  1. Setsuna's bonus should be luck, not speed
  2. S-rank weapons can be forged as far as the game system goes, it's just that you can currently only get one of each. It's possible they might release a DLC down the track with S-ranks as the reward. Also rescue staves are much worse for centralizing PvP meta than all of these things.
  3. Marx and Ryoma gave up some of their land to Kamui to rebuild the new Invisible Kingdom. As for the population... I don't think the writers gave much thought to it.
  4. because the rewards are actually worth it this time devs tellin ya to git gud
  5. Supposedly Tsukuyomi gets Herb Merchant from Nishiki
  6. The problem is you have to divert time and resources away from other things to work on these optional features. If they didn't put so much effort into making facerubbin' models I'm sure the writing and map design wouldn't be as sloppy.
  7. someone did a test a while ago on lutz's luck and the growths turned out to be closer to the expected value of (child +mother)/2
  8. Weaker units falling behind isn't as much of problem this time around, since they can still get kills with 0 damage, via attack stance. If you're feeding EXP to weaker units it makes it even more PP-oriented. They will patrol the room in a set movement pattern, you have to make sure you're not in range at the start or end of EP. The reinforcements don't spawn if you open the correct doors. Once you open the last door, it doesn't matter if the patrols engage you in battle.
  9. Nope, you were supposed to talk to them with Elise. You could recruit them from someone else's castle, but they won't have supports.
  10. The real gimmick in that map is that you're supposed to sneak past the patrols. If you get to the last door without being detected you get some extra items at the end of the chapter, including Boots. Also, the door thing is meant to be a mindgame playing on Kamui's characteristic of blindly trusting everyone:
  11. Going by 2ch reactions it's the most criticized part of the game in Japan as well.
  12. The official pitch is that IK is in between Hoshido and Nohr in difficulty, and that its maps have more gimmicks. The former isn't true, it's the easiest due to the AI behaviour as mentioned. The latter is true, the first thing you'll notice is that IK maps take much longer turn-wise, but I don't think that necessarily makes them bad. At least, I prefer the IK maps to Hoshido, which devolve into Awakening-style open rooms/fields later in the game. There are some interesting ideas there as well, like the floors that switch enemies between unpromoted/promoted classes and the metal gear solid stealth map. Are you sure about that? It's been a while since I finished IK so I can't recall any specific instances, but that seems wrong. What difficulty were you playing on? (the enemy placement changes with difficulty, including some enemies being doubled up where they weren't in lower difficulties)
  13. Amiibo fixes and some unspecified fixes (probably anticheat). I haven't noticed anything different.
  14. Patch 1.1 was released today, you need to update it from the eShop. Make sure you download the right version (there's a different patch for Hoshido retail, Nohr retail, special edition, and DL version).
  15. In general: Hoshido - Enemies bumrush you and suicide into you even if they can't do damage. Invisible Kingdom - Enemies wait until you get into range, then bumrush you and suicide into you even if they can't do damage. Nohr - Enemies move in squads, once you move into range of one unit everyone else in the squad will bumrush you even if you're out of range. They won't suicide into you if they can't do damage.
  16. Just to clear up some misconceptions: - The facilities that boost things like damage/hit/avoid directly only apply to My Castle battles, whereas statues boost actual caps and apply everywhere, including the main game and PvP. - My Castle battles are not PvP, it's just a PvE battle against AI but with a team and formation set by players. PvP is something different entirely and takes place on premade maps, not castles. - No structures are mandatory, you can demolish your room and Lilith's shrine. - Paris isn't really Ike's direct descendant, since we know that Ike x Soren is canon. Most likely he is descended from Mist.
  17. Yes, they raise caps, and they need to be on the castle map to have any effect. If you remove a statue while a stat is capped out and then rebuild it the game will 'remember' your stats, like with class changing. Have fun juggling statues and facilities when you need them. Also Ike x Soren confirmed.
  18. According to the guy on 2ch who married Zero you don't get a child paralogue for same-sex.
  19. So I'm hearing A+ doesn't actually have a conversation? Pretty disappointing if that's true.
  20. Have we seen any male-male A+ supports? Here's my theory: Since children are tied to fathers this time around, A+ is a female-female only thing to pair up the 'leftovers' after all the men have been matched up. This explains why Kamui doesn't get A+ supports (Kanna is tied to Kamui, even as female), or why Leon doesn't have A+ with Elise even though Aqua has one with Sakura (assuming A+ and S are mutually exclusive, a male-female A+ would prevent you from getting a child, whereas a female-female A+ doesn't lock you out of any children). Not as progressive as you thought, huh?
