Note: I saw somebody on here (don't remember your name, sorry), that said recruiting a spouse's family member would be interesting and I agree. They went on to talk about how this could also serve alliances and stuff. I have to agree, I think this would make more sense to have an already trained member of another persons family be recruited than 'suddenly children'.
That does sound more plausible. Skill and Growth rate inheritance would still be tricky to handle though.

Oh, I agree. It's a great mechanic. I just think there should be a good story reason for their presence.

I know there are topics like this floating around but I was curious so I made a poll.
For my money, I have to say I'm mixed on there being children. I do like the mechanic in theory but the lack of a viable story reason makes me hesitate to even bother recruiting them.
As for them being in future games, I won't say no but I will say wait a while. Far as I'm concerned, the mechanic has worn its welcome for the time being.

Don't worry Robin, at least you don't have to wear a battle leotard.
Very true.

Niles was one that actually surprised me with how much I like him. The whole wanting to make everyone suffer put me off at first and I wasn't a huge fan of his first couple of supports with Camilla or his C support with Arthur but after actually reading the rest of those supports as well as some other ones like his and Nina's he actually really grew on me. He's one of my favorites in the games. Plus, his in battle quotes crack me up. He also has one of the better voice actors in the game.
Arthur is one I figured I would like but I didn't expect him to be as enjoyable as he is.
Also Leo. I liked his chapter in Birthright. Also, that bit where he killed Zola in Conquest. One of the few times a character actually did something smart.

I don't think I've seen this one posted yet so . . .

You know, another game in the series I could see getting the two version treatment if it were remade is Sacred Stones. The only snags (and they're admittedly pretty major) would be the beginning and ending chapters so that they'd be different between games.

I don't see how this is something they could do again without treading very similar ground to Fates in terms of story. Also, as mentioned before, the multiple paths is something unique to Fates and makes it stick out (whether that's good or bad is a matter of opinion) so I personally hope they don't do it again. At least not for a long while.

Blame Takumi. Leo all the way!

I'm going to another one for a Hoshido character since I did one for Nohr.
Name: Achal
Mother: Rinkah
Class: Oni Savage (because only getting one of these without reclassing annoys me)
Personal Skill: Fiery Soul-When HP is not full, Def +4
Description-As a child, he was very restless and often got into fights. He always had a sturdy body and is able to take hits that would leave most people crippled. He admires his mother's strength and challenges her to duals often. While not a troublemaker, he can be very stubborn and will wander off on his own to look for fights if he is kept waiting too long. His paralogue would revolve around him leaving his Deepreal against his parents instructions and challenging a gang of brigands by himself. Has the densest bones.

I'd like to take a crack at this. Just for fun.
Name: Del
Mother: Selena
Class: Fighter
Personal Skill:
Description: He is competitive like his mother but is much more friendly with his rivals than Selena is. In fact, Selena is the only person who he gets irritated with. Despite this, he does care for his mother and tries to get her to lighten up. The loudest whistler.
How's that?

Mine keeps saying I won't get my copy until Friday. Kinda regret not getting the two day shipping now but I'm poor and cheap. Oh, well.

I haven't been bothered by most of the changes. Some of the name changes are odd but far from rage inducing for me. The whole lack of face rubbing never bothered me either. I just want it to be here so I can get my FE fix!

Gameplay
Unlimited weapons uses (about time)
My Castle
Exploring supports
Having different routes
Also I'm just curious to see how the localization team handled the story

Luna/Selena child would be like Matoi
Setsuna would have a very active child
I don't know about Luna's child being like Matoi. I imagined Luna's kid actually being more like her in terms of personality.
I think it'd be funny if Setsuna's kid was actually very good at finding or even setting traps.

Hm, this is a tough one but I think I got something.
Concentration: When fighting the same enemy multiple times in a row, stats +1. Resets whenever I fight a new enemy.
Or if that's too OP. . .
One Step Ahead: When an enemy attacks, automatically equip any weapon that has an advantage against it in the weapon triangle. Doesn't work if I don't have an appropriate weapon in my inventory.

What do they mean by early? Like between January and March?

While inconvenient, this doesn't bother me too much. I just want a set release date

Dude werewof yeti! Sweeeet!

This wait is too long.

Is anyone else curious about Kamui's sword, Yatogami? He or she is always seen with it but I don't think we've been told what it's effects are.

Princess Bride references are hardly ever a bad thing.I hope Not!Inigo's name in Montoya and his entire purpose is to kill some Hoshindo General that killed his father.
-
That'd be a fun angle if Garon was playing favorites
-
Cyrus seems like the ultimate best bro. I'm already thinking about using him on all three paths.

By killing a guy who will betray and manipulate people just to save his own skin? I dunno. Whatever.
