FE7 Item/staff effects Hardcoded??

Hello guys, i was trying to create a Lockpick with more uses, unlimited was my goal, but i just find out that if give a new item the efect of lockpick using nightmare, it does not work, i tried to change the efect of the normal lockpick for other efect, it keeps doing just lockpick...Are the staff and item efects hardcoded? Just to point out, my item table is reppointed, but i dont think that is the issue...

there are other tables of function pointer for this
For FE7 the effect table starts at 0x802D04C and the conditions table starts at 0x8026D10
so just copy and paste the proper entries
Just a heads up, the tables start at 0x4A and go to 0x9A so if you want to edit an item not in that range, you'll have to repoint those tables

If I figure it out i might even make some nigthmare modules of that, they are quite needed

Do you know where are the pointer table for efects and conditions in FE8?
