I think you just happened to be pressing L when the battle animation starts. That's a shortcut key for temporary switching battle animation for the current battle.
That is indeed what happened. I tested it out just now. Thanks for clearing that up. ^_^

They don't, that's the thing. In skirmishes, they don't force you to see the boss, and I don't think it was a boss, either.

When all of a sudden, one battle goes straight to the battle scene. That's really weird. Not sure if that's just a random happenstance that happens on the digital copy, but it was really wierd.

I hardly ever NOT pair up my characters. I just enjoy it too much. Maybe it's a security blanket for me, but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have an EXTREMELY hard time playing any other FE game because they lack this feature. Yeah, I suppose it does make the game a little too easy, but it is SO much fun, I swear.

If you look at the 3D models for the characters, their feet are not very defined, and thus it looks as if the characters have no feet on their models at all. The feet don't appear to stick out at all.

I keep thinking of so many things I'd change. :\
Goal variety. I mean, jeez, most of what I think this game is is "Defeat the Commander" and "Rout the Enemy". Give us some seize, or some "Protect (character) for (x) amount of turns."

Remember when forging a weapon restored its uses? I kinda wish you could do that again.

Nerf Pair Up or remove buyable Nosferatu
Thought of something along the lines of this, at least...why not have enemies Pair Up? That would be kinda cool. It'd certainly make battles epic a heck of a lot more epic than they already were.
[spoiler=Not that far along yet, but...]For example, for the battle against Validar, if he fights together with Grima in the Avatar's body, have them Pair Up.

This is silly and would probably break the game even more, but...Arena Ferox? Yeah, make it so that after you beat chapter four, it functions like a regular arena from Fire Emblem. Yeah, I know, I already said it would be broken, but it would make pre-Entombed Heaven and the riches DLC's much less time-consuming on you.

Henry TERRIFIES me. I don't know what it is, but that guy just frightens me on so many levels. You'd think Tharja would frighten or unnerve me, but no, only time she ever creeped me out is when she tried to be "normal".

I'm sure some people, myself included, might opt for an Ylissian royal family themed team. Chrom, Lucina, Emmeryn, Lissa, Owain...and anyone else that marries into this family, no doubt, like Avatar and Morgan, or whatnot.

I had fun with Chrom's and Ehrgeiz(Avatar)'s supports. Just because they were funny. Mostly by thoroughly embarrassing each other. They're married now. =D

I caved in when GameStop told me they wouldn't get it until Friday. I bought the download code. I don't really regret it 'cuz now I have this game.

I'll probably take a short break for a while though once Mirror of Fate comes out, cuz I intend to play that, too. But I have a month to do a shit-ton of gameplay (While I look for a job). But, yeah. A lot. -
So...supposedly...the two GameStops that I can feasibly access at a reasonable time have told me that their shipment is coming in today and that they will be selling tomorrow. This gives me some hope, but it doesn't stop me from being upset.

I'm going stark-raving crackers. I really do not want to wait for this game to come out, I really, really don't. Considering the game is SUPPOSED to be released TODAY, not to mention I do not have enough to get it on eShop, nor do I really have a way to GET the rest that I need onto eShop even if I could...'cuz I pretty much have the exact amount, but really only in cash(and GameStop's store credit). I want this game badly, seriously. I really, really do. I do not want to be visiting this store like every day of the week if they continue not to know.

There really isn't any point to having an Iote's shield in-game when there already is the Iote's Shield skill available in DLC. Now, if there was at least one copy of the skill itself in-game, then that would be more understandable.
I guess another thing for me is maybe replacing Chrom's support with Olivia with someone else that comes in earlier. I mean...I dunno. I haven't read it yet, but it seems really bad that he would be able to support and marry someone that comes in SO late and immediately before the timeskip compared to the rest of your female units. I mean, you can't even read a support with her before he marries her if you go that route, I think.
Speaking of Olivia...can you even get her support conversations at all after Chrom marries her? Or are they just unlocked automatically after Chrom gets hitched with her?
