of this conversation, there's a certain irony in my lack of understanding!

I've been working on some tabletop-roleplaying-style FE fangames for almost a year now, and I'm gearing up to write something entirely original in the next few months.

    Hello! Welcome to the Forest!

I'm loving the idea of tabletop-roleplaying FE experiences. That sounds like a natural fit! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've created 🙂

T'was a pretty slow weekend, but I got to go on a really nice hike! I'm really lucky to live near some mountains, even if they're pretty small. It's also kind of sad though, because usually at this time of year we drive out to the rocky mountains for the weekends to hike. Still, you can't look a gift horse in the mouth, and I am truly glad to be able to do as much outside stuff as I am.

Hiking in the rocky mountains must be amazing!! I'm glad to hear you've still got some nice hikes closer to home though.

It's much the same here. We're lucky to live in the Berkshires in Massachusetts, so thankfully we have no shortage of really nice trails nearby. I wouldn't like to be living in a city right now!

Probably that time when I see Alvis on Xenoblade

Just kidding! I guess the best moment of this week end for me was just yesterday when I ran with my dog, I felt so free this time, worring about nothing. Then I played with her and pet her. Was a relaxing moment! That's nothing, but spend  time with animals us something I  really like.

    Haha! Alvis is good! 😛

I wish I had a dog! That sounds really wonderful 😊

Hi guys! I've been using SF's ressources for years but just have subscribed today since I've discovered Mekkah's channel. I'm a huge fan of FE: I mainly played 6-7-8, Awakening and Fates and now I'm on FE9 which I have never finished yet.

FE7 is by far my favourite and the very first FE I've played. FE8 could have been my favourite if it wasn't so short, I feel like the game's lore is completely unexploited... 😞

That's being said, have a nice day and see you around!

Great to meet you both!! Looking forward to seeing you around and getting to know you!
