  1. Woah, the more you know I guess. This makes me dislike the pokemon in this game a lot less, so thanks to both of you. Why you gotta compare my main to the only anime pokemon ;_;. On the other hand, I don't even own Lucas but he seems to play very differently. I agree with you in the since that their overall play style is different. If they had different moves but the exact same combos then I would see them as semi-clones.
  2. Lol good point; though, I wasn't referring to only their moveset. I generally won't play a character if I hate them or their game. Roy, if I'm not mistaken, is the worst lord in any FE game ever. Despite that, I did like Roy when he first came out though and would of chosen him (by far) over Lucina if I could. I guess I just hate that he's a clone. I never played any Earthbound so I can't hate Lucas but I can't like him... and he's a clone. Once again, never played street fighter but Ryu actually seems pretty cool. I suppose I don't have anything against other then the weird controls, but it feels strange that he's from another fighting game to me. That kinda throws me off... As for Mewtwo (this goes for all pokemon to) I feel like they just chose random pokemon from the anime. Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Charizard are all anime pokemon. I'm pretty sure Greninja is too (although idk). Lucario sorta plays a role in the games but a much bigger role in movies and anime. Mewtwo seems like the same problem as Lucario. This REALLY annoys me but unfortunately can't really be fixed. Anyway, I guess I probably shoulda said this all in the original topic instead of replying to one line in a post but whatever I guess.
  3. Pretty self-explanatory, I want to know what you guys think of DLC. So far I haven't been impressed. I would of bought Roy if Lucina wasn't in the game, but because I don't want three Marths, I haven't. Similarly, I own brawl and can play Lucas on it. Mewtwo is, imo, a very outdated character, and another one of the billions of pokemon in this game. Finally, they gave Ryu weird controls and I don't really want to waste time learning them. None of these characters I would really main or even second in the long run. I've been really disappointed in DLC so far and wanted to know how you guys felt.
  4. First off, please don't get confused. This is not "How well do you do in for glory?" or "How often do you play for glory?". I'm asking how you play. If you don't understand here's some examples: What characters do you use: Ever play random? Or do you use the same one every time? If your opponent is a projectile spammer do you switch so you have a reflect? I always switch between Kirby, Meta Knight, and King Dedede in that order. Do you every quit matches? What if your fighting someone obnoxious? I don't. How do you interact with other players? Do you use taunts as a greeting or a well... taunt? What about names? I always taunt at the start of the match. That's the general idea. There probably more stuff you that could describe how you play so feel free to put it in your message. You can also recall or (if you actually have a video) post old for glory matches if your talking about something that involves them.
  5. Whoops forgot to include part 4. Here it is: Team Micaiah: This team has so many weak people with Micaiah, still not classed up Sothe, Sanaki, Sigurn, etc. The chapters are slow and careful though even if you only send the royals they can do it. However, I usually send Haar with them for the desert level. I also recruit Stefan. Team Ike: Because of my small team size I always end up having a lot of bexp and/or stat boost left. Even if Ike not lvl 20/20/20 he's easily powerful enough to get through these chapter by himself. (That stupid sleep staff priest on Ike.2 always gives me trouble). I also recruit Oliver. Team Tibarn: It has Tibarn. I also added Aran for taking care of crossbow guys. In the rebirth chapters I use Aran, Haar, Ike, Micaiah-carrying Sothe, and stat boosted/bexped Stefan to beat all the goons except in (rebirth 4 where I go for the boss). Then I kill the boss (make sure to bring a random sword user to get wyrmslayer blessed) Very little I just got too many stat boost. *Coughresovlecough* P.S. I under stand why Mia and JIll are the rated so well now though so much appreciation!
  6. I'm sorry I wasn't very clear with my previous post my strategy starts. Here's my strategy: 1.p-1.2: I just use what I got to get through these chapters. 1.3: This is the chapter I get Aran I try to level him up as much as possible. 1.4-1.5: Aran continues to level up by the end he's quite overpowered. (From here most chapter don't give me any trouble so they will not be listed) 1.6.2: Tauroneo gets a 2-3 javelins and heads straight for the boss Everyone else tries to save Fiona. Part 2 is the usual strategy since you don't get to level up a whole lot. 3.p-3.1: Use what I got 3.2-3.F: Haar and Ike wreck everything literately no chapter gives me trouble. 3.6: Sothe takes savoir and rescues Micaiah. (he will do this for the rest of the game) Then my field is only Sothe with the beastkiller and Aran with beastfoe. That one chapter with the rocks and canyon: (I forgot which one this is) The same as above but Sothe mostly stays back and Aran has paragon or resolve. 3.13: Aran gets celerity and head straight for Ike. I make him a custom lance (in one of the previous chapters as forge isn't available). High skill + high crit weapon along with Ike low luck and Aran's ability to use his mastery skill by now = Ike dying pretty fast. Hopefully that cleared some things up.
  7. What exactly is the usual strat for RD? Some character seem to be rated very well for no reason. The strat I use is Aran, Sothe. Harr, Ike, and Stefan. So why is: Mia the best trueblade: Mia is easy to raise but the Greil Mercies are so overpowered anyway. She doesn't really add anything to their team. In the endgame her bad caps slow her down. At least Eddy and ZIhark are HELPFUL at some point, although, my favorite is Stefan. He is like what MIa is supposed to be. Jill so useful: Nolan seems like he outclasses Jill to the end. When you get Jill Nolan will be at a higher level. By the time Jill catches up Nolan will have Tarvos. Finally, in the endgame Jill and Nolan only have 1 range (Tomahawk kinda blows) and low Res so I don't think their that useful. So why are these guys rated so well.
  8. Wow that clears up a lot about Shulk. Many thanks for the video!
  9. Was I the only one who got creeped out by part 1? To me it seemed that Micaiah and Sothe was trying to force her way up the ranks. She was willing to go in to the desert, in which none have survived, in order to find him. Then she slowly makes everyone trust her, and ends up taking most of Pellas's power away from him. I noticed in one of the base conversations Sothe says something like "Pellas you should be the one the give the troops thier money..." like some kind of warning. When you briefly see Izuka before Micaiah and friends join he seems very protective. However after Micaiah gets some much power he ends up make Pellas sign the blood pact. The blood pact which juct "happens" to lead to Pellas death. I know that that Izuka was evil in the last game but he was still working for Daein. I also know this theory doesn't make sense but for a while the game made me think something was up.
  10. I crossed out all the one's that make sense to me now. However, it still seems like Shulk and Falcon could be higher, especially Shulk. As a Kirby main I agree 9001%, however, I think Kirby might make it to upper B at most because of his approach.Against character like mega man a villager the matchup become nearly impossible. Apparently he also stinks against Luigi though idk why. It also seems like King DDD is pretty good he's surprisingly fast with attacks like d-tilt and has projectiles, recovery, range, and power all great already.
  11. Well I only play with the GC briefly during melee so I don't remember how it controls. I guess it's a lot better although as a question: Why would you ever need to short hop uair?
  12. Just wondering why some character are considered so bad on the tier list Marth- Good range, good recovery, very fast. Ik his range was nerfed but it's still good. Samus- Samus is just so low. Why? WFT- I thought people saw potential. Wario and Shulk- Both seem better than "B+". Captain Falcon Heavy, fast, powerful, has good combos, has attacks that move long distances, meteor smashes. Seems mostly flawless to me. Doctor Mario- DM is more powerful but slower right? He has worse recovery but isn't that work Dr. Tornado is for? I just don't get why he is SO MUCH lower than Mario (and why is Mario so high. Edit: There are probably more that I missed feel free to post your own if you want.
  13. I gotta ask. Why is the wiimote so bad? The main reason I heard is up-tilt can't be done without jumping, but as Kirby I can combo up tilt from dair. The Wiimote+nunchuck felt awkward and hard to use. The Gamepad felt really large. I don't have a GC adapter and didn't play Melee very much. Also on the WM+N and GP when I flicked the joystick up it only jumped sometimes?
  14. So I play with a sideways wiimote (I know it's considered the worst). Grabbing with the wiimote is hard because you have to use either "A+B" or "-". A and B are okay for shield grabs but - for dash, pivot, and regular is just a pain. So, one day, I decided to switch to - and 1 keys so - was special and 1 was grab. My playing improved A LOT. However, now for some reason my fingers on the right side decided they need to reach all the way across the wimote to press B and shield. My left fingers just sit there. It's pretty uncomfortable so I tried using my left and my play style became worse than before. I tried switching the keys back my right side fingers still reach across. I know this is a weird question but I can't think of anything else to try, so any ideas?
  15. Ah that actually makes a lot of sense. The smash wiki insist that zelda was buffed too.
  16. Well that helps a lot! Although I noticed it didn't say that if you juggle uair to the top of the screen you can kill w/ mach tornado. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q24P9DR872k also found this interesting. Plus I notice if you use multi hit by the edge so that the tip of the sword lines up with the edge of the stage it becomes nearly impossible for some character to get up (even more so on over 100%). I still can't do most of this stuff (well the edge thing I can) but just making sure you knew. DDD is really fun to play and I win with him about 70% of the time in for glory. Just spam gordo and d-tilt and if you can air dodge into a gordo DDD will catch it and throw it back (also DDD jump when knocked off stage). http://www.ssbwiki.com/Lucario_(SSB4)I don't really know much about lucario but...
  17. Are there any character in that you regret maining or, on the other hand, regret not maining? If you could main a character who would it be? Post them here. Mine: I regret maining: Zelda Zelda was one of the three character I used a ton in brawl. There were time when my Zelda was even better than my Ike. Upon trying Zelda in Smash U however, she seemed to be nerfed even more from 2nd to last. I regret not maining: Jigglypuff As a Kirby main Jigglypuff is terribly easy to play. On top of that Jiggs is one of the funnest characters in the game. The air attacks and air speed are amazing. In the end though, I couldn't stomach rest it give all the battle the intensity of a little mac fight, if not more. Duck Hunt Dog The DHD seems like another projectile spammer at first. Though it has the potential to be so much more. I love the mind games you can play with the can and the field control you can get with the disks. It's like DHD controls everything. If I could main a character: Meta Knight: I'm still trying to main MK somehow he amazing yet terrible at the same time. He can kill at 70%, has great recovery and edge guarding but somehow he's still hard to use. I suppose it's the range he has still seems like that wouldn't ruin him.
  18. I put the reddit tier list in the spoiler above. I personally like our list a lot better. Also is this customs on or off?
  19. Wow sounds like Lucas got a lot of buffs. He sounds like he's more balanced than Ness not needing pk fire spam and grabs to win. But I still think that's what made Ness good in the first place. Lucas still seems like he might be high tier but not as high as Ness.
  20. To me Lucas seems much worse than Ness. -His thunder isn't a kill move. -His absorb only hits in front of him -His fire can't be chained into a grab -His freeze isn't a kill move (although both are arguably worthless) -His down throw (and fire) prevents the combo that makes Ness scary from working. -His down smash only hits one side -His up smash leaves him super open What do you think?
  21. I didn't play melee enough to have a main. In brawl I mained: Kirby, Ike, Zelda, Bowser, Luigi, Jigglypuff and Link (more then half the bottom tier lol) In smash 4 I main Kirby.
  22. Realizing how confusing the last message looked so I'm just going to group all the things. (here's the first 17) Mario: Combo Luigi: Combo? Peach: Floaty (warped) Bowser: Behemoth Dr. Mario: Combo? Yoshi: Floaty? Diddy: Combo Donkey (no not from shrek): Behemoth Link: Vanguard Zelda: ?????? Shiek: Rusher Ganondorf: Behemoth T Link: ?????? Samus: ?????? ZSS: Combo Kirby Floater Meat Knight: Floater
  23. Yeah I think your right. If I get the time I'll make a list that has everyone though I'll need some help because some characters I have no idea how to play. Thanks :)
  24. Yes it's possible I've done it before. Edit: didn't see that other people answered since they gave better answers please delete this post
  25. Hmm... well I wouldn't put Mac into Vanguard. Top tier needs to be split to into faster, more powerful fighters (Rushers?) and faster, weaker fighters that have good combo game (???). But while my idea wasn't perfect (or even good) the archetypes you have listed sound terribly vague. "both combo and just generally aggressive characters good in here" that sounds like what I put as top tier. "more defensive; keep the enemy at arms-reach, control the fight, controlling space. this sounds (sort of) like Vanguards "which imo are a mix of aggressive and defensive" wha? P.S I'm sorry if I come of as rude or stubborn or idiotic. I do enjoy your constructive criticism and manly just didn't agree with your version. With the made edits (read above) Marth would be in the Rusher I believe. However, I don't actually know much about Marth as far as range and power so I can't say for sure. Link would be a vanguard as he has quite a lot of range and power. I have no idea how WFT plays but I think she'd be Warped. Peach would be considered a Floater because I don't think she has problems with kill power (but if she does then Nameless tier). And one more time: P.S I'm sorry if I come of as rude or stubborn or idiotic. I'm not trying to.
