  1. I have tried this. Multiple times. It remains jibberish to me.
  2. Hello! I am currently having some trouble inserting a custom animation into Fire Emblem 7 with FEditor Adv, as the title states. My problem? Basically everything. First off. Although I have finished the frames, and can clean them up whenever, the problem is the actual insertion. Am I supposed to use the Animation Manager or the Animation Creator? It seems that I'm supposed to use the latter, in which case... Well, I have no idea what to do. This link: http://www.feuniverse.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=4485 didn't help. At all. What is a script? How do I make it? WTF is the tutorial telling me to do? After it tells me "Now we're going to create the script", it just tells me a bunch of useless gibberish. Mainly because not only do I not know where this script is, it seems to be assuming that I do, and completely overlooking everythingthat I went there to figure out. So that's my situation. Thank you to anyone who helps.

  4. In. Cr. Edible. While I'm here stuck on level... 5? Or six... the annoying one with the hallway, you're blowing through the game like nobody's business! I think that some of my problems are: Haven't gotten a forger Wing Spear for Caeda, which is strange since I normally do. I tried her as a mage for a chapter, wasted a Fire forge. She was reliable ORKOing, but she just seemed to do better as a Peg. I'm not sure why... Another part of the reason could be that I missed Merric, and therefore Wendell, Jagen died, and a whole slew of other things. MY main problem with Jagen was chapter 4. He was the only one who could stop the Thief from getting to the village in time, but every single time, he'd get murdered by the calvalry charge. I dunno... Heck, it took my entire team and some fancy chokepointing to kill that upper area by the lake off! Judging by how many times my team has been completely wiped out on this chapter, maybe it'd be better to restart... You know, not only has this topic rekindled my enthusiasm for SD, it also has gotten me thinking... why hasn't a Drafting Tournament been done for SD yet?

  7. ...This is what I got after I saved frame one as a 16-colour bitmap and touched it up a bit. Someone else could probably touch it up better than me, and actually make it look okay, but... I dunno. It just looks... wrong.
  8. Ah. I see. (Said the blind man...) Also: Does anyone have any suggestions for reducing an image to 16 colours besides Photoshop? I could download it, but it's HUGE. And that's something I'd like to avoid.
  9. Whoa, that many replies in a few hours? I'm honoured! And the reson I used black was because when I copied the spritesheet, it turned from clear into a black background. Thank you for the tips though! ...That explains why Xeld's demo thing has a green background... Also: For the background, do you mean while inserting?
  10. YO! This is where I post my sprites! As if you didn't already know the glorious and almighty me! First of all, look at my avatar! I did that! The only problem is that since it breaks the 16-colour barrier with that blindfold, I can't use it until I remake it without. Now, two spritesheets I did. Both should be included in a hack of mine, as soon as I figure out how in the world to insert them with Xeld's editor... Dual-wielding Mercenary. Probably done before, but hey. My wolf rider. Again, probably done before. Again, hey. I also think that I mistook the dodge frame for an attack frame... Anyways, that's all, folks!

  13. Alright, balance patch! Also: I've only text-edited a few names and the first... 1/4 of the first chapter, and most likely poorly. This is my next project, after the gameplay is done. I used the US version of Fire Emblem 7. The games starts on Eliwwod Normal Mode, so you'll need a save.   14. I can text edit relatively well, although it sometimes takes longer than I'd like. It's actually quite easy to learn how, with the Anti-Huffman patch. For reference, I'm pretty good at it if I do say so myself, and I've been editing for all of... a day, maybe?
  15. Are you waiting for the next chapter, or just expecting him to promote as soon as he reaches level 10? If it's the latter, you have to wait for the next chapter. If it's the former, then I have no idea what the problem is.

  19. Greetings, all. I am the All Mighty and Super Cool One, His Awesomeness Todas J. Miles III Or, in less modest terms, I am a complete greenhorn! Of course, a modest one such as me has no need for such un-modest statements. Now, to cut to the cheese chase. I am currently working on a Fire Emblem 7 ROM Hack set in an alternate universe. This ROM hack follows the events of the fabled "Tactician Wars", an event that happens every few hundred years. It includes along the way three tacticians, and a number of characters from an RP that I and several others roleplay on a different board. It is actually quite well developed. Stop chuckling. No, come back! ... Anyways. It is still in VERY basic stages; I haven't even finished editing the characters in yet. I have the first three scenes of text edited in, and it is surprisingly easier than I'd have thought. This is with Anti-Huffman, because as far as I know, Text Editing Suite could not handle this level of change. I've had a few glitches, mostly me forgetting a step or STILL trying to figure out a way around the female thing, but nothing that I can't handle. The female thing is, BTW, people like Rebecca and Serra staying female even after I have taken that little ability out. It's quite annyoing, because it is messing with my wants for who recruits who. I'm HOPING to increase the difficulty on ENM to that of at least HNM, or even HHM. It's just a bit time consuming. Actually, I have a question about that: I've ntoiced that in Nightmare, on the Chapter Unit editor, some people are shown multiple times, such as Zagan in Chapter 12. (I think that's the name...) Do I have to change ALL of these instances, or only the first, or certain ones? As it is, the game is looking heavily pushed in the 'Easy' direction. To give you an idea: Serryn is a Thief who replaces Dorcas in ENM. Against the Bandit that starts near the two (Alongside Serryn is Wuste, a Fighter with a +15 Crit bonus because the person who RPs him didn't like the Berserker sprite, and favored the Warrior sprite. Wuste is a Berserker in the RP.), the Bandit has 8 displayed hit, if Serryn is in the fort, I believe. I can't remember if it's the fort or not... Regardless, Serryn can solo the first, second, and third chapters with only his base stats and equipment; an Iron Sword and a Vulnerary. (The hack starts on ENM, so when I say Chapter 1, I mean Chapter 11.). He is way too overpowered, but Serryn in the RP is basically the fastest thing alive, and putting that into FE meant enormous Speed and Luck stats. Of course, he can be awesome without a base 18 or so Speed and 10 or so Luck, but this is what I mean when I say 'Balance Problems'. Anyways, I thank anyone who took the time to read this, and also to anyone who replies- helping or critisising.
