The maps are also riddled with beginners traps, most infamously in Chapter 4 where the game doesn't tell you that if Leif escapes first, the entire rest of your army dies instantly.

“It could be anybody. For now, we have to run. The stairs to the north lead outside. I’ll buy time for you, so you go first.”Leaf:
“But what about you?”Fergus:
“Probably we’ll get captured again. But I don’t mind as long as you’re able to escape.”Leaf:
“I can’t do that! When I escape, so does everyone else!” -

Patiently waiting for an update with the official names.

Red: Tiki. amazing stats across the board. destroyer of Hectors.
Blue: It's hard to argue against Azura, but Robin is such a good assist on my team. Spur Def is a key component in my arena strat, and he's the only mage that can take a few hits.
Colorless: Takumi....
Green: Fae. Just like Tiki, fantastic stats across the board, only character i can think of (besides Catria) where every skill at her disposal is incredibly useful.
Also, why is everyone saying Cecilia for green? She's terrible. Maybe even the worst unit I've used so far. Sure, she looks good on paper with her colorless effective weapon and her Res-up, but she has awful Defense and Speed and will get one shotted by anything physical or Red.

Azura, Tiki, and Marth.
While I'm very happy with Azura, my Tiki and Marth come from repeatedly trying to pull Lucina. Tiki turned out to be a boss, but I'm not sure if 5* Marth is really much better than my 4* Roy.
Utilize Marth's movement options and you'll realize why he's currently climbing tier lists. Also, his stats are some of the best in the game, way better than Roy's.

ok so it's the site. thank you very much! im gonna use that calculator from now on.

I'm basing my info off of this http://feheroes.wiki/Stat_Growth site.
So, if High and low stats always balance eachother out so that if one stat has a high roll, another will have a low roll, then can someone please explain my Catria? Is the information from the site off or did i get screwed? Something of note is that this Catria was promoted from a 4 star, i don't know if that has something to do with it.

do buffs of the same stat stack? would i be getting +8 if i had 2 spur defense characters next to a unit? or +4?

this is the reason why they should gut the player character from the series all together. ever since FE7 (your name and birthday here) contributes nothing to the story except taking all the other units out of character for a few lines to stroke your ego.

To me, its a bold direction for the series, and I feel as though the absence of chance really punctuates the strategy aspect of Fire Emblem in a positive way. Would you guys like to see them apply this streamlined system to a non-grindable mainline entry? or am i just crazy?

lets stop being dense people. The awakening DLC names clearly have as much respect for the source material as the the awakening DLC artwork.
Lachesis is to Rachesis

Fa la la la la la la la la is to Fa ra ra ra ra ra ra ra ra

All the GBA fire emblem's gameplay don't really shine unless you are playing on hard mode on original hardware (i.e. NO SAVE STATES). FE6 was a snooze-fest until i unlocked hard mode. TBH the gaiden chapters are all terrible no matter what difficulty.

dude. thank you.

Bought a used cart that happened to have EHM unlocked so I'm starting off with that. Let me just say I love this game, fantastic maps. I love that i can check on my ranking throughout the campaign- which is why i have decided to go for an S-rank my first playthrough.
anyway, my question. Does anyone know what trigger's Kenneth to start using purge? i got up to the treasure room thinking he wasn't going pop off since i had been within range for several turns, but nope- he killed Hector with a resounding 25 damage.
Also, if anybody could give me some tips for dealing with him that would be great. I'm not really concerned about getting his purge.

Our beloved dating simulator with a tactics minigame tacked on
*YOUR beloved dating simulator with a tatics minigame tacked on.
They need to step away from focusing on supports, and- i dunno, make a better tactical RPG.
edit: oh yeah, and fuck avatar characters. I have hated the concept since FE7. It feels weird to have your characters worship you for no apparent reason, stroking your ego at any chance they get.

What is it that People Love About FE5?
in NES and SNES Era
Posted
Just started playing through I'm at Ch 6 and I am in love with this game. I love how the game utilizes the maps and gameplay to drive the story telling. This is seen a few times in FE4 (Yeid desert in Chapter 4), but is so cleverly done in Thracia. Obviously there's chapter 5 which builds an amazing amount of tension for the plight of Evelyn and Nanna, but i really liked the set up of Ced's introduction in 4x. How he starts up in that hallway sneakily killing guards and assisting Asbel, to holding off the the south flank killing enemy after enemy in the darkness as you escape safely.. freaking awesome. The AI is the best in any FE not just for enemies but for friendly units, as well.
