Speaking of, does anyone know how buying for the postcard bonus on AmiAmi works? I see a few of the older sets marked as [new] with "Bonus" in the title, but when I click the link it says the website can't find the item... Tryna pick up a 5th box of Series 12 for an Ephraim SR, but if I need to wait to get the bonus postcards, I will before I commit to the purchase. But damn, I wasn't expecting an SR for Marcia, nor for her spot to be right after Soren's. Guess that means no other Greil mercs are making it it again, interesting. Also the numbering of this set eludes me; there's three cards in between Elena's N and Titania's R cards, which I guess only Mist can fill at this point, when I thought they'd put her after Ike to keep the family cards sequential. Any ideas who will fill spot 4-5 now?

I'm very aware. I was commenting on the fact that a widening gap between the two still increases the plausibility of the losing team getting a last second multiplier. In any other situation, a widening gap is a good thing in a contest for the winning team, but here, it isn't, and that's stupid is all.

Well, both teams are under performing, but it looks like Camilla is under performing more, widening the gap for the end result prediction... ...isn't fucked up how this is actually more worrisome at this point than it is relieving?

Ah right, I had forgotten about the Marth split. Now that's the greatest shame of the poll. Marth deserves better... This is an acceptable mistake. I see no problem with two great characters being mistaken for each other, lol.

As huge of an Ike fan as I am, I too was disappointed to see Marth (and even more so Ephraim) not break top 5. Though for me, I was more insulted that Chrom out of all people had more fans than Marth... but that makes sense I suppose. *Edit* I was one of the few who played Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn before Brawl released, which is when my like of Ike started. I'm actually a little shocked that Ike got so many new fans via Brawl, really. Maybe it was memes, but I guess there's something about his design that even total strangers love.

Last night I pulled an Ike, then a Hector, and then a Lyn with the free summon for the new banner. If that isn't symbolic of FE7 being avenged man than idk what is.

I swear, ever since I cleared my friends list a bit and switched my lead to Ephraim, I'm only getting the 3 Ike team... thank god my own Ike is +speed has Vantage though. Otherwise I wouldn't have won my two in the multiplier!

Curse the bounce. Idk, it's super hard to believe that any substantial amount of fans came from the assist trophy. Like you alluded to with Ike earlier, I think it's much more likely that there were a lot more dedicated Lyn voters than certain Awakening/Fates ones. That would also explain Hector's popularity, as he had no other exposure outside of his series (maybe a sticker in Brawl? Don't remember). No doubt about how Awakening and Fates reached more people than previous titles, but us in the older fanbase, as I'm sure you know, love to stick to our classics now that things have change direction so much.

To each there own I suppose, and since nearly every one of my posts here has been pretty off topic to the gauntlet, I'll help further this discussion lol. I struggled with the whole "I/they don't look like the character" thing, especially as a half-black dude, but cosplaying is just too fun to get that self-conscious/critical of others for me. In the end, we all just want to show our love for these fictional people, and for some cosplaying as them is the ultimate way of doing it. Don't let other's expression of their character love hinder your's though! That ain't fair to either party, you feel?

Her assist trophy role is so minuscule though, I'd be very surprised if she got more fans from there than her own game. Marth, Roy, and to a good extent Ike certainly, since they're playable, and the former two were majorly new to the west, but I think Lyn deserves a little more OG credit than that. Yeah, I think her Heroes incarnation is the fanservicey one. Her classic art is far less busty than that. It legit bothers me that she looks like that in Heroes... but oh well.

Any Ike cosplay is welcomed cosplay! Ranger Ike was my first cosplay, and I improved it and wore it again this year, but next year I'm hoping to go as Hero Ike.

I'd like to think Lyn's popularity came from her being the west's first FE lord... but deep down I know some are in it just for the legs.

As a fellow Ike enthusiast and Ike cosplayer, your boyfriend sounds like a respectable fellow. And what you say is true; every fanbase has its bad eggs, I guess I'm just shocked to hear about how bad Ike's fans can be. I've been blissfully ignorant it seems. And no pressure on who to join, go with your heart.
