ok, consider my team finalized for real (not trading anymore).

Preview:

Kallen: First picked her last draft, first picked her again. She will solo maps for me and demolish everything in sight.

Lelouch: MAP spam and superb tanking, so of course~

Trowa: Support attacks, earlygame extra unit, and decent power on his own.

Quatre: Resupplier after FUB, another earlygame help.

Duo: More earlygame power, because you can never have enough.

Harry: UNIVEEEEEEEEEEEEEERSE!!!

Wufei: Last of the wing boys to join, pretty decent too I guess.

Toudou: More CG power for me, why not?

C.C.: Z2.2 support.

Cynthia: Extra midgame firepower

Go: Much-needed Z2.2 routesplit manpower

Xingke: Z2.2 lategame bonus

Suzaku: See Xingke

Jeremiah: See Xingke

Chiba: more Z2.2 power I guess

Total: 2

Crowe kills 5, wufei 2. Standard clear really. Chose Long-Range Brasta.

Brasta - EN+1, Mobility+2, Weapons+1

Stage 2:
Turns: 3/6
SR Points: 2
Total: 4

Another simple 3-turn clear.

Brasta - Mobility+2, Weapons+1

Stage 3:
Turns: 3/9
SR Points: 3
Total: 6

Easy 3-turn clear.

Brasta - EN+3, Mobility+1, Weapons+1

Stage 4:
Turns: 3/12
SR Points: 4
Total: 8

Another easy 3-turn clear.

Brasta - Weapons+1
Deathscythe - EN+6

Stage 5:
Turns: 5/17
SR Points: 5
Total: 12

Took me 3 turns to trigger the enemies, and another 2 to clean up, but no real fuss otherwise.

Glasgow - EN+5, Mobility+2

Stage 6:
Turns: 5/22
SR Points: 6
Total: 16

Doubt this stage is doable faster than this...

Game gives four turns, only needed three.

since wen kept nagging me:

stage 1: 3 - 1 turns

stage 2: 3 - 1 turns

stage 3: 3 - 1 turns

stage 4: 3 - 1 turns

stage 5: 5 - 1 turns - colony gundam route

stage 6: 4 - 1 turns

stage 7: 3 - 1 turns

stage 8: 5 - 1 turns

stage 9: 5 - 1 turns

Note about stage 6, it is technically possible to 4 turn but it seems to be luck reliant. I've played up to stage 15, but I'm not happy with some of the turncounts I got there, so I'll replay those. My upgrade path was to first focus upgrades on Chirico and Crowe, then when the Macross gang showed up funnel money into them.

updated turncounts:

stage 10: 6 - 1 turns - Area 11 route

stage 11: 3 - 1 turns

stage 12: 5 - 1 turns

stage 13: 3 - 1 turns

stage 14: 4 - 1 turns

stage 15: 4 - 1 turns

The unfortunate reality of stage 10 is that as far as I know the only trigger to go to the next part of the stage is to reach turn 3 player phase, which means the game registers a turn I actually didn't have. Oh well. Of all these stages I'm quite sure I've hit the minimum possible turncount. I'm going to go with the open team, so these last stages have been spent pumping upgrades into the Macross blokes.

I guess you learn new things in drafts. Found a way to reliably 4-turn this stage~

Deathscythe - Mobility+2, Accuracy+2, Weapons+2


Stage 10:
Turns: 6/40
SR Points: 10
Total: 30

3 turns outside, 3 inside. Lots of wasted pp for me :(

Deathscythe - EN+1, Weapons+1


Stage 11:
Turns: 3/43
SR Points: 11
Total: 32

3 turns is all it takes~

Brasta - EN+6, Accuracy+3


Stage 12:
Turns: 5/48
SR Points: 12
Total: 36

A stage that is reasonably easy to 5-turn.


Stage 13:

Total: 38

I have Kallen and Suzaku so this stage was easy.

Time for reviewing my draftees.........


Kamina/Simon (Gurren Lagann) - I was a fan of the anime hence Why I started to pick this guy. Nothing could stop me from seeing Giga Drill Breaker.....minor upgrades depending on the funds I have. Will get FUB on 2.2 though.

Shinobu (Final Dancougar) - Love the anime hence why I use. Will give some love but will save for 2.2 before I really put up with him.

Kira (Gundam SEED DESTINY) - Not gonna complain about this guy. Will be one of my two FUB but only for the first half in fact most of the SEED crew will get that treatment.

Athrun - Same as above.....kinda

Shinn - Same as above but used slightly more than the others

Lunamaria - I have no choice but to use her sue me

Dayakka/Yoko - Only other member from Team Lagann ranged will hopefully be my friend....

Witz - Gonna give some play for this one. Maybe take up to FUB on the first half if I can afford it.

Roybea - Moar Gundams.......not gonna hate will be FUB for the extra ammo.....late game

Garrod - Just gonna hang around with the rest of the Gundams will obviously use.....

Jamil - Gonna be sniping all day with Gundams.....maybe

Setsuko - Most Original Units do not get hate from me so this will stand until I finish my playthrough.

Enil - The last of the Gundam X crew acquired.......they will serve my madness well.....

Brera - One of those.....eh why not units....doesn't mean I will ignore

Holland - Was running out of units and seemed like a safe pick.....I'll be fine I hope....

Gino - Same as Holland....I think....I forget

SR point was easy, so was the rest. Trowa & Quatre get~

Total: 47

Again, easy SR point. Kallen soloed brittania side, Crowe OZ side, the rest cleans up. Chirico's duel is the 4th turn.

Stage 17:

SR Points: 17
Total: 50

This stage was pretty close. literally took every last move to get the SR and finish on EP4.

SR point was easy enough (then again, I had a lot of units), but having to hold back to avoid the penalty was annoying.

I guess I should start posting some turn counts. I definitely feel like I picked my team for late game a bit too much as I ended up missing a few SR points from having too few units.

Map 1 3/3 Turns 1 SR
Pretty basic map. Chose Ranged Brasta for better support attacking.
Map 2 3/6 Turns 2 SR
I almost managed to 2 turn this one but for whatever reason one of the Hellions refused to attack on turn 2 EP so I had to clean it up turn 3. Took Celestial Being route.
Map 3 3/9 Turns 3 SR
Crowe took out the initial enemies on turn 1, Heero took out Trieze while Setsuna and Lockon took out the other reinforcements.
Map 4 4/13 Turns 4 SR
A crit by Crowe on Trowa triggered the reinforcements immediately leading to an easy 4 turn. Took the Celestial Being route.
Map 5 3/16 Turns 5 SR
Setsuna went North, everyone else East. After a certain number of enemies are killed 2 Genocidrons spawn and move towards Aoi. Used her to lure them towards my main force and took them down with support attacks.
Map 6 5/21 Turns 5 SR
This was an ugly one. I didn't manage to kill the whole first wave by turn 3 EP so I missed the SR but fortunately I managed to get Aoi to 130 Will in time to smack Sergei in the face. I missed killing 4 enemies and Setsuna got shot down after missing a 75% hit on Sergei but fortunately Crowe was there to clean up.
Map 7 4/25 Turns 6 SR
Getter! I forgot that the Damons would flee after all the Invaders were dead so I missed 2 kills but I didn't feel like redoing the map just for that.
Map 8 5/30 Turns 7 SR
The first half of this map is pretty annoying with an unupgraded Alellujah. Even with Focus up and inside Sumeragi's Command Aura he's facing 15% hits from Invaders and 40%+ against Soma. Once the good units show up it's easy cleanup.
Map 9 6/36 Turns 7 SR
Pretty basic map. Took advantage of support attacks from Lockon and Tamaki to take out the stronger Damons. Took Area 11 Route.
Map 10 6/42 Turns 8 SR
Valkyries killing Vajra. Pretty simple.
Map 11 4/46 Turns 9 SR
Missed the 3 turn because the last invader attacked Luca instead of Setsuna like I wanted. Oh well.
Map 12 7/53 Turns 10 SR
I hate Damons. They killed Crowe and Setsuna, costing me a turn.
Map 13 3/56 Turns 10 SR
I'm not sure that it's possible to get the SR point on this map without one of Kallen, Chirico, Zero or Suzaku. You just can't get to the SE enemies fast enough.
Map 14 4/60 Turns 11 SR
None of the enemies move, which makes the SR point pretty annoying to get, especially when the Talos only have 4 range.
Map 15 4/64 Turns 12 SR
Took Covert Route.

Just a minor nitpick:

If you finished stage 4 in 4 turns, there is no way you could get the SR point there since the condition was "Destroy all enemies except Patrick, then defeat Patrick within 3 turns".

Also, pretty sure Treize isn't an enemy in Z2.1. Maybe Zechs?

Also, for Stage, 13, it's doable. NOT easy, but doable.

Edit: Yep, just checked. all but one drafter managed to get the SR point on 13 last draft, and back then I had ALL of Chirico/Kallen/Zero/Suzaku.

Sometimes I forget to write turncounts while I'm playing and have to guess based on the difference between total turn counts from the last map I wrote down and when I remember that I forgot for a map or two. The total turn count will be right at the end of the day since it's displayed. I wish the scenario chart showed turn count by map. And yeah, I meant Zechs. I never saw Wing.

Zul spawned in front of my waiting team, and after an All-Out command from lulu, they crushed his ass. Didn't even need the last support attack due to Kallen landing a 12k+ crit XD.

Good positioning = Easy 2-turn.

Had to sacrifice a few kills, but otherwise easy.

Nothing hard either here. My strong team for this route utterly trivialized the stage.

Barely got the SR point due to sending Getter towards the weaker side instead of the stronger one. They did tank and destroy the entire right side reinforcements and Ryoma almost has his Ace bonus now, which is nice.

Map 18 5/79 Turns 14 SR

All of my units were events except for Dynames, Tamaki and Getter so I didn't have the firepower to get this SR point.

I think a 1 turn might be possible with one more unit with Continuous Action (I have 2 right now.)

I only have Getter and Crowe on this route (and Sayaka but she doesn't count) but Getter is such a wrecking ball it doesn't really matter.

It should be possible to 3 turn this with level 8+ weapons on Crowe since my level 7 left MD with ~1000 HP after attacking and counter attacking on turn 3 but that would mean missing the SR and the Super Repair Kit.
