I also think Takumi's support with Felicia was awful. Poor Felicia...the only good supports I've read from her are with Leon, Flannel and Nishiki.
Then, I liked Takumi's supports with Aqua except for the S support...I don't know, it felt too weird for me.
What I'm curious about is how Takumi's support with Charlotte would go. I love both characters so I'm looking forward to reading it.
As regards his role in the story, I haven't played the game but I saw that, as Sunwoo said, he appears more than Ryoma. Is his role more important than Ryoma's in the games?

Archers are raaaad!! I usually love archers and dark mages. Haha, I liked Virion but not that much xP. My fave in Awakening is Henry.
Sniff, I want to pet Takumi but I have to wait until 2016!!! And I became addicted to TakuKamu art in pixiv. Happy to know he's also popular in Japan (or with those pixiv members at least)!!

I know how you feel. I don't really have a problem with Takumi/Kamui on principle; they aren't blood related and they didn't grow up together. But the whole sibling treatment that gets pushed so much weirds me out. He still refers to Kamui as sister in his freakin S-support and Confession. Damn you IS *shakes fist*
The pairing does make a certain amount of sense though: Kamui can have literally *everyone*, and they are all more than ready to throw themselves at her, so who does she go for? The one who stands out by not doing that stuff!
As for the other thing,
His support with Kisaragi is absolutely adorable, what with him being so damn insecure even with his own son. He obviously wants to be the best dad for him, but feels he can't live up to that. So then Kisaragi insists he should see himself in a better light, because he certainly thinks of Takumi as the best dad ever! And it's so so sweet. I don't understand why people dislike that support.
I KNOW RIGHT?! I mean, I'm still going to marry him when I get the game but god damnit why does japan love the whole "nii-san/nee-san" stuff like no dude, I'm your wife so stop calling me sister aaaah!! But yeah, out of all the sibling/not really siblings supports which then developed into romance, Leon's and Takumi's supports were my favorites because I felt they were the least forced ones, in my opinion, and actually really sweet and romantic. What's weird with the royal romance is that, for instance in the case of Marx, he says you're his wife but before he said he would support you as his brother so haha yeah WHY. All this aside, you're right; actually one of the reasons I loved Kamui with Takumi was because Takumi isn't "Kamuisexual" like other characters. Not saying the other characters are bad, I actually really really like them but just not as romantic partners.

Yes, gosh, the support is so sweet!!! From what I've read the "reasoning" for hating on Takumi in this case was because he was an "awful parent for envying his son". What parent/child relationship is perfect? If it was all happyness and roses from the start it wouldn't be believable. I mean, let's take Severa, for instance. She complained a lot to Cordelia for this and that but then you realize she was lonely as hell. I'm starting to think many people don't like characters with flaws when flaws are actually the most human part in a character...If there was no conflict, fiction would be boring as hell. No, wait. Even life would have no meaning if there weren't any conflicts. People grow and learn from their mistakes so that's another reason I love Takumi for. He feels guilty for envying his own son but then apologizes and his son is so freaking kind that he even cries for him because his father won't stop saying bad stuff about himself. Gosh, I rambled a lot here, sorry! The conclusion is that I really like Takumi and Kisaragi yay!!

Hehe, wow this thread has had a lot of replies really fast!! It makes me happy that so many people love this character. Takumi is really awesome.
As regards shipping, I like a lot of ships for him. Oboro seems a really good match for him because of the crush she has and I also find it adorable that she makes many of the clothes he wears (at least the support and her epilogue suggest this). Then, I don't know why but I find Takumi's supports with Setsuna (need I say why? she's adorable) and Camilla super cute (Camilla's teasing, oh my god, it's fantastic). And I'm sorry if this sounds weird but
I really really like him together with Kamui; they aren't related by blood so I don't have any issue with pairing them together and in my opinion they have one of the most romantic supports in the game.
Anyway, Takumi's rad and poor cinnamon roll doesn't deserve to suffer.
I've heard some people disliked his supports with Kisaragi because he envied his talent with the bow and this made him feel even less secure about himself but gosh this actually is a really human feeling. People aren't all good or all bad, there aren't perfect beings. And Kisaragi is an awesome son, man. When he told Takumi to "say he was awesome" because he didn't want his father to say bad stuff about himself I CAN'T EVEN. One of the best family supports I've read.

I like Takumi for being an interesting character with a very realistic initial reaction towards Kamui, and he just feels more believable in a way because his motivations are not Kamui-centric. He's not exactly "nice" and he's far from perfect, but that just makes him more believable because who the fuck is like that in real life? It gives him more of an opportunity to grow throughout the story and be relatable.
Also please don't tell me we're going to have a discussion thread for every character there's too much alreadyI think so too! Yeah, I'm glad his initial reaction towards Kamui is hostile not only because it feels more believable but also because it works a lot for his character development, in my opinion.

So I've seen some discussion threads of other characters and since there wasn't a Takumi one I decided to create one myself. To be completely honest, when the trailers came out and there was a big hype pre-game release I didn't pay much attention to him except for his design, which I really loved his ponytail is rad brah (I know some fire emblem fans don't like archers but I LOOOVE them). But now that I know more about him I find him incredibly interesting and love this character.
I don't know how much of it is a joke and how much isn't but Takumi seems to be a bit unpopular with some people because he doesn't like Kamui from the very start and/or due to some other circumstances that mainly have to do with the story. In my opinion, I think he's actually a very human character with all the self-insecurities he has and with the time it takes him to warm up to Kamui.
I also love his voice
yes yes I know many remember Yuuki Kaji for voicing Eren Jaeger but trust me, he has many different roles and is a very talented voice actor/seiyuuand think it fits him wonderfully.HIS SUPPORTS WITH LEON ARE GOLD (gosh I love Leon too).

Close. Except for 3 scenarios I mentioned in an earlier post both men and women have their endings as being all the same.
For example Camilla's ending is
His wife Camilla distanced herself from the rest of her family. She preferred to focus her attention solely on one person and that person was her husband.
And except for those 3 special scenarios (of which Camilla only qualifies for the "3rd route kamui marriage") that will be her ending. It doesn't matter if she marries, Ryōma, Joker, or Suzukaze that above line will be her ending.[/size]

The only Marxander ending I've seen translated is the Nohr married ending with Kamui:Now I'm really curious about Marxander and Ryoma's endings. Might have to go through Google translate and paraphrase them.

Duellwalzer, so then marriage endings are similar to Awakening ones in the sense that they are all the same for male characters and just vary the wives name (in Awakening what varied was the husband name), right?

(note: I didn't translate his solo end because I was struggling with it but I think the jist of it was that ruling the kitsune seems to have a "move your feet lose your seat" rule and that when he returned he didn't get to automatically become ruler again. His marriage support seems to confirm this.)

Sakura- Affectionate Miko[/size]
After Ryōma was crowned she remained in the royal palace and helped support the royal council. As she grew up she became a woman reminiscent of the lake Queen Mikoto and healed the hearts of the subjects after the war. She was said to become the heart of Hoshido.

Saizō - Bearer of Flame (????)[/size]
There is no official records of what happened to Saizō after the war. It is not believed that he left the country. It is believed that, for the sake of the Hoshido royal family, he delved back into the shadows to work as a ninja.

He continued to serve Prince Takumi after the war and assisted him in the reconstruction of Hoshido. However his enthusiasm for swordsmanship did not fade.[/size]

After the war she returned to the palace to resume her duties as Princess Hinoka's retainer. Her spacey personality did not change.She left behind no major achievements but was content with life.

As Takumi's retainer she helped work on the restoration of Hoshido during which time she also restored her parents draper business. Her stylish kimonos were popular all around the country.[/size]

Asura - The bandit who threw away his name
Birthright, Conquest, or 3rd Route Solo End
With the help of the new Hoshidan government Asura began rebuilding the Kouga principality. Slowly the citizens of Kogua began to return and the former glory of the principality was restored.
Due to his past as a thief he was reluctant but with the support of the citizens he became the leader/ruler of Kogua
Birthright or Conquest Married to Kamui (his only possible spouse) End
The husband Asura, with the help of the new Hoshidan government, because to rebuild the Kogua principality. He finally achieved his dream of restoring the principality many years later. His wife, Kamui, always accompanied him as his trusted adviser.
3rd Route Married to Kamui End
As the new queen of Touma, Kamui brought forth the dawn of a new peaceful era. In addition to supporting his wife's reign. Asura worked on the restoration of the Kogua principality to fulfill his dream.
Before you abandon all hope at the 3rd route endings being interesting keep in mind that Asura is one of those minor "can only support with Kamui" allies so there is hope other characters will have more interesting variations.
The bits that are underlined are female Kamui's generic lines in her marriage endings. Anyone who wants to use them to shave off a little time translation wise if free to do so.

I thought Henry was at least 17.Hmmm weird.
I know I read it somewhere, I don't really remember. But I think Henry is around 16 years old. He is one of the youngest in Awakening.
EDIT: Found it! I read it here, from a huge Henry fan http://amielleon.tumblr.com/post/55183299996/aviva0017-replied-to-your-post-curiosity-how. It's not canon (the only canon ages are Emm's, Lissa's and Chrom's) but Henry IS a boy/young man so he's got to be in the 15-17 range.
But anyway, back to the topic in Fe Fates, there are actually some supports where the characters don't exactly marry each other but promise to do so in the future.

Henry was that young? To be honest I was pretty terrible at judging the ages of awakening characters though. For ages I thought that Donnel was like 19, until I read his support with Lissa and she said he was younger than her.
Yeah, Ricken was the youngest. Then came Donnel, then Lissa and Henry. Though I don't remember if Henry was the same age as Lissa or an year older.

Well we don't actually know his exact age, same as we don't know any other character's exact age, but I'm pretty sure several of his supports strongly indicate that he's a teen at most. Like Azz01 said, 16 is the absolute oldest I would place him at, most likely 14.
14-15...yeah, I think so too. But that would be around Henry's age, whom I married in Awakening, so in my case I wouldn't have any problems marrying him to another character (or my unit, in one of the save files). Plus I love Shara so...fufu.
