Faellin
The game plays out normally until chapter 5. Where Corrin goes full dragon berserk mode after Mikoto explodes, at the end Azura manages to soothe his rage temporarily, but warns Corrin that it can easily happen again in the future. But doesn't conveniently have a dragonstone on hand to fix this problem permanently. So with this, Corrin has to try and keep things under control or risk going berserk again. Basically having to juggle his peaceful mentality while keeping this under control. Giving some extra internal conflict which plays up until the rainbow sage gives Corrin the dragonstone around the halfway point in each path. This could also be used as an interesting chance to expand on Garon and Iago's plan. Where instead of just trying to kill Corrin, they are trying to strategically provoke Corrin in specific ways by harassing his friends and family, so this rage breaks free again so he starts attacking everyone again. And their plan is once Corrin goes full berserk mode, Anankos could easily brainwash him to try and destroy the world with him (That sounds like something he'd try right?) eclipse
Hey, wrong subforum! It helps with Birthright, at least. Corrin would have no reason to go with Nohr in Conquest, unless the rest of his/her backstory was changed ("we kept you in this tower because we've been researching a cure for this. If you went on a rampage in the town proper, we'd have to exile you" or something like that). Revelation makes even less sense, since Corrin's running away from both support networks. It would require a lot of sweet talking from Azura, and that's not in her character.
Armchair General
Let me put it like this: Spoiler Dragonstones have no real reason to exist in Fates. I just see it as IS cashing in on Awakening's manakete craze. Now, the beaststones are justifiable, because there's an pack of werewolves and shit. But it's kind of weird how convenient the dragon rampage is and tha only Corrin can morph into a dragon like that.
