That's all well and good, but that doesn't answer my question at all. My question was, and still is; will I be able to download the other path as dlc, and patch that as well? Or will I have to buy the entire other game? I don't even know what this "e shop version" or the "cia version" that you keep mentioning is. Again, it'll probably work just fine, but I just wanted to ask just to be 100% sure. I did not order a Japanese 3DS because I was told that the patch would work fine on any 3DS, so long as the version is below 9.2.

I just thought of something. Since I ordered FE Fates: Conquest, I should be able to download Birthright and patch that as well, right? After all, the patch magically makes the game compatible with 3DS versions outside of Japan (which is awesome, btw!). It shouldn't be a problem, I trust this community. Someone would have warned me beforehand if I had to get the special edition for both sides to work properly, and I didn't see anyone else run into that problem. But I would like to make sure, just to be on the safe side.

If your getting a New 3DS you will need a gateway card, or cubic ninja. However, if your getting an old 3DS, you can use some free software to dump the game. Ether way, you don't actually need a Japanese 3DS. I don't know how it works exactly, but everyone says that all three methods work fine on any 3DS (as long as the version is below 9.2!). Make sure BEFORE you buy the 3DS that it's below version 9.2!!! I'm not one of the developers, I'm just going off of what the other people in this exact forum have told me. They've been so helpful to me, i'm just glad that I could help someone else out for a change. :D

I love this community, you guys are working so hard to translate the game! I for one, will definitely be sharing any errors I find once I get the patch up and running. But there's one thing I would like to know beforehand; if someone else points out an error, and you fix it, will the fix be applied to the download? Or will the download still contain all of the errors that people have already pointed out? I just want to know this so I don't end up pointing out errors that have already been fixed. (assuming I would be able to spot the errors in the first place. xD)

Sorry to keep asking questions, but I couldn't help reading "Regionfree plugin needed" under your "How to play it on my 3DS" section. I've been asking around for a while, I thought I had everything all set. I ordered the game, a 3DS with the correct version, everything! But whats this Regionfree plugin? No one mentioned this! I even asked if I would need to buy a Japanese 3DS and someone replied saying that it would work just fine on any 3DS, as long as the version is below 9.2. I remember that distinctly!

So as of right now, the cutscenes are in full Japanese? That's fine, you guys are already doing so much work, it's insane! I'm sure i'll be able to figure out whats going on. Keep up the good work!

I just had a thought. What will you guys do for the cinematic cutscenes? As far as I know, they are only voice acted. Will you add subtitles, or just leave them as is? Just wondering.

Okay, so your saying that I can't revert the version by any normal means? Surely I could just buy a brand new one that hasn't been updated, right? Also, would it have to be a Japanese 3DS in order to play FE14?

So, I've been asking around and I think I know what I need for this to work. I just want someone to confirm that this is, indeed, what I need to do. 1: Get a Japanese 3DS (not a New 3DS.) and format the system back to the factory version. 2: get a Japanese copy of Fire Emblem Fates, Conquest or Bloodties doesn't matter. 3: format an SD card. 4: Download rxTools on to said SD card. 5: Insert SD card to the Jappanese 3DS and install rxTools. 6: Look up on youtube "how to dump a 3DS game useing rxTools" and do it. 7:Insert the SD card into my pc once more to download the translation patch onto it. 8: insert the SD card back into the 3DS. 9: Run the game and... Profit. Was that correct? Please let me know if I got something wrong. I REALLY want to plan this out before I start spending money the requirements.

I tried following the readme, but you must understand, I have never hacked or modded a 3DS before. What I'm asking is for someone to tell me (In a beginner friendly way) exactly what I need, how to get those things, and how to install the patch itself. I would also like to know if any of the requirements (Besides the system and game itself) cost money. I think a detailed tutorial would not only help me, but other people in the same situation as myself, as I could not find one anywhere else on the internet. I really hope someone see this, I've been looking into this for hours now and I'm sick of not finding anything helpful.
