  1. Ya' all collector only guys are bafflingly blind to the game's actual landscape nowadays. Back in Set 1 to 3 with parts of 4 yes popularity and the like pushed most of the things there, but while that is very much important to the game it has progressed to actually take gameplay-focused decitions; while you look at the cards by how pretty they are in the binders you forget they actually do things in the game, because this is a cardgame, and in this effects they have been working to fix and balance the issues that sprouted form said early sets alongside doing what they can to keep the game fun and interesting to people who PLAY IT. This means that, between other things, they will NOT just abandon a color. As more colors appear it'll logically mean the space between releases of certain colors will come more and more apart (A whole year since the last Blue set by example), but they are still going to get more cards a far a the game keeps releasing sets and time goes on; and as more sets release more characters will begin to be added. While the most popular ones are going to take priority for obvious reasons as the collector market of Cipher is an extremely huge driving force (Cipher in a year and a half already has the higuest overall art budget of all the japanese TCGs I'm aware of easily displayed in it's quantity, quality and variety) the game has been able to evolve into having an actual spot as a game rather than just a bunch of cards with pretty things on them. In short: Yeah you goddamn favorite character is going to get an art EVENTUALLY, you just stay sit because the game is starting to become busy being a game and not jsut an excuse for you to egt art of characters which by proxy means colors won't get abandoned simply because they aren't popular or they are too old. The only thing with a chance of being abandoned is TMS as far as they don't get a sequel, and even then as far as the game lives on they'll get support simply by cards appearing due to how the game works.
  2. There shouldn't be a new ST as there's not a new color being featured nor an special gimmick like in TMS' case. If yo uwant to ballpark an ST for an already existing color at least go for Blue in Set8.
  3. That's not a Bolt Axe what are you even talking about, magic weapons get the 1-2 to begin with which makes it obvious that isn't part of the effect even less the art. Revenant Knight in a fine class for a physical unit, smae STR growths as Wyver Lord but with changes in defences to get an actual RES growth.
  4. Red has the worse fliers in the game with the sole exeption of Shiida4, which is usefull only in Red to begin with.
  5. IS while clearly taking popularity into considerations in notably taking gameplay into it too unlike certain other cardgames nowadays cofcofVangaurdcofcoftwoyearswithoutasinglecardofsupportforsomearquetypescofcof, meaning that after certain ammounts of time every game will get more cards, Fates is clearly taking some priority due to being the new game but it also suffers from not being that great due to them pushing to have too many characters but too litte actual focus into cards, now they can actually focus in a theme and making actually valuable cards rather than puting as many characters as they can due to most characters already being covered. The first three sets where a mix of "we need more colors" and "Fates is all the rage", even then it'd be a good idea to see the current standings: 1-Two new Colors due to launch (These being Archanea and Ylisse as tehy are the more well known ones) 2-Two new Colors due to launch and newest game (Taking advantage of it releasing two games) 3-New Color and support latest new colors (These beign Fates due to newest game (Technically counting as new game in the Cipher lineup too due to it being Revelations) along introducing Tellius) 4-Support for existing older colors that needed it (as they had less cards than Fates due to the White/Black splash, they also featured TMS due to it's recent release) 5-Support for the latest new color and a new one (Tellius getting it's support here getting up to par with the others and introduces Elibe) 6-Support for an older color that needs it and a new one (This making Black (Via Revelations) up and higuer than the rest and introduces Jugdral) 7-Support for the previous latest new color and for an older one that needs it (This bringing White (Via Revelations) up and higuer than the rest alongside support for Elibe) 8-Support for the previous latest new color and for an older one that needs it (This bringing Blue up and higuer than the rest and supporting Jugdral) From this which I hope you could understand (I'm iffy on the phracing), we can see that their priority is to keep card numbers as equal as possible even if they stick to their themes. Based off this I'd like to call that Set9 should bring more support for Archanea (aka Red) alongside a new Color, with Set10 being new color again alongside Tellius support, depending on Set9. Set11 would very likely be Set9s New Color support and Elibe with 12 being Set10s new Color and Jugdral. From here on out we are on mystery territory, on top of the fact that we are very likely to be getting announcement of a new mainline game here. Mobile, if it even gets original characters, will be mixed in other colors much like TMS. Set8 is extremely likely to be focused on SecondGen for Blue and Yellow, but due to Blue already being a mishmash there's going to be a few first gens as they wanted to appeal to all the Awankening fans to call attention to the game unlike the case with Yellow which can properly focus on it's themes.
  6. Well, as I mentioned a lot of names are corrupted when passed to japanese. Refer to this: https://web.archive.org/web/20020606191800/http://ww5.tiki.ne.jp/~shihan/spell/seisen.htm It is a matter of fact every name used in FE4 is just Kaga wanting to have cool references for the japanese audiences, so looming over them for matters of meanings is useless if you ask me. As per the NoA/NoE names, well, send a letter complaining to them. We just use the oficial names because those are the names most people know due to playing the games or the best translation available and thus are familiar with said names..
  7. That is in fact the case, as far as a card with the name of said unit is deployed in the field you can pay the class change cost to deploy it on top of said unit and draw a card.
  8. 1st priority goes to NoA and NoE, as they are the official ones, for this we simply use the one that we like the most (See Shiida and Navarre both being used). 2nd priority would be Project Naga's as that's the patch everyone should be playing nowadays and thus they would get used and be familiar with those names (Note it uses the oficial names too, so it doesn't fight with the first one). The problem with the NoJ names is that in a good number of cases they are a mess to pronounce or are heavily corrupted once they where written in Japanese and a few even aren't even names, this type of reasons are why they where changed in Project Naga anyways which is why I'd take them over the JP ones.
  9. It... honestly doesn't, sounds like those ''American'' characters trying to sound super hammy in anime. It's just an unnecesarely convoluted way to name a small icon no one's going to call by it's name outside of the wiki anyways, so no need to think too much about it.
  10. Well, now is as good of a time as ever to play FE4, with Project Naga and everything.
  11. White and Black are honestly pretty lacking on their own anyways, getting more cards should help them, not to mention getting MC worty cards taht aren't Corrins would be a nice change over there. The other color in their situation is Blue I'd say, but that's neither here or there.
  12. Not particularly, but a lot of people like her and her Cost3 is solid enough so she gets a lot of representation which ends in her forcing her way to wining eventually. She's never been particularly terrible, but rather lacks field presense unlike just about any other relevant MC. Mia is simply... an extremely honest main character to play, there's no tricks to what she does, nothing special about her yet her effects are by all means fairly solid but as I said doesn't make you fear her getting promoted, even her LvS4 as it takes a bit and you can work your ways around it.
  13. Well, the thing with Emma is that by all means she looks like Pegasus Knight, and a fairly standar one at that overall, but her thing is that her ribbon is very distinctive compared to pre-FE13 Peg. Knight accesories which where always either a simple headband or just a string (or whoever you call those things) to hold their ponytail if they even have an accesory to begin with. Emma on the other hand has her ribbon, which easily catches the eye compared to the previously mentioned ones due to it being red on top of the aforementioned points and was probably selected to accentuate the fact that she's very young due to ribbons being seen as something young girls wear, like, she's literally 14 they said it. Shade is, well, she's literally everything a post FE13 dark mage and blatantly from FE14 to the ninth degree, you could slap her into the game and no one would bat an eye. With her headpiece that fact is going to pursue her wherever game she gets in. Yuzu is interesting, while her head accesory is pretty distinctive it's nowhere as bad as Shade's. Along this she was placed in an interesting spot due to her classes and how her gender is generally presented in older FEs in said classes assuming they are even there at all. Yes she's just myrmidon girl at base and first promotion and looks standar, of the serious face variety alongside Fir, Marissa and Athena. But things get interesting when she starts to go to other classes. This far she has only been out of her class in her Red cards, Sniper and Hero, the first only having female representation in the Archanean characters via Kleine in FE12 and she's an enemy (alongside her only arts being fairly elusive) and Norne which only has art as an Archer in FE11/12 where she joined the ranks. The point here being that we simply don't know how a female Sniper looks in Archanea very well. The second is even worse as there's not even a female Mercenary in those games at all to begin with, even less a Hero; which ends in us simply not knowing how a female one is suposed to look at all. In other words, Yuzu's two reclasses look outlandish to us because there's simply not much of a point of reference outside of the sprites which don't give anywhere as much as 3D models at all (ignore Tellius map models lmao) so the artists end having to take a number of liberties while keeping some distinctive points on her attires becauase, well, it is Yuzu and not some rando. Speaking of, Rando... he's just Jugdral man let's be real here, he has the hair, he has the color, he's a goddamn cavalier, he has a good part of the Jugdral face. The only thing that sets him outside of that place is his poped up collar with a pattern and that I'm going to assume he's from Elibe. but he's just Jugdral man, you could translate his face into an FE4 sprite, hack it into some random boss, and no one would bat an eye.
