  1. You're making a reference to something I don't know anything about, and replay value and how many people use it has nothing to do with the point I'm making. I'm only talking about how much money they make from it, which is entirely based on how many people will buy Awakening fully or partially because of lunatic+. If it had huge popularity and made a lot of people want it in the next one, that would be different. To be honest, they could do better things with more appeal with the time they spent on lunatic+, even if it wasn't a lot of time.

I actually think Lunatic+ makes them more money than the other difficulties because people will buy dlc to grind and make it easier.

  2. FE6 never played

FE7 Hated Lyn's mode but otherwise solid game

FE8 Liked a lot of the characters in this game but meh otherwise

FE9 My favorite in the series in terms of story and characters but I hated the approach to the skill system, biorhythm, and Laguz units

FE10 Loved how much better the gameplay was but I hated how part 4 was handled storywise.

  3. There are also other incidents in FE9 that seem to highlight Ike's flaws having a lack of consequences.

Helping the Talrega citizens is the 'right' thing to do, but not necessarily tactically sound. There are no ramifications for stopping to help them, so Ike gets to be moral without seeming ineffective.

Saving Geoffrey in accordance with Elincia's wishes and against Lucia and Bastian's also has no ramifications for Ike. It just serves to make Lucia and Bastian look stupid, when they are supposedly very intelligent. This situation would have made more sense in the reverse, with Lucia and Bastian making irrational decisions because they care a lot about Geoffrey. Again, Ike gets to be both moral and a great leader because the game sets it up to be that way.

I fail to see how either of those example deal with Ike's flaws. Both of those are examples of Ike being who he is. I agree Ike's flaws don't have consequences but those seem like poor examples.
