  1. Male: Takumi - I can't exactly pinpoint why I like Takumi so much. It might have started when I first heard about the #BlameTakumi before the game was even released internationally, since my immediate reaction then was to defend him. I greatly enjoy watching Takumi grow as a person and learn to trust me in Birthright, while it was painful for me to see him curse my name and eventually degrade into a monster in Conquest. Overall, I guess I see him as a very conflicted and believable character. He is also one of my best units game-play wise, as I can rely on him to deliver OHKOs and criticals (even when I don't want him to XD ).
(Runner-ups: Ryoma, Xander, Leo, Silas, Kaze, Jakob, Laslow)

Female: Azura - In some ways, the reason Azura is my favorite Fates character is the same as why Chrom is my favorite Awakening character: she is my most trusted ally and best friend, one who stays at my side no matter what I choose and respects those decisions. She is a character I know I can rely on emotionally, and is a great comforter whenever my avatar feels guilt or uncertainty. She opens up to me and my avatar to her, presenting a strong bond I don't personally feel with most other characters. I also have a thing for singers, with Azura (and her respective voice actresses) being one of the most beautiful I ever heard. I can easily say that "Lost in Thoughts All Alone" is one of my all-time favorite songs and among the few I took the time to memorize the full lyrics of (which, I'll admit, is not very hard for me and I consider myself to be a decent singer). The fact she is the dancer unit in Fates also helps, as I do have a fondness for dancer units, which I guess just shows I like musically-talented characters.
(Runner-ups: Hinoka, Camilla, Sakura, Elise, Scarlet, Oboro, Selena)

Avatar: Female - I'm a female who likes playing as female characters in video games. If a female avatar is an option, I almost always go for it. Plus I think it is really nice to have a strong female lead in a world of male dominates. (Why does none of the royal sisters have personalized legendary weapons?!) Female Avatar's only downside is that she can't marry Azura. Admittedly I have yet to play the game as a male Avatar; I need to do that in the near future, especially if I'm going to fill the entire support log.

Route: Revelation - Simply because I get both my Hoshidan and Nohrian family, and to me it feels like the "true ending" (and I don't want to pick sides again! >_<). I do like Birthright and everything it offers, and I thought Conquest had the best challenges and most heartbreaking story. But Revelation tops it all thanks to unit availability, it's happiest ending, and the tackling of the real conflict within their world (and I seem to be one of the few people who found interest in their "gimmicky" maps).

  2. Can you make auto-battle authomatic? What I mean is, without selecting it at the start of every player phase, just auto all the battle.

@jonson: No, you can't, which is honestly a good thing; how would you turn it off in the case that you end up needing to resume manual control of your units?

I think they were asking for grinding purposes, but you can always cancel Auto-battle by pressing X. And yes, Auto-battle must be activated again at the beginning of every player turn. You CAN turn off the confirmation in the options, though.

  3. I just got a Lucina amiibo in the 25th of July and a Robin amiibo in today from eBay. And I don't think I have asked this question, but I'm right at in Chapter 24 in Birthright and recruited Lucina in Corrin's army:

I know that Odin, Selena, and Laslow does have a VS. Quote if Lucina and Robin fought the three of them in Hero Battle, but if you have Lucina and Robin in Corrin's army fight against Odin, Laslow, and Selena in Birthright and Revelations as Enemy Units, do the three have a special VS. Quote if they encounter Lucina and Robin in the chapters that one of the three fights in the story line?

I'm pretty sure that amiibo units don't receive any special recognition outside of their hero battles, being that they're guest units. So in other words, no.

  4. That depends on what class you want to make Azura/Shigure. As a rule of thumb, both have bad MAG and low defensive stats while having incredible STR, SKL and SPD (Azura more so than Shigure), which tends to make them perform well as any class that can attack from range with physical attacks, like a Sniper or Master Ninja. Both of them also have growths suited fairly well towards a Swordmaster, looking kind of like Hana. Azura still has incredible utility as a Songstress, of course.

EDIT: If it's just about skills, Azura appreciates anything that helps out her paper-thin defenses, even just a little. Knight for Pavise, or Cavalier for Aegis are both good choices. Kinshi Knight's Amaterasu also synergizes excellently with her passive, but she has Sky Knight innately either way... However, the thing with skills is that you can just go online and buy them off someone's castle.

I was more asking what would be a good class to help patch Azura's flaws... I should have specified. XD But thanks!

  5. Thank you.

Perhaps I worded the first question oddly, so just for clarification...

In my Birthright copy, just Birthright cutscenes appear.

In my Conquest copy, both Birthright and Nohr cutscenes appear.

In my Revelation copy, Birhtright/Revelation cutscenes appear, not Conquest.

Maybe I will have to beat Conquest for them to appear? My friend has all 3 versions' cutscenes appear in her Revelation copy.

You must first beat that specific route before you can view its cutscenes on the other routes. So once you beat Conquest, you can view those cutscenes on your Revelation and Birthright files. The same applies to Revelation.

  6. I got an another question that I am not sure about this one:

1.) I did see the images of the boxart for the Japanese version of Fire Emblem Fates has it marked as CERO rating C and the Japanese version of Fire Emblem Awakening did have it as CERO rating B, but what elements and stuff did it brought in Fire Emblem Fates to raised it up to C rating by the way?

2.) If a father or a mother (besides the Royals) used the First Blood item, that won't pass it down the Dragon Vein to their child correct?

3.) I know that Awakening has a special class if a player removed the SD Card from the slot for the Dread Fighter and Bride that can be become Outrealm class, but is there a class exists if the player removes the SD Card for Fire Emblem Fates or it won't have one due to Fire Emblem Fates can use two DLC routes for Birthright or Conquest?

4.) By the way, can the Great Lord class still use a Lance since Awakening does uses Lances for the Great Lord class?

    2. Anankos seems to imply that a unit that uses the First Blood can pass it down to their children in Hidden Truths 2, but I have never tested this myself. Someone else should verify.

    4. Great Lords can use lances. The animation is nearly identical to them using a sword, though. :/

  7. I have a question about the Record Hall. I had buy the games in this order : BR -> Rev -> CQ. And, in my revelation file, I didn't have some of the conquest musics in the record hall. Did I have them when I'll upgrade the building at lvl 3 or did I need to finish Conquest before ?

Yes, you have to beat the route before its music can be accessed on the other routes. I tested this myself.

Is it possible for other people's my castles to have amiibo units serve in shops to buy the amiibo weapons?

You have to tap the amiibo again in order for them to work at a shop, so sadly I don't think so.

Ok, I have a question of my own, and this is a bit of an odd one. When I first checked my 3DS today, one person within a span of maybe 15 hours was able to visit (and battle) My Castle TWELVE times! I mean, I greatly appreciate all the battle points I'm getting from this person, but how on earth did he do this?!

  8. I see, thank you.

For the Avatar's personal skill, does it matter if the supporting unit is paired up or not? I can't tell if they need to be paired up or adjacent for the avatar's skill to work. Also, does only the avatar get the benefit? As in, does it not work the other way around?

The Avatar needs to be THE supporting unit in order for the skill to take affect. I'm not entirely sure how you think the skill works, but the skill grants the bonuses to the unit the Avatar is supporting, not the Avatar him/herself.

  9. 4. If you have the option to set Corrin as a female and have Jakob join early, does Jakob actually take Felicia's place in the story setting dialogue in the DLC Xenologue chapters such as Before Awakening, Boo Camp, and Ghostly Gold?

Yes, Jakob takes Felicia's spot in the dialogue when playing with a Female Corrin. The conversations are also slightly different.

  10. I've ripped the music from my own soundtrack and uploaded to my OneDrive so if anyone wants to download it, feel free :>

Note: The labelling is kind of all over the place so, there are some disks that unfortunately don't have the composers tagged because some CD rippers are dumb like that

Thank you so much! I've been looking for this since the soundtrack came out. Now I can listen to Fates on the go!

Curious about this song titled "Woleb Trap".

Does "Woleb" mean something? Is it significant?

    There's a backwards theme here:

-Spelling the title backwards gives something sort of coherent

-The song has a reversed percussion track (and maybe more?)

    Am I grasping at straws?

edit: I just looked at Disc 6. Most interesting. Disc 1 Track 5 is a trap. /shot

"Trap" is a typo. It's actually called "Woleb Tsap" and it is the reversed version of another song, "Past Below" (so yes, the title is backwards).

Now I can listen to Fates on the go!

  11. If a unit has both Lunge and Galeforce and defeats an enemy, what happens? Does Lunge take priority and then Galeforce activates?

I went to test this with Scarlet on my Birthright file (took a while to teach her Galeforce, lol).

Anyway, what happens in the game is that Galeforce activates and then the character immediately Lunges before you can move them for their second turn.

(And Galeforce still activates if the Lunge happens to place them next to another playable unit. They just need to kill the enemy unsupported.)

  12. Ok, so I want to fill the support log and recruit the children, but at the same time, I REALLY want to finish the Revelation route and story.

So what I'm wondering is: How hard is it to recruit all the children in Revelation post-game? Are there some children who become downright impossible after a certain point in the main story?

Besides Kana, I never recruited a single child unit in Fates, so I have no idea what most of the paralouges are like (besides that they scale with the game progress).

  13. No No No!! No need to spend your money on getting me a DS..but i SO appreciate the thought. I had one and I gave it to my nephew years ago. I think it's time for Auntie Rena to take it back from him :)

I promise to get one soon and play the game.

Well, have fun one you get a 3DS. Fates is an amazing game, and you'll enjoy every moment of it!

  14. Maybe answered this question for me.

I haven't played it yet, so I have nothing bad to say about it. But why would someone new to the series start off with a dlc story that strongly suggest that you play the other parts first?

Ha! That's what my little brother did: he jumped straight into Revelation without playing Birthright or Conquest. I wonder how much of the story he's missing, though...

(Admittedly he played some Awakening beforehand, so Revelation is not his first Fire Emblem game.)

  15. Wanted to ask here instead of making a new topic but, is there some kind of Calling Card generator? Ive seen some people with them in their sigs but I dont recall if any had a link to create your own.

I think that the calling cards you are seeing in people's sigs are them saving their ingame cards as screenshots to Miiverse. You can then access Miiverse on your computer and use the screenshots online.
