I strongly dislike Kamui/Xander and I just cannot fathom why this ship is so popular. No chemestry whatsover(all they do is talk about their sword training wtf). Westermarck effect is a thing and the S-support is horrible. You can make a case for every sibling but Xander is the worst offender. Fangirls love to shove it down your throat how he is the best husband ever, it's seriously annoying me. Everytime I see fanart of those 2 I just think "Oh another one". Also Xander is a coward and a hypocite in the story.

Yeah I dont understand why people were calling Micaiah a Mary Sue when she was called out by everyone for using "heinous tactics" and fighting for the wrong side, yes even Sothe did. Remember how Sothe told Micaiah that they are fighting a senseless war that Daein shouldn't be part of? Yeah even the one closest to her criticizes her behaviour. I dont see that kind of thing for both of the Avatars who do plenty of wrong and stupid things. Anyway not a big fan of either of the Avatars here.

I heard Kagero was supposed to take Hinokas role as the big sister(hence Kagero's similarities to Mikoto and Hinokas lack of presence in the story). What could have changed if they would have stuck with the original ideas?

Xander/F!Corrin That support was fine(if a bit boring) as a sibling support. As a romantic support it just doesn't make sense as it has one of the worst buildups ever. All they talk about is training with their sword from C-A and Xander suddenly decided to bang his adopted sister who he was raised with, in his S-support. No romantic buildup whatsover. Combine the no buildup with the fact that Xander still sees Corrin as his sister if you look through the story and you get the idea. I cannot fathom why this pairing is so popular. Sure you guys have your preferences but please dont say because of chemistry. Because as a lover pairing they don't have any chemistry whatsover.

Speaking about Camilla I have heard from some people that most if not all her supports revolve around Kamui obsession and that she doesn't really have much depth otherwise. Is that true? I have read some of her supports and I can see where they are coming from(the Silas support was really hard for me to read).

I don't think that would have made things better. Hoshido would still fight and lose and casualities would still happen(arguably moreso than originally because they lost their 4 strongholds) because Hans and Iago are asshats who will find new ways to make you suffer. Sure the war might not last as long but the amount of lives lost would still be the same if not more. Also if all 4 would have died right there, I am pretty sure ghost Takumi/or any other sibling wouldn't have given their blessing to you to repair the yato since at that point they would definietly hate you for what you have done. Which means zombie Takumi(who can still be possesed even when dead) would have killed all the Nohrians and increased the death count. Generally speaking, chapter 18 conquest felt pointless to me and should have never happened. That chapter could have easily lead to a different kind of conclusion if Corrin actually talked with his Hoshidian siblings about the war. This chapter alone had so much potential yet they threw it all away, never mentioning it again. THIS. While Corrin did some really stupid things he/she is not alone to blame since you can excuse it with lack of experience. If the Nohr sibling weren't so stubborn(especially Xander, dear lord what a misguided tool) Corrin wouldn't be forced to use such a flawed plan.
