  1. Ah, well, he had a moment (even cried), but after what came next I totally did not care in the least. Saddest part of the manga for me tbh. Yeah, the project was dead for three years. We just picked it up and started working on it, and our first release was near the end of August. Your timing is impeccable at the least. :3 I also went back to reread it all recently and wow. I can't believe gen 1 is really almost over. Gonna miss these guys. I remember when I first found this manga, how immersed in it I was. It keeps very closely to canon in gen 1 with its own spin, and I couldn't stop reading when I found it. I hope you enjoy the rest of the manga just as thoroughly. :3 Yup yup. Volume nine isn't about to go easy on you with those double spreads, and most things from here on are action scenes until gen 2. As for Manfloy, he still does have a legitimate reason to be how he is. His motivation is not simply "I want power/to take over everything". He wants revenge for how himself and his people were treated just because of their heritage. Of course, he leads the Lopt Sect, and THOSE guys are definitely not redeemable. It's one thing to want revenge for the people who were mistreated who didn't deserve it based on their blood (exactly why he had Alvis on strings), but the Lopt Sect is a lot more into the idea of "revive Loptous and destroy them all". They're going at this with two wrongs, with the idea of "you did it first so we're gonna do it too". Obviously that did not help their image and Manfloy actually made things a lot worse in terms of people's views on the Lopt Sect and those with Lopt blood. Manfloy's initial motivation is understandable and relatable, but there's a point where what he's doing is not okay anymore. He's not like Shagaal who just wanted to rule everything and was a blatant asshole. Manfloy is also very intelligent and the mastermind behind everything, so he definitely has what it takes to be the villain he is. He's an extremely well written villain both in canon and in the manga. The fact that Alvis had to hide the fact that he had Lopt blood or he would be condemned just further proves that Manfloy's revenge is not unwarranted. Unfortunately Manfloy had long gone off the deep end here, so he used that to his advantage and had Alvis do tons of horrible things and also take the fall for them. The people who were involved in hunts for people with Lopt blood were not right, and Manfloy was initially... but by the point of the story's time, he's leading a group that just wants destruction and a world for only their people; not just to destroy the people who destroyed them. The manga shows a total change in attitude between Manfloy and Alvis, and Manfloy and Yurius. To him, Yurius is the god who is going to save them. Alvis was too deep in his thinking with his Fala blood, so he had no care for Alvis. Of course, when you think of the people who follow the religion for Loptous, that's another story versus their blood. Loptous is just out to destroy things and have fun doing so. Supporting a god that just wants to destroy isn't a good impression. That is where the Lopt Sect falls. Then you have people, like Alvis, who have the blood but don't care for Loptous. Stuff about him will start coming up in volume nine. I think she tried to make us feel sorry for him, and under another circumstance I might've looked at it like I did with Reptor, but it was a bit too late for that. :'D Don't worry; we're not trying to make you LIKE him! I hate the guy too, but he at least started out with understandable reasons for what he does now. He's not really the reason other villains were jerks though. Shagaal was always an asshole, but Manfloy jumped in and gave him motivation to act. Basically in this case the blame falls to both of them, but Shagaal was all interested in the fact that he could do awful things. Meaning, the thoughts were always in his head, but now he finally had a way to act on his desires. Then you have the instance with King Batou, where he sent Sandima in, but ultimately it was his plan, and they manipulated an innocent person to start a war. From the very beginning to the very end, all the wars that broke out the way they did were because of the influence of the Lopt Sect. Only Manster and Thracia already had serious issues, but the way things happened during the storyline were influenced by manipulation. Example, Blume took over Manster for the Empire to have possession over it when Thracia was about to annex it. The Empire, at that time, was under the Lopt Sect's control, and if you go by FE5's storyline, it was also ruled by a member of that group until Leaf did away with him. Ultimately though, yes, Manfloy caused everything we see in the storyline. Agreed! I love how she writes about warfare. It's very detailed and she even writes a lot of war meetings to explain things. Her writing is very easy to follow but easy to get you wrapped up in, and that was what drew me into this manga in the first place, as well as her very well written characters.
  2. That was quite literally her point. That at least we're not taking years between our updates. There was a three or so year wait until updates started again and we are entirely aware of that. If people waited that long, there is no harm in waiting a few weeks for an update. We've really been trying to be polite here, but in some cases, it's getting kind of hard. I guess it depends on how you handle emotional things in manga, but I'd say the rest of gen 1 is pretty emotional. Oosawa definitely went out of her way to make villains sympathetic save for a few (like Sandima and Shagaal), but really, the Battle of Barhara manga-wise wasn't just black and white morality like Sandima and Shagaal were. I can definitely say I don't feel bad in the slightest for game Reptor, but manga Reptor, yeah, I'll admit it was a bit sad. On the fence with Langbart because of reasons. :l Also, Lex fans can rejoice because he takes up most of volume seven.
  3. Thank you! Thanks! Imo what we're doing is better than nothing at all which is why I see no need for people to be constantly asking for updates. We're happy to be doing this, and it's also fun for us as well as you guys, but we aren't going to be working on the manga every day of our lives. Some future chapters may come out quicker than others, but that's because some chapters are only going to be around 21 pages versus the times we take longer to work on some 40 or so pages. Working on 40 or so pages does take a while, and I appreciate when you guys understand that. Haha, maybe~. I was sure someone would sooner or later. You see the result of it - him turned into ashes and Tyrfing on the ground - but the death isn't shown. Tbh there are a lot of the gen 1 deaths we never see and a handful we do see. --And JUST as I am saying 40 pages takes longer one of our cleaners busts in saying 40 page chapters are difficult. c':
  4. ^ Accurate and thank you. Plus I'd post a new post unless I was the last poster, in which I'd just ask ChildofDain or Faiaaouji to poke at the thread for the update so it's not just in an edited post where nobody will actually see that the thread updated. I don't believe I should have to say this, nor again, but we are not going to give constant updates. We are working on it. We are not doing weekly releases, so please don't ask us for updates just because some two weeks or so has passed (and there is no way in hell we'll be able to release chapters that fast. Seriously. Some of us are genuinely busy). That is the same as rushing us and that really makes us lose motivation. We don't have a set schedule. It is worked on when it can be worked on. From here on out, I am no longer repeating this and questions about updates will not be answered. We have said this several times now and for some reason are still being asked for updates. We are not going to give every tiny detail and step of what we're doing. If the chapter was done, it would be up already. We are working on it. Appreciation to all of you who have been patient and understanding; especially those of you who have asked others for patience. And for Holsety's sake, I am not in any rush to finish off gen 1. Maybe spoiler below kind of not entirely: And for the record, no, we don't see Sigurd get burned. It's entirely off panel. We get something else even more suffering instead. Meanwhile the realization has hit me that we have fifteen chapters left until reset. Gonna have to milk these last gen 1 chapters for all the pain they're worth.
  5. Sigurd needs a lot of hugs after all the shit he goes through tbh. Manfloy the Manflayed, yes. I considered feeling bad for him, but then volume nine happened.
  6. Chapter 39 is up! I listed Damosel first for cleaners in the credits this time since she started working on the first half, so when you see names flipflopping in the credits page, such reasons are why. Manfloy was a unanimous agreement over Manfroy, so we went with Manfloy. Sometimes we do all agree on using the popular fan translation names (specifically the understandable spellings from the viewpoint of a translator/someone familiar with Japanese) from the patch, but most of the time you'll probably be seeing the actual romaji spellings (such as Adean over Aideen, despite us in the team mostly (and most of us) seeming preferable to Aideen). Levin, like Manfloy, is a popular translation choice (and a very prominent one), so we went with that... but his name is quite clearly written as Levn in volume 11, as it is on his official romaji, so I'll be leaving a note about that when we reach that point. This chapter is mostly Alvis and farewells to Silesia. The next chapter starts the Battle of Barhara, and is basically the prelude to the first fight, which is between Brigid and Andre, as well as Sigurd meeting with Byron. The cleaning process is already started, so we've got a head start at least this time!
  7. Considering my monitor died on me just after 38 was released as mentioned (finally got another), we've made no progress since then besides the half cleaned chapter Damosel did a while ago. ChildofDain has been rather busy and I don't know how her half is coming along but please don't pressure her. Again, as mentioned in the old thread, ChildofDain works a full time job, five days a week. She is busy and not always up for cleaning on the weekends. We can't always give updates, so if we're not, there's probably a reason for it. It's only been about a week since our initial release, so please be patient with us.
  8. We'll officially be in the Battle of Barhara as of chapter 40, and for about the span of three volumes (rest of six, all of seven/eight, and half of nine). This manga really does great at making me feel bad for characters I totally don't want to feel bad for. Gonna be a long road though.
  9. My monitor is basically blinking miserably to the point of no return thanks to Trabant killing it for being on my screen so much. I have very minor access to this site through my 3DS, so I can keep up on new posts, but that's about it. I am typing this on my computer with my monitor going crazy. Meanwhile I'm just blasting FE4 music with my monitor off. This has delayed my typesetting for Alvis. Trabant will be paying in blood for my new monitor . :l Meanwhile this insane blinking is making ME go insane, so... back to my 3DS internet. OTL I will start typesetting chapter 39 once I have a new monitor. I don't know for sure how long it'll be, but it could end up being anywhere from a day to like a week or more. sO UNFORGIVABLE, tRABANT... dELAYING MY TIME WITH aLVIS... Edit: Okay that last sentence was not supposed to come out looking like Loptous possessed me but that's what happens when you have a monitor that's not going to make it.
  10. I checked the page that leads to the download link and there are multiple downloads available; not all of which are the chapter. It's likely you just misclicked or misread. I can't guarantee what you tried to download is a problem, but it's still very possible your anti-virus is warning you because of the features of the site, as I mentioned before. Hopefully it works regardless for you in the end. All you should end up with is the .rar zip file if you download the right thing. A married girl with two children. Oh come on, you've played the game. It'd only be spoiling if I told you how. :) @ Your edit: I'm actually about to go sleep since I spent like idk ten hours (not exaggerating) fixing everything up and finishing stuff and running around like a maniac with faiaaouji, so I'll put that stuff in later. As far as the rar files go, that's fine. What I meant by I didn't know what to suggest to the other user was about their anti virus, more specifically, which I don't have. As in, if they were actually getting a warning about the rar file, well... I can't do much there. If it was indeed a misclick/misread/wrong download, then case solved. Hopefully.
  11. Well, firstly, I don't exactly trust Norton. Secondly, my Google Chrome browser tells me that a lot. There's really nothing I can suggest to you though. If it's saying it's "not sure", that's not a definite "there is something bad in this". Again, I have GC do that to me all the time, and on stuff people have otherwise downloaded safely. The site used to host our chapters has file sharing, meaning things could be dangerous but are not necessarily, and that's probably why the warning is showing up. A lot of times you'll see warnings about file sharing sites... but there's also what Elder said. But yeah, if you don't wanna download it, that's up to you. I can't really make any suggestions here. Ethlin is... being way too nice and ignoring Trabant's friendly "you'll regret it". Girl, you say "Even so" now, but that's not what you'll be saying in volume seven...
  12. Continuation of the FE4 manga will be on this thread, but please refer to the other FE4 manga thread for Holsety Scans' work for the first five volumes and first two chapters of volume six. Holsety Scans and Fala Scans are composed entirely of different people, and we therefore take no credit for the work they put into their scans/translations. All credit for their contributions goes strictly to them (I've had confusion in the past where we mistaken for also being the old team by people new to the manga). Chapters hosted on Mega. ~ Current situation as of 1/1/2023: Background progress. The remaining chapters might not be posted one at a time or over a period of time. Most likely, they will be put up in groups now. There are a few reasons for this, but our translator has actually finished everything through volume fifteen. We'll roll out chapters later on. This project is still in progress! The translation has been being worked on for a while now! We've gone through our share of long delays for releases for numerous reasons over the years and we've been backed up with cleaning, but currently the translation is going smoothly and we're in volume fourteen for translation! I know it's been literal years since we started this and we've had horribly erratic activity since we stopped being able to update monthly. It's been in the works, just quietly behind the scenes for a while. I appreciate everyone's patience more than I've felt I was able to say (especially because I've been insisting the project hasn't been dropped for goddamn years and we've essentially had nothing to show for it, hence this update to assure y'all it's still in existence and not in some otherworldly, other dimensional plane of existence). I'm currently in talks with a couple of people regarding additions to this project (avoiding specifying particulars at the moment in case we don't go through with it, but I'm hoping to expand in a sense, basically), so if there's any fruit to those I will post about those when they're confirmed! Quality updates are as before still held off until we get some newer releases up. Basically that's when I go back and edit small sections for cleaning or typesetting to make it look better and try to keep it more up to date with our current style/progress as a team. This was our very first project, so I prefer to edit some of our older work where possible to make it look better (unfortunately we're not redoing everything, so some of the oldest stuff from us is still gonna be meh... like some of volume six). That's basically our lowest priority right now. Thank youuuu so much for sticking around and letting the team know you've appreciated our work! 🙇‍♀️ ~ Note: Chapter 66 is currently unavailable. It will be re-added soon. To clarify what happened, because I had not been able to get onto the Mega account that held these files for an extended period of time, the data on the account was deleted by the website. I had these chapters on my old desktop's hard drive and I'm not sure I'll be able to manually pull those off the hard drive at this time. This may also mean in the future that another means of hosting these chapters will be necessary, as Mega will eventually delete the data on the account if I stop logging in for an extended period of time. Someday I may have reason to stop logging into the account, such as all our active projects being completed or the team being on break once the major projects are completed, and the account will be deemed inactive. I will try to eventually find another solution, but Mega is still fine at this time. When things change if they do, I'll let you guys know. ~ Note: If there is not an update date beside the chapter, it has not undergone thorough changes since the date it was released or since the dates listed in the bulk updates section. They may still be updated at a later time even if they don't have a date beside them yet. These updates are for a variety of things such as to fix the color levels, to fix the typesetting, page rotation, if there's been any translation change (which can range from something as small as an sfx to a major change, but any major changes will be noted in a new post), etc. This being the team's first collective major project, we've changed how we manage levels, typesetting, etc since we began. To keep the older chapters as up to date as possible, I eventually go through and edit them. We will not redo entire chapters, so some will still have a different look to them (such as chapter 38 - since it was our very first release, we weren't set on our styles yet but it would require redoing it over from scratch to really fix it now), but I will update them as best I can. Volume 7 and onward have not received their quality updates. This will happen at a later date. Volume six: Volume seven: Volume eight: Volume nine: Volume ten: Volume eleven: Volume twelve: Chapter 68 (Updated 10/10/2021) Chapter 69 Chapter 70 ~ JD's edits: NOTE: Some of these changes may or may not be gone due to an incident regarding Mega (as explained above). This means it's possible the versions I have available at this time uploaded here (as I cannot currently access the files on my old desktop - I'm not sure if this will change, but I still have the hard drive in case I work something out) are not the final versions. Please inform me if chapters are missing any pages! Text positioning/size and minor grammar error edits were done to volume six on 12/21/15. Major edits done for volumes six through nine (chapter 53) on 9/2/2016. Chapters 38-40 edited (date unknown). Major leveling and typesetting edits will be done to all volumes where needed later on. ~ Other information: Current team members are: Jugdral Defender (scanner, cleaner, typesetter), ChildofDain (cleaner/redrawer), kitsudori (cleaner/redrawer), PatMagroyn (cleaner/redrawer), S3RAPH (cleaner/redrawer), and LeifOfLeonsterTranslations (translator). Please note we are always accepting new cleaners! You'll probably notice some blurry edge lines. That's because I did not (and will not) debind my books. We do our best to make it look nice without working with separated pages. Volumes one through six are also very thick volumes, so spine blurs will not be quite so defined as of volume seven and onward. Lastly, please feel free to notify us of any errors (typos, possible missed words, etc.). We'll fix them as soon as possible after hearing about them. Enjoy your share of FE4 pain and all the pain to come!
  13. Oh, was that it? Well, thanks for the consideration then! I did actually give an update fairly recently as to our position, so... there's no other updates beyond that I can give except releasing the chapter, honestly. Thanks a ton for that, though. It'd be less frustrating if people didn't constantly ask the same questions that have been answered multiple times within a few pages alone (and asking for updates so quickly after the last one... We've been giving updates for the past few topic pages, so... I genuinely don't know what more people are looking for). I understand it's nice actually knowing who is working on the project and being able to communicate with them, but there's really only so many updates I can give per chapter. All of us to my knowledge do have at least minor experience in our respective parts of this team, so we all understand the kind of effort needed to manage a project like this (plus some of these chapters are like 40-ish pages). We don't want to seem, I don't know, uptight, I guess,(?) being a new team for this, but there's really only so much we can say before we just start having to ignore repetitive things.
  14. LOOK WOMAN. I LIKE ARION JUST FINE, ISN'T THAT ENOUGH. DON'T BE PICKY. But like Thracia Woman here said, it's been a lot of trial and error basically. I'd rather do all that first and get through it and take forever releasing the first chapter from this group rather than continue doing trial and error for like ten chapters and giving out snail releases until we're all good. At least we know once we get the first chapter from our team out (which should be rather soon, finally. Soon as in I'm really hoping for and aiming for next week at the latest), we'll be basically set to release normally without having to go "oh shit how do I do this on this program" in the middle of a chapter later on. That's just how we seem to be better handle things, so the long wait in the beginning imo is worth it in the long run. And this is gonna be... a long run, considering we have ten volumes to work on, and hell if we work on FE5's manga sometime afterward. Both myself and ChildofDain own the FE5 manga, so... it'll probably happen. Plus Arion's in that manga and Thracia Woman here is head over heels for, well, Thracia. Meanwhile there's so much Sety in part of that manga that why WOULDN'T I want to scan all that. Fun fun. - ChildofDain, if you ever happen to have to redraw any Sety panels... you better... make them look perfect... and make him beautiful... or just never sleep ever again lest I find you. OUO! Stop blaming Cuan for your problems. It's obviously Trabant's fault for everything. Everything is his fault at all times unless it was Manfloy's fault. DON'T CALL ETHLIN WAIFU AFTER COMPLAINING ABOUT CUAN YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN MY PRESENCE ANYMORE, I SAY AS I CLICK SKYPE BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S FLASHING YELLOW BECAUSE OF YOU. Guys, these are the kind of people in the new team. That's it, this is us. I'm sorry. On one side you'll hear someone yelling for bloody Thracians and the other one will be screaming about cold Silesians. Those were intended puns. It took a lot of effort to write lest and not Lester anyway.
  15. Ardan IS in the manga. He just didn't get much panel time. At all. Holyn and Beowulf were entirely cut because they're the author's least favorites, and it was probably going to be a pain in the ass if she had to add two more love triangles onto the already obvious one with Levin. Plus I wouldn't wanna write for characters I don't like either, so can't really blame her there. I like Holyn, but yeah... More love triangles would just get exhausting. I feel like this man is our spokesperson who unfortunately has to repeat himself. A lot. Unless a mod deleted your reply, which I highly doubt there would've been a reason for that, it probably just didn't go through. Your connection might've just flopped when you posted. Idk. I haven't been around to see if you had another post recently. Tbh it's every time I look at this thread to see if there's a new post that there's nothing, and then I look away for a couple days and suddenly discussion. Luck stat -3.
  16. Cleaners are working on chapter 39, translator is working on volume seven (completed six; she's way ahead of us), and the typesetters are working on the coming chapter. Unfortunately I realized that because I and the other typesetter were using two different programs to typeset, one of us had to switch the program we were using because the final versions looked too different, and I had done more work than her up to that point, so I had to redo everything I'd gotten done to that point (her final versions looked better, so we went with her program). Again, this chapter's release is wicked slow because we're just settling in, deciding what programs to use, how we're going about things for the rest of the manga so we don't have to do all this later, etc. Silence on our part doesn't mean we're vanishing and dropping the project. :) I have too many feelings about this manga to drop it. >.>; Hopefully once we get chapter 38 out, it'll pick up from there! The good news is that our translator had way too much fun translating horse noises because of Andre's Beige Ritter. Also Midir is a total badass. Now if only he could be like that in the game.
  17. Volume six will not be finished for a little while. As of now, we're still getting things together and figuring out exactly what we want to do, where everything's going, and just getting organized. It's more than just working on the next chapter alone right now. As ChildofDain said, we'll probably pick up the speed later on. Volume six is also a very large volume and will take much more time overall than the following volumes. I will say this again: We are not worrying about speed. We are choosing quality over speed. More along the idea of "let's do this the best we can the first time so we don't have to go back later after releasing chapters/volumes and fix tons of things". Please stop asking us to move quickly or implying it. This project isn't meant to get stressful and will not be rushed. I want to get this done just as quickly as everyone wants to see it, and all of us are looking forward to the results of each finished chapter. Still not gonna rush it. We're not trying to sound rude, but it does get frustrating when you're constantly and/or repeatedly asked to hurry. I'm willing to nyoom through volume fourteen scanning and typesetting. That's ages off from now, though. Meanwhile, our translator is having a hell of a time translating horse noises. Seriously. Elder, you're a shining ray of light in the darkness of Jugdral. I was mostly referring to the fact that Ethlin refused him and Arion is an illegitimate child, so Trabant is forever alone. :P Then there's Cuan, with such a wonderful wife and two adorable children and the greatest of friends...
  18. Next chapter, more like, Trabant can't get a date. If only he'd met ChildofDain. Brigid/Dew, yes, but it's maybe fifty/fifty between him and Midir. I'd say there's actually way more development on Brigid/Midir and more development for Dew as a character. Being honest here, Brigid/Midir looked like it was going to happen way more than Brigid/Dew. I guess the author couldn't make up her mind right away but wanted to go with the idea of a pirate/thief thing in the end? Especially since for story purposes, that would explain in part why Patty decided to be a thief to support the orphans. Tiltyu/Azel is ALL over the place in volume eight, so it gets tons of panel time. It pretty much takes up the majority of the volume. Not just the pairing alone, but the Battle of Barhara in general was going on and many of the characters we know in the army got separated, so they were on their own together for a while. There's a lot of Freege and Velthomer family stuff going on during all of it. Sylvia/Claude gets development literally on the very first pages of the new chapter and continues on again later. There's not much at all compared to the other pairings that happened prior (it really feels like the panel time for this pair was given a huge backseat), but it's definitely there.
  19. I have the original set printed in 1999-2001. Sixteen volumes; not the other version with eleven volumes. As above, I've already finished scanning volume six. The delay is just that there's only so much we can do at once, and everyone is really giving their best to make everything look good and neat (i.e. taking more time to make it look good rather than speeding up to get it out faster). Volume seven won't be tough to scan since from seven and onward all the books are literally about half the size of the first six; but thanks for the good luck. Tbh a translator was the last thing we got (and I imagine most people understand this is a long manga and would take commitment, so...). We didn't have one until I told a friend about the manga and told her the online scans stopped early, but that she'd be able to continue soon once I found a translator since I have all the manga and that we planned to get it up. It was right then that was she basically like "Oh, I can translate!", so it turns out I wound up with one of my online friends translating, totally on accident. Otherwise I was left to go on a search for someone, so... that's pretty much the story of my luck stat being maxed that day. As far as updates go, pretty sure I'm just gonna go with TravelingElder's suggestion and make a new thread where I can link all the chapter downloads as we get more stuff out so it's easy to update and keep everyone up to date with. I'll get around to that once we complete the next chapter so we have something to put up there when I make the thread.
  20. Your Photoshop skills are crucial here, shhh. Here I'd just be using MS Paint and we do not want that lol. Update on the manga though: First part scanned. Cleaner and translator are working on it! We're considering putting up a few preview pages every now and then. We've all been waiting on this for a while, so... I'm sure people wanna see whatever they can see before we're done with each section. Once we're totally set on where the manga is going, I'll update here to let you guys know. Should I just make a new thread, honestly? I wasn't sure if I was going to, and we're going to be discussing where we're putting the manga (making a website with all the volumes on it, DropBox, Tumblr page, etc.). I'll still update whenever new chapters come out (here or on a new thread if that's how things go). Rest easy, friends! There's lots and lots of pain on the way!
  21. Can we please count Sety/Ishtar as a pairing before I go insane because the manga made it so legit and my feelings crashed I appreciate everyone's appreciation tbh. If you guys weren't around for all your interest in the manga, I'd probably be a lot less motivated. I mean, I would've bought the books, but if so many people weren't asking for scans, I wouldn't be quite as motivated to do this so soon. Hopefully we don't have any issues with the scanner I bought this time. I should have it within the next day or two. This week, definitely. I'M SORRY BUT MY FEELINGS EXPLODE A LOT. THIS IS FE4. Also look at this lucky asshole with her asshole icon. Since we're picking up right where Holsety Scans left off, we're getting right into tons of Trabant stuff. ...And then after volume seven you get to wait until volume fourteen with me, coincidentally. Can we scan backwards?
  22. We'll be ready to go once everyone's finals are over and I get a working scanner (the one I bought, well, there were issues with the product and I informed the seller). A couple of us are looking around for a good one. It's that or the printer, which I'm finding kind of unreliable, because if I'm in the middle of a scanning process and either color or black ink runs out and we have no spares, I'm screwed. Thus, for now, I'm just using camera shots to get some pages out until something is figured out. I would have a scanner by now if I had money, actually. No, seriously; money is my problem. But then, we didn't have a full scan team until now so I guess it's okay. And it's not like I did nothing all that time since I finally got people together. I'll definitely pop in when I purchase and receive the scanner, as well as when we start working. I'm sorry this is taking forever and I wish it would speed up; especially because summer is rolling around where most of us are. As of now, we have a confirmed cleaner, someone to redraw lines, a translator, two of us will be typesetting as things stand now, and most of us if not all will be proofreading. I had a couple other offers for cleaning here, so if you guys are still interested, let me know please. Our cleaner has a full time job and having more cleaners will probably speed things up a bit.
  23. Yeah, I've just been... not posting because loldouble posting. Next set of stuff I get up will be from volumes 7 and 10, since someone asked for more Yied stuff. I might post some things on Tumblr just to get more stuff up and around too, and I'm discussing it a bit on my blog as is. If you wanna go snoop some info out I've been writing about it somewhat here. As far as cleaning goes, it's fine if you can't do much. I've had two other people offer to help with cleaning, so it'd be a way to let a load off for each of you. I think for the most part in that category we're still looking for someone who can definitely redraw lines. Also, I've gone back and looked at everything again, since prior I'd skimmed most things, but I can confirm Dew is Patty and Faval's father. He is alive in gen 2 and dies in gen 2, and Patty calls him father. Edit: Got an offer for translations, and the person willing was an FE4 fan prior, so we're good! --- Edit: Not gonna double post so I'm just gonna throw these into this post. Got a lot more than usual for the long wait. Additional volume seven/Yied Massacre raws by request: Unfortunately my camera really didn't like this volume. Or maybe it just didn't like Trabant. Volume ten raws: Basically all of volume ten is about the Isaac/Dozel families, which is why basically all the raws I've put up are just that. Volume eleven moves into Manster territory and covers Leaf and Aless' recruitment into the liberation army. Volume ten ends with Yurius... covered in blood. Surprise.
  24. No problem! It'll be a lot easier once I get my scanner in, but I can definitely go back and get some of those in the meantime. I'll probably post those for you when I get all my other shots together and crop those. No, it's Visioneer OneTouch. It was only a bit more than twenty dollars used, and I am pretty sure returns are accepted. I'll try it out and see how it goes. All the big name brands are too much money for me right now honestly (I'm in a tight spot financially and I'm squeezing money out for all this stuff which is why you keep seeing me say "used" and that I am obviously buying this all off the internet). Edit: Had a couple issues, so it's back to the camera for now. And possibly the printer, but a family member is willing to go halves with me on that ink price, and someone else has offered to keep looking into scanners with me in the meantime.
