  1. Here it is! I was really glad that my previously made "Friendship Seal Chart" was positively received, and I hinted to the possibility of me making a "Partner Seal Chart" as well... Well, after countless hours, I finally managed to make a complete chart of all possible marriages in Fire Emblem Fates! (Yes all 817 of them!, at least when counted in one direction. In reality marriages work in both ways, so some information will be displayed twice.) Here is the result: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1EoYvI1FUNqZ3dpcjZwdU9CX0E/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-zq0JMUw2kAIcBfIeCmCR-A This chart shows all the possible marriages, the classes and skills that are gained from said marriage for both the parent and the child, the support bonuses from both the guard and attack stance that the unit in question would gain from a S support, and last but not least, this chart also shows the stat modifiers from the parents that determine the maxium stat caps of their children. I believe this chart provides a nice overview of several important factors, which can assist you in your final decision of what pair you should give that Partner seal to. Here is a quick recap of the inner workings of the Partner Seals: Partner Seals are used between two characters of the opposite sex that can support with eachother, (although there are two exceptions, Niles and Rhajat can have a same sex marriage with the Avatar) in order to gain the base class of the supporting unit in question, or a secondary class if the base class is already known to the supported unit. Special classes can not be gained in this way. (but you gain a secondary or tertiary class instead) In contrast to the Friendship Seal, the Partner seal works in both ways. This means that when unit A has a S support with unit B, unit B also has a S support with unit A. From most marriages one or possibly two children are born, with one base class and two classes that are inherited from each of the parents. The parents also determine the possible maximum stats the child can reach in each attribute. Special thanks to serenesforest.net for the information needed, and spriters-resource.com for the used sprites. I hope this chart will prove somewhat useful to you guys! I you would like to check out my previously made "Friendship Seal Chart", click here. With thunderous ambition, Masterthunderblade P.S. Feel free to point out the mistakes or errors I made, there is bound to be a copy-paste mistake somewhere or another kind of error. Fire Emblem Fates - Partner Seal Chart.pdf
  2. I'm nearing endgame in Golden Deer and I'm now starting to think about trying to pair characters up so that they end up married in the post game. I've read various contradictory things about this mechanic in different places, and I really don't know what's what! Some seem to think it's all random, but others think you can control it to a degree. I've heard that in order to control who ends up with who, you need to look at who their "Close Allies" are under Notes as well as having the highest level of support (only A, or A+ will have a chance to marry each other). Whoever is the top in the "Close Allies" field has a good chance of marrying their corresponding top if their support is maxed. In order to get an ally into the top spot it is said that you have to spend a lot of time fighting next to each other and/or assign them as adjutants. I've noticed that perhaps assigning as adjutants is more effective since my Byleth has Felix in his top spot and they hardly ever fight together but I often assign Felix as Byleth's adjutant. I guess it's easier to get into fights together when you're stuck together! Now a question I have is: LOTS of people have Marianne as their top in "Close Allies". Marianne does not have any A+ supports on my route, but she does have two C+ supports: Ferdinand and Lornez. I actually don't want her married to either of those guys, but will the game pick one due to her having a special C+ support or does it HAVE to be A+ support to force a pairing? FWIW she currently has A support with both of them. I've also understood that the game keeps an invisible tally of support points past A or A+, and whoever has the highest tally will end up married (but I am not sure if this is always the same as the person in the top spot of "Close Allies"). Oh yes and also I've heard that if you ONLY give a character one A or A+ support (and leave the rest at B or lower) this will force them to wed in post game. It's too late for that in my game, but many report this working seemingly. If you micromanaged your characters' love lives, what was your strategy? Also, is there a list somewhere of all potential pairings? I've heard of fun ones like Dorothea x Petra but is it the case that all A supports can end up married regardless of gender?
  3. Hi! I've been playing Fire emblem for years now and I've finally gotten up the guts to play lunatic in Awakening, and I was wondering who's the best marriage partner for each girl? I'm not going by support convos, I want to make all of the kids as strong as possible. BTW, my MU is a girl, but I'm pairing her with Frederick, and I'm pairing Chrom with Sumia. Both of those pairing are non-negotiable, but as far as everyone else; fire away!
  4. Heyo! I'm on a quest to get some of the strongest kids you can get in this game, and through many threads and help from the advice people have given me on some of my other posts, I think I've got some great pairings; but alas, I have one last problem: Panne. I have every single character a partner, but her. The only men not taken are Kellam and Gregor, and I don't know who's a better Dad for Yarne. Thanks in advance!
  5. Heyo! I was wondering who is best for these lovely gals to marry for their kids to have really good stats and/or good abilities. IMPORTANT: Most threads I've read say to marry them to either Henry or Ricken respectively for their magic and such. I'll more than likely change Brady to some other magical class, but if Owain stays a myrmidon should he have a different father besides a magic based one? I don't really want to change his class. Thanks!
  6. Hello, I'm currently playing as a female Corrin, but I am stuck on who should marry who. So far the only pairing I have decided on is Hayato and Orochi. Please help! Thank you. ^-^
  7. Hello, So I got Birthright when it first came out last year. Played it for a few weeks and got to around chapter 18 or so, then got sidetracked with life and other things. Recently, I got back into FE stuff and decided it was time to finally finish the game. However, it was a lot worse than I remember it being last year. The characters seemed boring and I'm pretty sure I invested in poor choices for my main units on that file (yeah, I know, "Birthright is so easy!" you will say...). I'm on Ch 22 on that file and my Hana gets wrecked constantly, Rinkah sucks, my Mozu is crap. I didn't use units like Oboro and Scarlet, who are highly acclaimed. Not that I knew then, I was just using units I thought would be good (Mozu = Donnel!? Not in this game). I remembering enjoying Awakening much more than Fates (I found I like the 'normal' medieval themed units of FE - cavalier, knight, hero, sage, etc. - more than the Japanese themed units...). ANYWAY, since I'm giving BR another go, I figured I'd start a new file and give it a fresh start. I'm planning on using some of the kids this time around - I'm most excited for Sophie and Shiro. I figured the kids would give me more customizability with skills, as I loved training units for skills and planning out OP kids in Awakening (My favorites being Kjelle [Aegis, Pavise, Luna, Lethality, Dual Guard], Noire [Astra, Vengeance with a 102% proc rate!, Bowfaire, Lifetaker, Slow Burn], and Donnel [HP +5, Counter, Sol, Zeal, Armsthrift with 98% proc). So I started looking into Sophie first and I based my Avatar around her - Silas (Great Knight) + Avatar (Hoshidan Noble) = Sophie (Paladin) [Skills: Aegis, Pavise, Luna/Dragon Fang, Sol, Hoshidan Unity] I selected her skills and was making a plan for class changes and inheritances from Silas and Avatar (who's secondary class is Knight). However, I started reading that class changes are finite, in contrast to Awakening where we could do as much as we wanted, and BR added a lot of new class change options with new seals and relationships (S, A+, and A with certain characters). Needless to say, I feel like BR is way harder to plan out kids and training than Awakening, and it's been awhile since I took FE as seriously as I did years ago with Awakening... I'm getting confused with the route here. I was hoping to do the following: Silas class change to Knight - General (S relationship with Avatar) to grab Pavise - back to Great Knight for final class. Avatar change to Hoshidan Noble to get Hoshidan Unity. Recruit Sophie with Pavise and Hoshidan Unity inherited from parents. Change Sophie into Merc - Hero to grab Sol. Change to Nohr Princess (through mother's class inheritance) to get Dragon Fang AND/OR class back to Cavalier - Great Knight to get Luna. Finally, change to Paladin (end class) to finish with Aegis. Is this possible? I definitely feel as if it is not optimal. I'm aware of buying skills on MyCastle. If I just buy stuff like Sol and Pavise for Sophie, will she miss out on growths and stuff from leveling her more on other classes to get certain skills? I'm not opposed to buying some skills if I can find a Sophie with some of the promoted class level 15 skills (Pavise). Looking for any advice besides "Just make Sophie and then go buy all the skills" (which is obvious) to make this skill set as easily obtained and streamed lined as possible while maxing Sophie's stats. Also, any advice on maximizing kids and tips for skill hunting (without using MyCastle) would be appreciated, as it would help me plan out other kids after Sophie. I just feel as if this game is not as intuitive as Awakening was with this stuff and is more confusing. Maybe I'm just getting old and stupid. Thank you! Tl;dr I don't like BR as much as Awakening - planning kids and skills is not as fun this time around. --- I want Avatar!Sophie. Avatar class at creation is Knight. Sophie ends as Paladin with Aegis, Pavise, Luna/Dragon Fang, Sol, Hoshidan Unity. Most efficient path to make this Sophie with maxed stats (aside from buying every skill from MyCastle)?
  8. Started working on a personal pairing guide to accommodate for growths, inheritance and story talks for every combination possible in Genealogy of the Holy War. It has now become so complex that I'd like to share it for general usage. It is still very much a work in progress, so I'd be interested in hearing what you have to say about how it could be streamlined and improved upon if you have the time. Link here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9H3x-jIxRxpLVJWR3ZzY3JiVlU/view?usp=sharing Spreadsheet is split up into Holy Blood bonuses, skills, weapons, special talks/items/stat boosts, royal lineage and overall potential. In particular I'm looking for a way to incorporate weapon rank changes between fathers and combined child growth rates (w/o Holy Blood), while still making the spreadsheet user friendly. Thanks for reading and I look forward to hearing what you think!
  9. I have some S-ranks already, but I only went ahead with the pairs I really ship. Since this is for my main file, I really want to be sure that I like all of the S-ranks I go with, but I honestly have no idea what other S-supports I should go for. I want all of the kids, and I could just go for the hair colour I like, but I think I'd regret pairing a couple who's supports I don't like or care for. So, concerning the characters I haven't paired yet, are there any supports that are really good? Either interesting or entertaining. Like Selkie and Asugi, where they went on missions together, that sort of thing~ Honestly, anything will do if it's not just the standard "Apparently I fell in love with you while we were cleaning that one shelf yesterday. I'm so glad we met two days ago." Here's my list of the S-ranks I have: Ryouma x Mozu Queen Mozu is best Mozu. I really like the idea of a peasant becoming queen. <3 Mozu is probably good with Xander, too, but I don't think Mozu has a single bad support. Hinoka x Subaki Mainly for Not-Cordelia's hair colour, but Subaki is rather prince-like. As well as that, though their supports weren't very interesting, they did suggest that Hinoka and Subaki have known each other for a long time. Takami x Setsuna Setsuna is one of my favourites, I don't know why but I seriously adore her, pft. ;; I think she and Takumi look really cute together, and though Setsuna's supports are basically all the same, her support with Takumi made me laugh a lot. Azura x Kaden They remind me of a Princess Mononoke-type of couple, and their supports were the cutest I've seen. I don't think I could pair them with anyone else. <3 Xander x Sakura I wanted to marry one of the siblings to each other, but I shipped things for the other Hoshido siblings already. Xander and Sakura are weird for the age, but I think he'd treat her well. Leo x Nyx Leo probably has better supports, but his with Nyx was pretty good. Nyx has my favourite hair colour for Forrest, I think he just looks better with darker hair. Camilla x Keaton I didn't get the impression that Camilla actually liked him, but I like Keaton's daughter being a princess. Kaze x Felicia They're really cute, and they look good together! Odin x Selena Owain and Severa were married on Awakening, so it's as if their marriage carried over into Fates. Extra rambling: I'm not sure if Niles and Beruka's supported were really that interesting, but they look like they'd be a cute couple. I could see him putting a bow in her hair or something, with her not really saying anything for or against it, but then never taking it out. <3 For Peri, I'm between Laslow and Arthur. She looks nicer with Laslow, and from what I've seen, that's the pairing most people prefer. However, Arthur and Peri seem kind of interesting, since they're like a hero and villain duo from a comic book or something. (Superman and Harley Quinn?) On the other hand, though, Peri's too cute for Arthur, and they don't look good when next to each other. So then, though, who would I pair Arthur with? I don't really ship anyone with him. Is there anyone he's actually good with, as far as either chemistry goes or how interesting/entertaining the supports are? I have the same issue with Azama. I really don't like him with anyone, but I have to pair him with someone since I like Mitama. ;; I've seen that Effie is really popular with Azama, but she deserves so much better. Effie is popular with Arthur, too, but I think I actually like her with Benny. At least he'd treat her well. I paired Azama with Oboro in Birthright, and I don't want to pair her with him again. I just can't look at them and say "Ah yes, these two are a couple." I suppose I'll have to suck it up and marry Azama and Arthur with someone, but I can't for the life of me decide who with. Gotta do it for the kids, even if I'd much rather have pairings that I actually ship. As far as Laslow goes, aside from Peri, I was wondering if he was good with Elise. They're kind of awkward because of the ages, but in Awakening, I married Inigo to someone with Libra as the father, so Elise would give him a blond Solei. Maybe I could just marry him to whoever, and say his first marriage didn't work out? Or just pretend it never happened-? For Oboro, I have half a mind to pair her with Hinata. It's mostly because I guess they just look good together? Or, well, they're pretty similar in height and stuff, and they just look like they could be love interests. They just look... natural with each other? Aside from them, are there any Oboro or Hinata pairings that are better? Oboro and Takumi are perfect, and I'm afraid to ever do their supports in case I like them too much. I really ship Takumi and Setsuna, so~ I married Jakob to Hana in Birthright, and they're alright if not a bit boring. I do like the proposal, though. Jakob and Rinka seem to be unpopular, but they had one of the few supports where I actually couldn't wait to see what came next. It was just Jakob being a jerk to her, but the banter was really entertaining to me, I guess? That said, I don''t want to pair them for my main file. In Birthright, I married Saizo to Kagero, and I guess that aside from Effie, she's the only one who really looks old enough for him, and they're both mature looking. Despite that, are there any Saizo and Kagero supports that are better? I remember someone saying that Saizo and Charlotte were good. Also, should I pair Hayato with Orochi? It feels like I shouldn't just because they're "the two mages", but I like Rhajat with Orochi's hair colour. She looks strange with lighter hair colour, but with Orochi's colour, it won't be dark enough to make her look like Tharja, so it's not a bad colour at all. Sorry for all this, I think that's everything I had to say?
  10. So I am on my second play through of Conquest, this time on Hard/casual. I don't remember every mission and what type of enemies are prevalent in CQ, so those might influence my decision on marriages. Because I really like Midori (who doesn't?), I'm struggling with who should be Midori's mother. I think I did Beruka in my last CQ play based on an "optimized marriages" list, and I don't remember her being good at anything. This time around, I'd like to have either Azura or Effie be Midori's mom, and keep Midori either a Master Ninja or maybe even play around with General. The only thing about Azura is that I'm hoping to save her for Kinshi Knight Soleil. What do you guys think?
  11. In FE4, every character had a child unit associated with them, regardless of gender. In 13, only women decide children, and in 14, men. Why? Why make less child units? And I know it's not cartridge space, cause an SNES fit it all in and was fine!
  12. Howdy everyone, so I'm playing Revelations and now I've gotten to know like all of the characters because of Conquest and Birthright. But there is one little problem... I STILL HAVE NO IDEA WHO I SHOULD PAIR UP!?!? In Awakening it was so much easier, I knew exactly who would be good with who, and I personally think my Awakening match ups were dead on (humblebrag). But with Fates, I just have no idea. Very few people are married in my game so I am turning the tables to you fellow Fire Emblem fans! Please, sell me your Fire Emblem Fates ships that can be achieved in Revelations. I don't really care about what kids can get what skill from whatever parent or anything technical like that. I'm all about personality and story! So please, help a guy out and sell me on your personal preferred pairings. With some excepts. These are the pairings that I already have... MaleCorrin x Niles Felicia x Inigo Owain x Severa Kagero x Saizo That's all I got. Their "Fates" are in your hands.
  13. so i accidentally married chrom off to sumia, so i cant have chrom as inigos father. and im mostly wondering whos best for severa? i heard libras good for her, but i was gonna marry him to maribelle. also, will lucina good mother for morgan? if not i was gonna do tiki
  14. I would like help from you experiences players in this predicament I'm in. I don't know who to marry who to. I already DID do some pair ups, which are listed below. What other pair-ups should I do for the best stats and abilities possible? Any and all help is very much appreciated! ChromxSumia FeMUxPriam LissaxLibra VaikexNowi Those are my total supports. Who should the others go to?
  15. I've always wondered as a male player "Who did girls choose to marry." So here I present my question to any and all female fire emblem fans. If you are wondering about this question in vice versa, I married Peri in fates and Severa in awakening.
  16. So its time again my friends to decide on my next marriage partner for my upcoming playthrough, but like before i'm at a crossroad for my options. This decision is of course personality based and not efficiency based. Should I marry Ophelia or Caeldori? I always liked Owain so Ophelia grew on my very quickly and my first pairing in awakening was with Cordelia so i'm quite crossed on this one. What do you guys think?
  17. So I have a question regarding Marriage and Friendship Seals in this game. From what I've gathered online, once using a Friendship (or Marriage) Seal into a class that class is permanently added to the unit's class options via Heart Seal. For me that has not been the case with anything other than the DLC class seals. Also a question is I have read that should the units primary classes be the same the secondary class is given instead. Again this has not been the case in either Marriage or Friendship seals. And finally, I have been able to give the Avatar access to any class via Friendship Seals. However I read that the relationship is NOT one way, and his secondary class (Oni Savage) should be able to be given to any male unit with an A support. Again this has not been the case for me. After doing extensive searching on this I can't find anybody saying what I am saying. Is it possible my game is bugged? This is the special edition BTW in case that matters. I'm also playing on Revelation. Any help would be much appreciated.
  18. sorry im relatively new to fire emblem, my first game was awakening. but my setsuna's only a level 12 archer right now and saizos only level 15 and still just a ninja. should i use a master seal on them both then marry them? or have one or both of them use a heart seal to get different skills to pass down?? also are there any skills i really should give to asugi? or maybe he should have a different mother?
  19. So now that I have completed all three paths its time to finally get to my second revelations playthrough. At the moment for me its a three way tie between Ophelia, Charlotte, and Elise. Since I used all three a decent amount in my other playthroughs this decision comes as a challenge for me. I like all three of them for different reasons so i'm looking for someone else's input. What do you guys think?
  20. Hey guys and gals! With the new Fire Emblem comes the new wave of pairing threads, so I guess I'm gonna contribute to that. I'm looking for some advice for my Conquest playthrough. I made my Female Avatar a +Mag -Lck. I'm leaning towards having her end up as a Sorcerer or Onmyoji (suggestions for that as well?) and I really don't know who to pair her with. I took Diviner as her second class because of the access to Mag+2/Future Sight for early game and for Tomefaire, and because Rend Heaven is just so fantastic to pass to everyone. I want to optimise this run but I'm not so comfortable with Nohr children yet, since this is my first playthrough with Nohr. I don't mind the pairing to not be the absolute best because I'm only on hard mode. I'm thinking of a few potential husbands and need help with choosing: Leo: I guess that would make two great children, but I really don't want to pair her up with her brother, even if not related by blood, just seems too weird to me... Alright enough sentimentality, I'll do it if I must, but it just doesn't feel right to me :P (remember Owain x Lucina?). Odin: God this guy is just so epic. Always been a fan of Owain. Anyway, I guess he could make a good father for a mixed Nohr Noble Kana and his good skill stat benefits having skills like Dragon Fang/Rend Heaven. Like Leo, not a lot of class diversity. Forrest: Kana would just be so damn great with Forrest as a father, but I don't really know if it's better to have two awesome children or one godlike unit. I'm really open to suggestions for other potential husbands, as well as for ending classes/skills for the children. Thanks for the help! TorterraX
  21. Who would be best pairings for Takumi, Hinata and Azura? Want to focus on these three and get there kids right now
  22. Just want some advice on my parings for my revelations run. I tried to pair characters from Hoshido and Nohr together as much as possible and also I just had to do Selena!Caeldori. Silas - Azura Subaki (Tsubaki) - Selena Laslow - Peri Ryoma - Camilla Xander - Hinoka Leo - Sakura Kaze - Beruka Odin - Elise Niles (Zero) - Oboro Saizo - Charlotte Benny - Mozu Jakob - Nyx Keaton (Flannel) - Hana Kaden (Nishiki) - Rinkah Hayato(Tsukyomi)- Effie Arthur - Setsuna Takumi - Kagero Hinata - Orochi Azama (Asama) - Felicia
  23. Who is the best child to marry for male corrin? Caedori or Ophelia?
  24. Found a great marriage/inheritence planner, it even shows classes and hair color for offspring. Really wished I found this when I did my pairings, I had to do an excel chart for the classes https://inheritance-planner.herokuapp.com/
