  1. Opening her eyes lazily, Mushirah had an unfortunately hazy view of the world currently and sitting up was apparently not her greatest idea, nor that easy of a task which the grunting and pained sounds made evident. She didn't recognize Shadrak near her for a moment, smiling ever so faintly when she did but that returned to an anguished grimace very quickly. Maybe it was the tiredness catching her off guard but it was most likely the fact that she was in pain and down an arm and finally able to realize that, tears were spilling out of her freely. "H-help..." Trying to speak ended in incoherent blurbs beyond that one word, eventually giving up on speaking, weakly gripping at the man by her.

  2. She could hear a bunch of noise but it was all muddled in her head, indecipherable and hard to follow, prompting a single incredibly weak groan in response to what she assumed was a conversation near her. Make it stop... was the only thought swimming around in her mind.

Spitting some of the mixed blood out of her mouth, the taste being some kind mix between uncomfortable and disgusting. "Blech... Note to self, bird people taste disgusting. Anyway! Lumi, dear, I'd be more concerned about you in your state. You seem really broken up, pretty literally... You need to take it easier, kid." Patting Lumi on her shoulder lightly, Aneda waved her hand dismissively when the vulnerary was brought up. "I dont' need it, and really I'd say save it. We've got people here who can patch us up enough to at least get our bodies going. As they say, no pain, no gain! Feel the burn! Wait you like ice... So just chill out!"

"Two months...? Holy hell, lady." Jericho stated bluntly, a slight shake of his head. "Anyway, when it's appropriate, I'd like to talk to you at length about some things Aneda told me regarding a possible tagging along." Classy, Jericho, super classy...

  3. Shaking the jitters off of his body, Jericho finally took a brief moment to relax himself, letting some of the tension go. He hadn't felt that kind of pressure in a good long while, and even more surprising to him was the fact that he wasn't all that mad about it. Coughing the rest of his jitters away, he decided to finally go and talk to Raquel since, hey, that's who he was hoping to talk to for a while. "Is uh... is this a normal occurrence for you guys? Because this is probably one of those really rare times where I actually wasn't being bullshitted about something."

Down over by the estate itself, Aneda made her presence known to Pete and Lumi since apparently the latter was worried about her well being. "Awww, you really do care about me!" was her first response, immediately feeling it was a bit inappropriate but she'd fight to her inevitable death for her right to say things she said. "i may be emotionally unstable but I'm as solid as a goddamn mountain when it comes to endurance and constitution. Though I could do without the pain... And the whole bleeding thing... I like my blood inside me, thank you very much." she absentmindedly wiped some blood off of her face that had streamed down. Nothing major, just a small bit had dripped down that she hadn't actually noticed until now. She wasn't really paying attention at all really, not to the taunting and yelling of some bird person until she heard some violent noises in the form of explosions, seeing some guy get completely decimated in the process of one of them. All that did for her was make her grimace as some of that guy's blood happened to splatter on her face as well. "Are you... kidding me?" she said in disbelief, completely aiming that at the fact that she got more blood on her face than the exploding man spectacle.

There wasn't much change in Mushirah's condition over all, just more regular breathing intertwined with feeling numb in some place, or at least extremely desensitized. She did her best to stay awake, however pointless it felt at the rate she was going.

  4. Laughing in her mind, Aneda went in for the kill, taking a wide swing at the injured beast just so she could whirl around and deliver a destructive kick to the side of its head, a blow to finally put this particular nightmare to sleep.

Body smashed, bruised and ripped pretty literally, the healing only took care of the superficial parts of it for the most part. It was a horrible feeling, one she wouldn't, couldn't forget if she tried, though she wasn't even trying to forget about it so much as try to not vomit, which she failed to do. With it went all of her energy, adrenaline finally fading from her as she was only barely awake because of the pain and the fear. She let out a pitiful whining noise to accompany how she felt, though even that was a ridiculous feat for the girl as she was.

  5. She still stood, that much was good for Mushirah. she saw what appeared to be more injured teammates which wasn't exactly a new thing to be experiencing but it would never be something she'd ever get used to. Taking a few rhythmic breaths, the magician mentally prepared herself as best she could to actively help out despite her set back.

  6. Taking her sweet time, Aneda finished off the bear, first deflecting one of its attacks with a powerful swipe followed by a precise strike straight through the thing's chest. Yanking her spear out with a primal grunt, she let the dead monster fall, spitting on it in a fit of bad sportsmanship.

The burning in her arm subsided but she still couldn't focus entirely. She heard a vague command to help out. Sweating from the shock of it all, Mushirah stood herself up, finding it difficult to balance for a small while before she decided to simply take a wider stance.

  7. Even with her wound closed up, Mushirah was still in a state of shock and the burning sensation she was experiencing didn't make it any easier to cope with. Keeping her eyes closed, she tried desperately to calm herself down, but that just wasn't going to happen. Every time she thought the pain had subsided even slightly, it seemed to come back with a vengeance, eventually finding her time and energy best spent just trying to wait it all out. It wasn't her best plan, in fact it was probably one of her worst but she didn't know what else to do.

  8. "Tch..." Aneda voiced her displeasure with things around her, not of her allies but of the demons and the situation itself. Really, it was a dumb place to be and she'd rather at this very moment be at a bar getting a whee bit drunk and maybe getting her groove on (giggity). Still, reality was somewhat hard to ignore as she took up a defensive watch by Lumi, admiring the girls' handiwork. "Nice." she flatly said to Lumi before becoming the silent guardian.

  9. A solid blast from her partner, Mushirah made absolutely sure that the beast's attention was on her as she hurled her own sphere at the creature. It didn't seem to kill it, which wasn't good for her but it still served its purpose all the same. Bracing herself for one thing, she completely underestimated the monster's speed and all around blood lust, forgetting for an unfortunate moment that it was a result of demonic work although she had no experience with ferocious animals in the wild anyway... so the outcome might have been the same regardless. The bear charged in, obviously hurt as she could see it stumbling but that only served to throw her off as it managed to pierce its fangs deep into her right arm with an angry snarling, snapping the bones and managing to rip it from the shoulder with a none too clean yank of its head.

Shrieking from the sheer surprise and the burning twinge of pain, it was only because the thing was so battered and hurt for the moment that she had managed to actually force it away in her panicked state, though the pain seemed to keep on surging through her. Gripping where her arm used to be, she grew extremely weak, the world around her nothing more than faint sounds and unidentifiable objects buzzing about as she tried her damndest to focus on not fainting out of shock. Wincing and crying, she tried to call out for someone, anyone, but all that came out was whimpering and some hysterics.

  10. "Oh..." Jericho muttered, seeing the boasting murder bird. At his current distance, he was pretty dang sure he'd most likely miss his target, but in all the excitement, Jericho did lob his own special blend of fire at the bastard. With a name like Fury, I'm pretty certain the world is better off without you. Mistake? Maybe. Did he care? Of course not, nothing would get done if people cared what others thought.

  11. Aneda didn't see how this was risking their life so much as defending it at this point. Running may have been an option a while ago, but now running seemed to be more of a suicidal option, though technically it's still an option all the same. Does it really matter why people are here? "I'm just here to fight for my life, I don't know about all of you. Coudla run when we had the chance before but we all stuck around... So instead of questioning things, how's about we face consequences head on, maybe with a spear or sword or other sharp pointy objects or magic and just accept it since life is one incredibly fucked up thing to begin with?"

Facing life head on like that...? I can't even imagine someone being so reckless and being completely ok with that. Then again, maybe... Maybe I should try that, maybe putting the fear of death into me might give me a drive of sorts. Gods know I need a kick in a direction, or a shove. Mushirah pondered, her hand idly rubbing her tome for some form of comfort after not having it for an extended amount of time. She felt different for some reason, though she wasn't quite sure what the change was or if it'd be good or terrible. What did it matter if she was dead anyway? Better to focus on how she can contribute to this force while not holding people back. "I can agree to that." It was with a small amount of conviction that she spoke, more than she'd had a while ago anyway, though she was actually agreeing to the last part of what Aneda said than anything else.

Meanwhile, over by Jericho there seemed to be an immediate arguing going on. This didn't bode well for any sort of morale in the group, not that he was a shining beacon by any means. "Look, can you all just set it aside and deal with it later? We've kinda got more important things to deal with, like who's going to do what. Hopefully we're not just going to rush in, pants-on-head retarded. I'm not anyway..."

  12. The situation was more or less in the process of getting handled, Jericho idly standing by not really knowing how to contribute to things said, though he was guessing that the pink haired girl was indeed Raquel due to the fact that someone up and called her Raquel and stuff. He had to echo the red haired woman's views though, "Yeah, we should probably head out as soon as possible if we're even gonna do this. A moment not going is another moment of danger and all that crap." We could be waltzing right into a murder trap altogether, but whatever. I'd like to face my death head on than die like a bitch in a corner.

Getting out of the carriage with a lethargic air due to being shaken up in multiple ways, Mushirah had nothing to say about much of anything, almost completely due to her mood. She just wanted a clear course of action and direction in her life but admittedly she had no idea of how to interpret what life threw at her, even less of an idea of what a supposed right choice would be if there even was one for her. Moral dilemmas aside, She seemed more or less cognizant of her surroundings but over all disinterested.

  13. Giving Shadrak a downcast smile, Mushirah wasn't sure if she was glad he said that or if she really appreciated a distraction at all. She almost wanted to go ahead and give him a hug but feared that would be just a bit random at the moment. Settling for squeezing his hand, it ended as soon as the carriage's violent shuddering started, Such shaking was hard to ignore and secretly Mushirah was glad for that too. any time not spent wallowing was good for the girl at this rate, though the bruises she might get from the rowdy bumping (giggity) wouldn't really be as welcomed.

Down over at the estate, Jericho and Aneda were discussing their upcoming actions. "Look, all I'm saying is if you want to give her a good impression, then why not offer her your services right now? I know I ain't going, though at this point it's more out of laziness and not wanting to really take Hannah out and endangering her. The girl needed to rest, even if she didn't know it.

"Yeah, i know, I'm just nervous."

"Nervous? Not scared, afraid or even fearing for your life, just nervous?"

"For the love of- YES, okay, yes, I'm human, I have those thoughts all over the place, I just used a one word descriptor!"

Laughing at the guy and ruffling his hair, "I'm just messin with ya! Go on, get. I probably can't give you an introduction though, given there's way more important things going on, but I'm fairly certain any help she can get would be appreciated on some base level."

Groaning and finding the gathering group, Jericho made himself known. "Hey, if you've got room for one more, I'll go help yall out." It was simple, maybe not effective since he didn't really say it to anyone in particular, but whatever. Unless they physically held him back from going, he was going.

  14. "Traveling..." She echoed dully. I've killed people... I could've traveled around the world without having to resort to this kind of barbarism! And yet, I'm not running away from it... Maybe I'm not the sweet little girl I always assumed I'd be? "I still do have a lot of it to do, yes. Barely even touched the surface... I need better goal management, looking at the big picture like this is killing me on the inside, like... I try, but I never seem to see any real progress and-" a deep breath and a readjusting of her posture, "and I just... don't know. I am so confused right now." She looked to Shadrak for a moment, concerned and a mite of frustration on her face, before shifting her gaze to the floor, trying to figure out a way to get rid of all this anxiety and stress that seemed to be trying to take over her.

  15. "That'd be fine." Mushirah replied dryly, feeling drained from the events. With an audible sigh, she slumped against her seat a bit, muttering aloud, "I didn't think I'd ever get this homesick this quickly." All she could think of doing was going home and curling up on her bed to make all the bad things go away. To be fair, that's something she actually pretty often thought of doing, no matter the situation given how recently she left her home. And given how weird and disturbing things kept getting, it almost felt like she'd do it any day now.

  16. Giving Shadrak a quick kiss on the cheek, Mushirah grinned for a moment, "Thanks for the effort tonight." she said, thinking that if things were as dire as they sounded out there she wanted to at least do something remotely memorable for herself. Not that a dead person would remember much when they're six feet under.

Jericho's eyes lit up at the mention of demons. He of course was well aware of their existence, but this far north was a different beast altogether. Bad luck really does seem to follow her around, doesn't it? he thought, making sure he was prepared. He had what he needed on his person, but what about Aneda? He had been with her but she had actually taken off running at the first mention of more crap going down and eventually they, that is, Aneda and Jericho could both be found at the entrance, prepared to roll out.

  17. "Yeah..." was Mushirah's single response to anything that might've been said to her as she got inside the carriage with her date's help. Seems reasonable enough, have no power, go get some power. Looking to Shadrak, she gave a weak willed smile. We just keep throwing ourselves into danger, or at least they all do. How long can we keep this up? Patting the seat next to her she urged the guy to sit next to her.

Seeing a Veronika run by already let Aneda know something was up as she started heading off to follow the lady, the shouting she heard moments later only confirmed it as she picked up her pace to catch up to her, not running like a rude person but hustling all the same whilst Jericho instinctively did the same thing. "The hell?" he commented under his breath, earning a shrug from Aneda. She made her way within earshot of Veronika at this point and just sort of hung out. Info would come her way if needed.

  18. Things were happening around Mushirah but she kept to herself for the most part in a desperate attempt to stay calm and collected. The initial wave of stress had subsided, but she was still feeling on edge. I just want to be safe... what am I even doing here? It wasn't entirely intentional but she couldn't really help the doubt from settling in.

Jericho and Aneda, back over at the estate, were both fairly certain that leaving Greta would be the best choice at the immediate moment. She seemed like, if she wasn't already, she was gonna just sleep it all off. Disturbing that rest would just be rude and pretty unwarranted by either of them. On their way back to the main hall, Jericho inquired about what it was like to ride a flying beast, to which Aneda replied, "It's... not as thrilling as it sounds, actually. I dunno, maybe being around one for so long has taken away the luster, or perhaps i'm just depressed and downplaying everything..." Yeah I'm just depressed, I'm pretty sure I still love flying and its freedom but I just don't want to go offer him a ride at the moment since that's what they always fucking ask for. "Anyway, it's extremely convenient, I'll give it that."

"Oh I'll bet. Wish I could ride one one day... Imagine, raining fire down upon some jackasses who clearly deserve it while I laugh triumphantly on my righteous steed!"

"I'd rather not think of more violence given past circumstances."

    "That's fair. Violence divides people."

Yeah, sometimes permanently... Aneda thought morbidly as her face cringed.

  19. Sticking together sounded like a very typical thing to do, safe, but for some reason Mushirah wasn't sure it was the absolute best of options at the moment. Most likely due to her panicky nature as of now. What if we're all taken out at the same time since we're grouped up? Who would tell my parents that I was murdered? She put on a brave face, or at least a stoic face, but really she was a mess on the inside, though that would be a fairly normal thing under these circumstances she hoped.

"Really?" Jericho mouthed, hand sin his pockets as he walked with Aneda and Greta towards a room, any room really. Aneda had the same idea and eventually just picked a room. "Wow, imagine that, we found the room you were talking about!" she exclaimed as Jericho, the gentleman that he was, opened the door. Thankfully no one had occupied it already, what luck that was. It was a pretty good idea at the time, but Aneda sort of tossed Greta onto the bed there without any sort of warning beyond a sudden, "Here ya go!"

  20. Sighing as she started to pick Greta up since she didn't exactly trust the lady to walk straight given her current state, Aneda tried to reason out the directions herself. "Second floor, and... a bunch of lefts?"

"You sure you don't just want to ask someone for assistance? Heck I can go get someone if need be..."

"no no, I can handle this."

"Didn't you just say you'd ask- you know what, nevermind! Just don't drop her, in fact, do you need any help?"

"You kidding? You don't look like you could help out anyway, I'm much taller, it'd just be weird."

"I'd punch you, but I'm afraid that'd lead to yet another staggering loss on my end. Third times the charm, I guess..."

With a surprising amount of ease, Aneda did pick her up and make her way towards Greta's room, wherever it might magically find itself with those strategically sound directions. Jericho followed her just to make sure she didn't mess it up herself, he felt she was a bit drunk too given their whole conversation but she seemed to hold it a lot better of the three of them.

Mushirah, meanwhile, shook her head rather quickly. "Don't worry about it, it wasn't anything you did. We can always try again, if you want to of course..." She had to cut herself short there since really, the situation was about as dire as it could get with an unknown invasion or outbreak on hand. "We should just go group up, the sooner we can, the sooner things can calm down and i'd rather not be as stressed as I am for much longer."
