While we're on the topic of clothing, I remember quite some time ago when I was first playing through a certain route … Takumi was the only one who could chip at Marx without dying in one hit, so I was weakening Marx with him. After a while, I noticed that he had a LOT of clothing damage. I, uh, am not quite sure how to describe it but the fuzzy thing around his waist was completely gone and it looks like his top might be a 2-part thing as well. It was pretty weird.
Also, didn't Oboro say that she styled her hair like his in her support with Hinata?

when you have to fight Marx, me being a War Priestess and all, I couldn't do enough damage and heal myself to kill him (after waiting a long time to attack him because I didn't want to) and I ended up having to lure him to the door where Takumi could shoot at him. I think he two shotted Marx and it was literally the first time Takumi had any trouble so I hadn't noticed at all. xD
Ah, yes! Didn't she say her hairstyle was like that because it was similar to Takumi's? Something about wanting to feel closer to him if I'm not remembering wrong. That's so cute x3

Funnily enough, I imagined his hair would look like N's (Pokemon) hair when it is down. But actually I think it would look just like Heisuke's (Hakuoki) hair when it's down because he has the same style of topknot.

Speaking of his hair, do you guys ever think Ryouma wonders why Takumi is copying him? Like, I'd be so uncomfortable, and I would have no idea how to talk to my little brother if he tried copying my style.
True, it's probably because of their father, but that's not who Takumi's trying to surpass.
Is Takumi trying to copy Ryouma's hairstyle? I'm not really seeing it. D8

I have no idea if this is the right thread to post this on, but I just noticed something!
[spoiler=Not sure if this is a spoiler, but gonna put it in one just in case]After watching this little bit from the "Vs Takumi" cutscene about 20 times, I realized that Takumi kinda... "pops" his arm back when pulling the Fuujin bow to full draw. As an archer myself, I can say that I've never done that while drawing a recurve bow. It's more of a smooth draw, like... ah, here's a good example. Well, Takumi's bow looks a lot more like a recurve bow, but that little "pop" at the end of his draw reminded me far more of how one would draw a compound bow. (Same guy in both links, just different bow.)
My conclusion: I believe that the Fuujin bow acts like a compound bow, meaning that Takumi can hold it at full draw far longer than one could hold a recurve at full draw (seriously, holding a bow at full draw is exhausting, and I'm so glad Takumi mentions it in his supports with Kamui) and it can fire with a lot more force than a recurve of comparable size (kinda reflected in the Fuujin bow's stats, with a higher might than the normal bows).
Don't mind me, though. Just geeking out over bows and stuff.
I really like Takumi as a character (for about the same reasons as everyone else has already posted in this thread), so I just wanted to add what I noticed, even though it's just about his bow.

Haha You are definitely not the only one. I've been stalking his tags since day one and the amount of art he's getting is more and more everyday!So I am not the only one hounding pixiv for fanart of him. The fact that he is so popular with the pixiv crowd gives me hope for eventual popularity polls.
I know this is just a pipe dream right now, but it would be awesome if they decided which Fates characters to put into Smash Brothers based on that. Takumi in Smash would be the greatest thing.
Shouldn't get my hopes up too high though.

I've only played Hoshido so I can't comment on the Nohr characters yet but Hinata...why is Hinata so weak?! I pushed to use him because I liked him but come on. No matter how much I grinded him on mooks, he could never kill anything on his own. Is he just a terrible weapons master?

I don't really hate any specific character but damn I've noticed the hate for Takumi is real. I just had someone refuse a commission from me because the artist didn't like him. ;n;
Poor guy.I just don't like the Awakening characters returning and certain designs like Peiri.

I've just only finished the Hoshido side and the final boss was pretty easy but I can't compare it to the other routes yet. I did it in 3 turns with only Takumi, Ryouma, and my avatar but I was more of a liability than anything. I was confused as to why the final boss moved away from me instead of attacking me like I had planned.

Ah I'm so glad you did an edit so we can see what he would look like. xD At first I thought his face was a bit long too but now...I think he looks really young lol. I'm glad he is the way he is. ;u;

I was pretty biased when doing my playthrough but Takumi ended up totally OP.

Even without having played the Nohr side, I'm pretty sure Takumi will be my favorite character out of everyone in If. I do like that he has a very realistic reaction (albeit a bit harsh) to Kamui. Also because of the way I was inconsistently spoiled early on, I didn't trust the Hoshido side thinking they just want you for the war and the blood relation thing might have been a lie so when I did my first run, I felt like he was the only trustworthy one because I felt like if it was a trap or something, he wouldn't be telling you to leave. I still find it a little bit creepy the way everyone loves Kamui so Takumi was refreshing to see. OTL
I just don't like the way he talks shit about you. -
I was going to mention the choice as well. I think in the localization, it might be changed to joining because of being a royal of Hoshido instead of joining because of blood ties.

I would watch it if it was like...the Radiant series or something. But with the direction that FE is going (Awakening, Fates, SMTxFE), it probably wouldn't be a type of series that I'd like. Don't get me wrong, If is my top favorite atm but I'm not big into the otaku pandering thing and MUs would be handled weirdly (see: anime series based off otome games).

Edit: Is it the TMD version that I used? I wasn't sure which one I needed so I just grabbed the last one. If I need to use a different one, is it fine to just replace the one I put on the SD card? Or will I need to start over?
Edit again: Also rxtools installs data on my SD card everytime I use it/open it, is that normal? Or am I doing something wrong there? Reason why I'm asking is because I checked the Readme under the FBI inject folder and it says its normal to get an error (is it the same error I got?) and when I continued on, I don't have enough space in my SD card to add the TMD file. (The SD card is 2 gb, it's just the one that came with the 3DS.)

well rx tool still works how it is indented but it wont be updated by itself anymore, only in conection with pasta cfw.
Sysnand = the firmware of your 3ds.
emunand = the emulated firmware that is on your sd card
if you emunand is corupted you simply create a new, if you corupt your sysnand you are so out of luck without an backup and an certain mod.
Okay. Since all the instructions are going to look like gibberish to me until I at least try this for myself, what should I *not* do so I can avoid bricking my system?
Edit: And is there still a video tutorial on how to do this step by step still planned? No rush, I just don't want to do anything rash.

you could but i wouldnt recomend it yet. Due Pasta still running in sysnand mode in which you can screw up you system when you do something bad.
Okay I'm really confused now. Then maybe I don't understand what you mean by "rxtool is effectively canned". OTL I literally don't know what any of these names mean and the instructions aren't clear enough for someone who doesn't do these hacks regularly at least...to me...? Maybe I'm really that stupid.
