  1. In FE4 attacks are never completely negated, they always deal at least one damage, so by sheer volume of attacks it could be done.
  2. The one method without holy weapons I know works for sure is using berserk on whichever warlord has the Hel tome. FE4 AI makes it so he attacks Julius, reducing him to 1 hp, so anything can finish him off. Of course, the chance of that happening is ridiculously low barring RNG manipulation. The biggest problem with killing Julius without holy weapons is that he has wrath, so units without awareness would be slaughtered when he went under half health. I think that due to how Lopt reduces stats, any unit would only deal one damage. In terms of bringing Julius down, you could give the sword twins hero swords (they inherit awareness from Aira), Celice could use the hero lance, via pairing Aideen with Alec both Lester and Lana would have awareness, so that would be a hero bow and a tome attack. Julia can also chip since she has awareness too. Altogether, including the counter attack on enemy phase, that would be 24 damage a turn, 14 of which would be healed by Julius, so it would be doable, just take a while and require a lot of healing. With good dancer + rescue staff use you could probably get in even more damage per turn, but I can't be bothered to work out the optimal way to do that.
  3. A lot of the powerful/holy weapon using bosses become much easier if you stack Celice, Delmud, and Nanna near the unit attacking them. The massive boost to hit/avoid will make the fights a lot faster and a lot less frustrating.
  4. The second generation is about as easy, though a few of the bosses might catch you off guard on your first playthrough. There are a few holy weapon using bosses that will charge your army and are capable of completely destroying non holy weapon users if you aren't prepared for them, but besides that your children will have such good skills/stats that anything else will pose almost no challenge. All of your pairings are good as well. Though there are other options if you want to change up the roles of different units in your army, with these pairings all children will be easy to train and useful.
  5. Roddlevan Hero Weapon: +3 might iron sword HP+ Res- Skills: Armsthrift Vantage +2 skill +2 speed +5 HP
  6. Unfortunately on 0% growths that doesn't really work, Arion can one shot anyone in the army on the way, and celice is so pitiful you can't really get him promoted for the extra movement to charge past without suffering an enemy phase. The same rom and emulator has gotten past that point before, so if I replay the second generation it should probably work. Thanks for the advice though.
  7. Right after it says prayer ring obtained and the camera pans in preparation for Julius coming the game crashes.
  8. I'm working on an ltc run of fe4, but am currently stuck on chapter 9 due to an annoying glitch. Whenever I kill Arion, the game just screws up and turns into a black screen. The game is patched into english and set to 0% growths, but I doubt either of those would crash the game like that and I have managed to kill arion successfully and without the game crashing with the same edits before. Has anyone else experienced a similar glitch during chapter 9, or have any idea what might be causing it?
  9. I've been dabbling in some Fire Emblem Four hacking, but have had trouble with using the FE4 map program to insert a custom map. Whenever I insert a map to take the place of the prologue's normal map, instead of the modified map appearing there's just a mess of random tiles and the game crashes shortly afterwards. Before inserting my map, I did use encofe4 to compress the map file, which was saved as .bin originally. These are the settings I had on the insert menu. I'm guessing that my issue has to do with these, since I couldn't find documentation anywhere regarding what each field meant. Also, in terms of original size and the other size, I"m not sure why they're different because all I did was take the prologue map and change a few blocks around. I'd be very thankful if someone could explain to me what the fields in the insertion window mean and why the map insertion failed. Thanks in advance.
