Real females being... Roll? Is this based off of the original (and best) series?

No, Splash Woman.

And it's based off the original, yeah. It has the same 2D graphics, same 2D gameplay, and even has an option to turn on sprite flickering. XD

NO. THE TREND OF ROBOT MASTERS ALL BEING MALES IS BROKEN. I'M FILLED WITH RAGE.

In all seriousness, it looks good.

It is. Despite being ridiculously difficult... The fact that this is the first Megaman game I've played doesn't help any. >_> I've beaten two robot masters and I gotta say the amount of insta-death traps is staggering. ._.

Megaman 1 is only hard in Guts Man's stage, because of those stupid rail platforms in the beginning >.>

I love all the Megamans, the second the most. Since 9 takes after the second so much, it's no surprise I like it so much. It's rather easy though, at most of the parts in the game--the worst I can remember was the level where you have to jump across the chasm with the blinking blocks, the one with the Megaman clones running about. And that was more annoying than hard.

Not a best of the series, but better than some of the games which came out after the second. And being 8-bit, Capcom made some great music as always ~_~

Is this MEGAMAN 9 or Megaman X9? I've only played Megaman 8, but I must enjoy the Megaman X games better. Onl the 2d ones though. 3d is sux

Edit: NVM, i youtubed it. I probably wouldn't buy that :x... I'll stick with Megaman X games.

Tell that to Ice Man's stage.

I don't remember anything hard in his stage >.>

I'm not too much of a fan of the X series. They felt half-finished compared to the original series, like it didn't fully break away and was now mutated. Still, hidden things in various levels were cool.

What about the part where you have to jump onto the flying enemies that're shooting at you? That wasn't hard?

Well, I haven't played a Megaman game before...so that's probably why I consider it hard. I also picked up MM2, but I CAN'T DEFEAT AIRMAN NO MATTER HOW I TRY TO DODGE ALL HIS TORNADOS HE JUST KILLS ME AGAIN.

I love Mega Man games. I've gotta get this. I've also gotta send back that Mega Man Anniversary Collection I got awhile ago. Also, I'd have to agree that the only hard part of Mega Man 1 is the Gutsman stage.

I came here to start a topic but it seems I've been beaten to it.

For those saying it's not hard, "sure thing there buddy." When I say you don't understand the amount of time I've put into Megaman titles throughout my life, I mean you really cannot understand. I own every single Megaman title ever made outside of the stupid semi-RPG wanna-be cardgame GBA titles (Network, I think they were called).

It's a hard game. *shrugs* Just like all old NES titles, really. You die a bunch of times then figure it out and can do it without a problem. (Reminds me of another gaming series we are all probably collective fans of...)

The fact they are making something so old-school they got it right down to the 8-bit graphics and 8-bit midi music fills my heart with the deepest levels of gamer joy. It seriously makes me feel like a little kid back over at my best friend's house when we were 5 or 6, replaying Megaman 2 over and over and over again because it never got dull and filled our heads with the wildest imaginations, laying a groundwork for all things we consider awesome to this very day.

Capcom, I WUB JOO.

He's a joke once you have the Leaf Shield. It just takes four hits with it to kill Airman.

Mega Man games ARE hard. I just find MM1 to be easy aside from Gutsman's stage. Gutsman's stage has taunted me for so very long.

I found Mega Man 1 to be brutal actually. Especially without E-Tanks and passwords.

MegaMan 1 is like StarFox 64, you shouldn't even need saving or passwords it's so short.
