I benched Canas since he is our highst leveled unit and Rebecca because Geitz and Rath were better choices for this chapter. In hindsight I could've given Nino lockpicks and pass them to Jaffar and replace Legault with Rebecca but in the end being able to steal a gem and Angel Robe is more important than being able to use Ballistae. Geitz starts of by baiting the Pegs to the south. Rath, Heath and Fiora take out the Archers with Heath getting a level out of it. Enemy phase level for Geitz. Dart tanks the cavs and gets a crappy level. Heath tanks the Wyvern reinforcementss for a few turns while Fiora gets a level from fighting a sage. *evil laughter* Can't remember what happened. Legault grabs the Gem while I pray that none of my Units get hit by the Berserk Bishop. You may now die. And I forgot that Sonia has Bolting. This is the point when I remembered that Jaffar couls use lockpicks. Then this happened. Heath's asleep and I have only one use of Physic, both lockpick users are stranded in the water and Geitz is traped after murdering endless hordes of wyverns. Several attempts later I gave up and reloaded an earlier save. How often does one get levels by dodging? Don't know if he keeps it though. Level for Geitz. Back to were I was before reloading. Levels Then this happened. Raven killed tons of enemies in the last part of the chapter yet this is his only level up he got. After he ran out of Wyverns he continued with the Pegs. Dart murders the northwestern Archers while carrying Legault and Heath does something. These enemy numbers would be frightening if they weren't so pathetically weak. I swear I didn't give those two special treatment. Eventually the map is almost cleared. Gotta love Longbows. No, you're dead. [spoiler=Chapter 29 (Part Two): Valkyries Everywhere! :(] In case you're wondering why the image quality deteriorated, that's because imgur was being mean to me today. I position my units up north in a way that the valkyrie's attack options are limited, but it'll definitely go for Raven. Meanwhile the two most tanky RES units tackle all the mages down south. This image sums up half the chapter (the 4 same units up north risking heavy damage) Rath risks the damage, and I believe the valkyrie misses. Success Oh boy Die! 100 PERCENT ACCURACY ARE YOU KIDDING ME Foolish Valkyries -- your status staves have no effect on me! Canas turns a 2HKO to a OHKO :) More slaughter I start to bring the two halves of my army together Lucius is silenced, but I use a little bit of staff combos to return the army to top condition More fighting forces another turn of healing Not quite far enough The hammer and the anvil kinda close in on my army. This ought to be fun. Mounts vs Mounts I realize I left Hector and a few others down south, and use Merlinus as bait to let them escape. :< Who needs strategy when you have Canas and Dart? (nothing interesting happens here, just a few kills so I skip a bit) Fiora! Do a barrel roll! But seriously, that's some impressive aerial maneuvers. After Rath died, I changed my strategy down south and moved Merlinus up sooner and just left the ax users at the bottom to clean up the wyverns. Flying animations are just odd looking in screenshots rip another level for fiora Canas cleans up some of the minions Let it be known that I tried to give Heath the kill But it wasn't meant to be ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Chapter 30 tomorrow! Le Team Le Formation The bottom group moves towards the west to meet up with the main group, Raven and Legault move towards the south to take out the myrms and grab the treasure everyone else moves to the west. Eliwood grabs a knight to ensure we get the Gaiden chapter and Lyn sits on a pillar in case I need a decoy later on. The shamans couldn't hurt him and Canas makes sure it stays that way. crap not crap Everyone flees to the north and Rath awakens. Priscilla meanwhile murders the enemy hordes. She also got a level but I missed it. Heath gets almost killed and gains everything he needs to survive. Fiora gains a level, Priscilla on the other hand gets jealous and kills Heath. on the second attempt Rath gets a better level instead. stuff Lyn takes up her position as Sniper bait, she gets ignored though. Hector you really need to get other stats. Hammer time Battle of the Bows (and Lyn). Rath demonstrates why Archers suck. not bad more stuff Why the fuck is a book heavier than a Steel Blade? Not now Denning dead Everything is under control now. Rath kills the last Sniper while Merlinus and Lyn deliver an Elixir to Rebecca. meh Muhahaha Everyone aside the Eclipse Druids is dead now. Might as well have them support. This time I make sure she gets the Body Ring. done no Chapter 31x I've sold all gems and promotion Items and bought around 60 Silver, Killer and Reaver Weapons. Legault comes along because SOMEONE neglected to buy chest keys, and someone else will probably scream at me if I don't get the fortify at the very least. Note the lack of healers. This kind of comes back to bite me in the butt later. Lyn cares not for you ~40 hit rates. Everyone else heads north, with Eliwood luring out the swordslayer berserker. ...which, despite the odds, hits him anyway. Sigh. Gotta wake up earlier than that to hit Lyn! His comrade thinks he can do better, and, well, doesn't. Savestate here, because those are nice levels. Hector...not dodging. But getting good levels! But still not dodging. New idea! Eliwood uses an elixir and tanks the choke, with Hector providing support. This time he manages to dodge, getting an ok level. Oh my god they just won't stop! Speed is excellent, cause he needs it. Fun fact: Hector has higher speed at this point. Is this a strength-blessed Lyn, or is it just me? Either way, not complaining. [complaining begins] I love it when enemies with killer weapons get critted with low chances. And...even more strength! She's 4/4 this chapter. Not rigged, I swear. [complaining intensifies] OH, COME ON! Note: I have been using savestates for this very reason. I think I went 2 turns back, and Lyn got the same level as last time. Eliwood-Hector A support. Has strength. I think that's the last of the swordslayer guys, as well. Did some nifty rescue-dropping with Heath and Legault to put Lyn in a position to be attacked by a tomahawk guy. ...who actually hits, this time. Also, 5/5 for strength. Lyn heals up, and Heath takes a turn at the choke. Levels, some of them better than others. Hector still has more speed than Eliwood. What's wrong with this world? This was on EP. I savestate, because this is just asking for rng abuse. Heath is great. I love Heath. He doesn't keep this. I just knew this was gonna happen. I knew it! Heath gets the same level, while Eliwood burns some rns, getting a better level... ...and more importantly, avoiding that crit. HOW DO YOU LIKE IT NOW, EH?! Ok. And he does it again! Yay, ew, and EW! The stream of reinforcements has halted, so now I dare move up a bit. A brief roadblock nets our heroes some more levels. LynxHector C support. Eliwood gets an amazing and meh level, respectively, althought he finally overtakes Hector's speed. Legault finally pulls his weight. Oh...I actually forgot about these reinforcements... Never mind, more xp for me! Not much of it, though. Eventually, even these reinforcements peter out. Some time later, Lyn gets to finish off Kishuna. Onwards to Light!
