It interesting to see the Nohrians winning pretty easily in the polls, I wonder what the japanese think of them....
-
Can there be a "I don't care as long as the DLC is actually worth my money" option?
-
Hinoka has an awesome design, Hoshido's ruler reminds me of Say'ri therefore I like her already.
Man if I have another character running around saying fie.....

Robin doesn't wear any blue.
Chrom is the protagonist
Robin is a deuteragonist

I'm guessing book bro is Sorin 2.0 but with a different back story. He gives me kinda a cold-tactician feeling compared to Marx's more charismatic one.

It's the final fantasy 5 of the fire emblem series.
Out of all the games it has to most humor and light-heartedness.
Both have solid(but easily exploitable) gameplay that revolves around changing classes.
Both have silly villains who are both inexplicably evil because they can be.
Also the protagonists wear blue. That's the most important part.

Is anyone else bothered by the fact that the icons have a different color at the bottom? I presume it's to show weapon triangle advantage but visually it's really bother some.

Upon closer inspection those black spots appear to be birds of some kind, perhaps ravens or crows?
I think it's clear she wants to join Kamui's caws. -
I think someone voted for Ganz out of pity.

Found another connection to that one Nohr stage/chapter we all keep seeing.
Now unless all Nohr stages are dark and gloomy like this, I wanna say it's the same chapter.
No idea who the green ally sprite is right next to Kamui. Could be the guy with the wrinkles who is talking since the armor is similar, but then the light pink hair???
So I got a theory, I think he is indeed the other unit, who is an ally on Nohr's side but he'll appear in Hoshido as a boss instead.

tbh the DLC release is the main thing I'd be worried* about
you do have to pay additional money for the "canonical" experience
Man, this is also my worry. If DLC says "Nah man those two stories we put time and effort into crafting mean NOTHING because our extra content is actually the canon anyway." Then I'll be upset but for now I welcome the two game.
-
Nah I think chapter 6 is the best way to start so that we get to maximize the amount of potential differences we get between the two.

Speaking of that Lucina card I was trying to do a bit of rudimentary translating and it seems that the first line in the second box states that "This card's unit is also treated as a 'marth.'" So it implies that certain characters might have affects based upon who they are? The second line of text I'm not sure since I never got to far into kanji could translate to "does +20 damage to dragons(or whatever that symbol means)"
Anyone else wanna take a whack at it?
Edit:
Also if you look at Gaius's art he's in assassin's clothing so we might be able to see characters in their promoted forms?

Im just really wondering what it is that makes King Garon so bad. Liek, i need context.
Because tropes.

It's amazing to see how the AAA gaming industry have it's affects outside of their own realm. People are seriously distrustful now-a-days.
-
It's worth noting that assassinating enemy rulers isn't actually evil.
She's a peace loving ruler who we assume just wants the best for everyone ala Emmeryn, so killing her does sound a little dirty.

So for those picking Nohr, which is quite a few of us. How bad do you want to be during your playthrough of FE:IF?
-
Before anyone asks, the dragonstone in kamui's inventory is the exact same dragonstone as in awakening, name and icon.
Damn, there goes my hopes of the Kirinikete. :c

I think until we have more information on what each path includes we can't safely say it's a cash grab or a bargain. Remember that NOA hasn't confirmed the two halves of the game.
So it might actually be a bargain if the games are distinctly different from the other since we won't have to pay full price for another game. Or they could be be the same (but I heard that there will be a map function in hoshido which makes already makes it impossible to be completely the same game).
Point is don't count your chickens before they hatch. You might be a few short, or you might end up with twins (I don't think that's possible for chickens though...)

I wanted to point out something. Hoshido apparently have access to the Ninja class.
Ninja, what kind of so called 'peaceful' naton would have Ninjas ? Ninjas are spies and murderers, the silent, sneaky, cruel kind.
Again I think the peace loving is true, but how they gain said peace is were the question will lie.

I actually liked them in awakening since lets be honest the brave weapons were ALWAYS better than their silver counterparts.
FE4 Continue was a skill so brave weapons made slower units or people without that skill instantly better.
FE5 Silver weapons were stupidly rare and weren't really worth it so brave weapons were superior.
FE6 With skill nerfed to above and beyond you need to get all the attacks you can get
FE7 More hits = more damage
FE8 See FE7
FE9 With weapon ranks hard to achieve Brave weapons were better because they were more accessible to units who couldn't get to A-rank
FE10 It's really irrelevant since 3rd tier was broken but the brave bow made Leo not total garbage
FE11 Is really the only time were silver weapons were better but that's because brave weapons didn't originally exist in FE1 so there was no place to add them outside of the online shop
FE12 See FE11 but replace FE1 with FE3
FE13 See FE7
Basically all that should really happen to them is become a lot rarer and only possibly buy-able at end game.
-
Ten bucks says the if you pick Hoshido, towards the end some of the Hoshidans will start enjoying the war a little too much and instead of creating balance they'll destroy Nohr for the sake of peace.
-
I'm guessing it will be a lot of the same people from awakening.

Incest has already been in Fire Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War to be specific. It's technically spoilers but at this point it's a case of Aerith dies and most people are aware that it happens but I'll spoil it just in case.
Deirdre is brainwashed and falls in love with Arvis, her half-brother she never met. Having a child who turns evil ala Arthurian Legend.
It has happened before but it has never been aware of/consensual/intentional.
So even before details of the game is talked about - DLC is announced?

I don't mind it too much, I mean it's possible that the americans will never get it anyway so the context just won't exist for us. Or NOA will make it free for us. That would also be cool.
