  1. It's the final fantasy 5 of the fire emblem series.

Out of all the games it has to most humor and light-heartedness.

Both have solid(but easily exploitable) gameplay that revolves around changing classes.

Both have silly villains who are both inexplicably evil because they can be.

Also the protagonists wear blue. That's the most important part.

  2. Found another connection to that one Nohr stage/chapter we all keep seeing.

Now unless all Nohr stages are dark and gloomy like this, I wanna say it's the same chapter.

No idea who the green ally sprite is right next to Kamui. Could be the guy with the wrinkles who is talking since the armor is similar, but then the light pink hair???

So I got a theory, I think he is indeed the other unit, who is an ally on Nohr's side but he'll appear in Hoshido as a boss instead.

  3. tbh the DLC release is the main thing I'd be worried* about

you do have to pay additional money for the "canonical" experience

Man, this is also my worry. If DLC says "Nah man those two stories we put time and effort into crafting mean NOTHING because our extra content is actually the canon anyway." Then I'll be upset but for now I welcome the two game.

  4. Speaking of that Lucina card I was trying to do a bit of rudimentary translating and it seems that the first line in the second box states that "This card's unit is also treated as a 'marth.'" So it implies that certain characters might have affects based upon who they are? The second line of text I'm not sure since I never got to far into kanji could translate to "does +20 damage to dragons(or whatever that symbol means)"

Anyone else wanna take a whack at it?

    Edit:

Also if you look at Gaius's art he's in assassin's clothing so we might be able to see characters in their promoted forms?

  5. I think until we have more information on what each path includes we can't safely say it's a cash grab or a bargain. Remember that NOA hasn't confirmed the two halves of the game.

So it might actually be a bargain if the games are distinctly different from the other since we won't have to pay full price for another game. Or they could be be the same (but I heard that there will be a map function in hoshido which makes already makes it impossible to be completely the same game).

Point is don't count your chickens before they hatch. You might be a few short, or you might end up with twins (I don't think that's possible for chickens though...)

  6. I actually liked them in awakening since lets be honest the brave weapons were ALWAYS better than their silver counterparts.

FE4 Continue was a skill so brave weapons made slower units or people without that skill instantly better.

FE5 Silver weapons were stupidly rare and weren't really worth it so brave weapons were superior.

FE6 With skill nerfed to above and beyond you need to get all the attacks you can get

FE7 More hits = more damage

    FE8 See FE7

FE9 With weapon ranks hard to achieve Brave weapons were better because they were more accessible to units who couldn't get to A-rank

FE10 It's really irrelevant since 3rd tier was broken but the brave bow made Leo not total garbage

FE11 Is really the only time were silver weapons were better but that's because brave weapons didn't originally exist in FE1 so there was no place to add them outside of the online shop

    FE12 See FE11 but replace FE1 with FE3

    FE13 See FE7

Basically all that should really happen to them is become a lot rarer and only possibly buy-able at end game.

  7. Incest has already been in Fire Emblem, Genealogy of the Holy War to be specific. It's technically spoilers but at this point it's a case of Aerith dies and most people are aware that it happens but I'll spoil it just in case.

Deirdre is brainwashed and falls in love with Arvis, her half-brother she never met. Having a child who turns evil ala Arthurian Legend.

It has happened before but it has never been aware of/consensual/intentional.
