  1. Hey all, so i have another noob question, but how can I (if i can) make a randomized map in mappy? i usually make them by hand, but creating large mountain ranges that look good are a little beyond me... Thanks!
  2. Hi guys. I'm going to start an Eirika HM file soon, and I know what units I want to use... mostly. Btw, I don't think I will play Creature Campaign. The team is: Eirika (Great Lord) Ephraim (Great Lord) Joshua (Swordmaster) Gerik (probably Hero) Tana (Wyvern Knight, I like speed and Swords are not really the best weapons) Garcia (Warrior or Hero?) Innes (Sniper, main candidate for Metis' scroll) Lute (Sage? Some say Mage Knight is better for ingame purposes) Natasha (Bishop, because both her and Joshua have 6 Mov) L'Arachel (Mage Knight or Valkyrie?) Franz (Great Knight or Paladin?) Gilliam (General or Great Knight?) Now, my main problems are promotions. I must say, I don't think Bows will be that useful, so Innes will S-Rank for Nidhogg, but that is about it. So Garcia and Gerik are more leaning towards Hero. Also, I still have to decide about Lute, L'Arachel, Franz and Gilliam. The last thing is supports. Any ideas? As a last thing, I don't want to grind so that the game is somewhat challenging.
  3. What would you guys say is the best pairings for the best kids? I am replaying Awakening since I'm through with Fates- Playing Lunatic, so I want the best stat/most powerful and damage doing kid units. This is including Morgan. MU; + Luck, - HP (If this proves a terrible idea, I'll probably change it.) For a project to work on in my spare time, I want to clear every paralogue and get every unit. I am not new to this series so don't worry about confusing me with stuff. I usually play while aiming for mainly offensive units with three or four tanks paired with high-attack support. This is my first Awakening run of Lunatic but I have an idea of how insane it can be. I've heard that it is harder than SD's H5 and a few other game's top difficulty levels so I'm not going in expecting to clear it within a week.

  5. So the reason why this is happening, is because nightmare refuses to save for some reason. Neither save or save as work. All the old topics that i can find don't have answer on how to fix this.

  9. I'm replaying Revelation for the second time, but it's the first time on hard mode. Classic mode. I'm struggling more than I expected to. I've been put to tears. Please help me. I don't know if I'm going to need more help after this, but we'll start here: Chapter 12. My avatar (+spd/-str). Keeps dying. I gave her and almost every other unit deployed at least one of the following tonics (my avatar has all of them): HP, luck, defense, resistance. I believe some of them also had a meal that boosts speed. In the past, I've put other royals on the same boat as the avatar, because they've always had the best stats for me. But because I now know about the Dragon Veins and how tedious the map can be without putting one royal on each boat, she is the only royal on that boat. I've been putting Subaki (reclassed to Samurai) and Hayato alongside her. All of my units so far have survived except Kaze and Saizo. I also have two bond units, one a Samurai, another a Wyvern Rider. All three of those units on that boat get pretty banged up on, but my avatar gets it the most, especially from the Dark Mages. I feel like I've done all I can to prepare myself for this chapter, yet I can't stop letting myself down. Anyone, please give me tips. I need help.
  10. Yes you did indeed read the title of this topic correctly, I have never played a Fire Emblem game. I've wanted to play one for a while now and so I asked one of my friends whcih game I should start with. He originally replied with FE7, but then changed his decision to FE8 which is what I'll be playing through. I must start off with saying that I do know most of the basic things about Fire Emblem like the weapon triangle, which stats do what, and that I should "Share the experience" as my friend calls it. Any questions I ask about the story are completely my own thoughts and I do not want answers to them. Any tips or suggestions on how to play the game or which characters I should use would be greatly appreciated. I will be playing Fire Emblem Sacred Stones on Normal difficulty. I'm not sure if this usual Fire Emblem stats, but holy crud look at those stats! (I probably sound like the biggest noob ever) Despite Seth having good stats I used Eirika the entire Prologue Map and I managed to KO everyone with her. She got a critical on the very first boss and destroyed him immediately. This seems like a good level up to me. Hopefully I'm not wrong. And this was my entire Fire Emblem Sacred Stones Prologue Chapter in a nutshell. I don't have much to say on the story since it currently seems pretty generic, but my friend has told me it gets better, so I shall listen.   11. ok I'm not really a person who uses forums so please tell me if this should go somewhere else or anything like that. I tried googling it and got basically nothing. (if i mess it up oh well live and learn) if my Corrin is marrying Silas, what would be the best asset/flaw to choose? what about the best alternate class? I remember reading somewhere that you should base some of these choices on who you plan to marry but I don't remember particulars. this is for a Revelation run! thanks
  12. My first question is about the custom animations. I've followed the tutorial "Alfred Kamon" (I think I spelled it right...) put on here I think... 2 years ago. I haven't found a new one since. But anyways, he was explaining that I needed an old version to do it. However... I've only had access to this kind of "Battle Animation Pointer", which is a dropdown. Is there a way I can do it with the dropdown? Do I need to use an older version of the "Class Editor" module? Or is there is a newer way of doing this? My second and final question is about eventing. Is there a tutorial on how FE8 event style works? I haven't really found any... If there's not, how do you customize what happens in the game? (Note that this is all before I use Event Assembler, whatever that is.) Sorry for bothering you guys.
  13. I need help determining which names are the most accurate in terms of the Binding Blade exclusive characters in my story. I've been seeing conflicting sources, and I'm not sure which sources are more 'true' than others. I don't exactly need all of them, just the ones below: Some of these characters are more clearly named than others, I'm just listing them for the sake of completeness. (hopefully I remembered them all)
  14. Hi, I was wondering if you guys could give me any advice. I'm trying to level up characters, where by default, their flaw is strength/magic, thus making it more difficult for skill grinding when they change to a class that can't weild magic/strength weapons. For example: Orochi's flaw is strength. I'm trying to level her up as a blacksmith, but her strength is awful. (I suppose I could grind with her for a bolt axe, but that would take too long to grind for.) Another example: Takumi's flaw is magic. I'm trying to level him up as a sorcerer. Tips? Also, any tips on where to grind single units would also be helpful. I'm playing on Revelation.
  15. So I really want a Ebon Wing, and doing the Royal Royale DLC seems to be the best way to get them - Problem is, I can't to save my life not beat it. I mean, I'm by no means bad, but the rng just screws me so incredibly hard it isn't even funny... Anyone else who has problems with this dlc? I'm looking for some tips, to make my life a little easier. I've tried Ryoma, but due to me not landing hits, getting crits or triggering astra, I just get absolutely destroyed. Kagero and Saizo die from one hit anyway, so it's a given I can't rely much on them for anything other than lowering stats and chip damage. I've tried pairing them up with Ryoma, pairing them up with themselves or eachother, but no - If Effie as much as glances at any character they're dead :/ I have tried Elise, which went ok, until I missed a shot and then a couple turns later misplaced Effie one square. Leo get's hammered pretty hard once Effie gets down to the southern part - And Sakura can't seem to scratch Leo's team. Xander seems obvious, but Peri is super squishy and can't take a hit either - So I'm not sure what to do there :/ As you can see, I'm not sure what to do - I've read some people having an easy time with the DLC, but that must mean I'm doing something horribly wrong :/ Any tips or helpful advice is much appreciated!
  16. I did installed iTunes in my computer and did signed up on the apple network successfully. But I did download Miitomo in iTunes in a few weeks ago; I can't seem to get that thing installed? Is this app only works on Apple Portable devices like iPhones and iPads + Android or is there a way to get Miitomo get installed properly? This is my first time using iTunes and I was going to use it for My Nintendo.
  17. Hey guys. I need some advice on how to beat Chapter 10 in Hard Conquest. I'm having a lot of trouble getting past the first few turns. Moreover, it's getting really frustrating as just one missclick can cost the entire run. Not to mention the stupid 91-92% misses my units are getting. Is there anything I can do or I need to just pay a lot of attention. Last, is Ch. 10 the hardest in Conquest? I hope so, but I have a feeling that I'll be really satisfied when I clear it. It's not nearly as boring as, say, Arcadia from FE6. I can provide additional details if needed (I already watched Mangs' guide to Chapter 10 and it's made my life a little bit easier, but I still have some problems)

  21. Ok,so you know how in chapter 16 of conquest you have to interrogate soldiers right? Is there anyway to prevent a lot of money from being stolen this chapter? Also, Is ashura always the soldier you talk to? Because he is for me most of the playthroughs I've done. Any help at all will be appreciated!

  24. Good morning/afternoon/evening everyone, I'm not sure how to ask so I'll just be blunt. I've been working on my hack for the past year or so and I'm looking for some additional help in my hack. You can find out more about my hack in the Fan Projects section, it's called FE: Book of Eden. Below are the categories that I'm looking for help in. Beta Testers: I'm looking for about 1-2 more testers. Tasks would include feedback on the story, things like consistency, plotholes, and your general thoughts. Extra people to bounce ideas off of. I already have grammar checkers but one more wouldn't hurt. Sprites: Spriters would be nice, though you do not have to be an expert. Mostly just touch ups and chibi portraits (90% of my portraits don't have a proper chibi portrait and the other 10 are missing one.) I'll admit chibi are not one of my favorite areas to work on. I'm willing to exchange favors/help. My hack has a sort of cross-over theme so we can also exchange portraits too. Script writers: Anyone experienced in writing animation scripts and converting FE8 monster animations to call the proper sound effects and run properly on FE7? That's pretty much what I need help in. I have no background in writing code or programming. I'm willing to provide compensation, either through exchanging favors/help or payment. Music: I'm currently using the default FE7 soundtrack but it would be nice to have help in this area. Inserting some songs from FE6 and FE8 and some other midi I found. I have even less knowledge in music than I do in programming. I hope I'm not being too confusing in my explanation. If you have any questions, you can either PM me or ask them here.
