everyone has a base growth that can't change. then you add class growths, which you can change

In Heirs of Fate 6, do the ninja brothers have Lethality?
they have Shurikenfaire, Locktouch, and Poison

whenever you lvl, the game checks if you missed any skills, including in a lower tier. if you did, it'll learn it. so if you are a Lvl 5 Dark Mage, go to Witch, Lvl to 35, then reclass back to Sorc, you'll be Lvl 15. at 16, you'll learn the Dark Mage Lvl 10 skill, then at 17, you'll learn Sorc Lvl 5, then at 18, Sorc Lvl 15. and earlier skills take priority over current lvl skills. so if you went Witch to Sorc at Lvl 34 instead to be Lvl 14 Sorc, you won't learn the Lvl 15 skill at Lvl 15, but the Lvl 10 Dark Mage skill first
-
it'd depend on the unit's class if they want to reclass earlier or later for skills. Witch itself doesn't have anything really interesting except Warp.
earlier is better if there's no skills you want in the unit's base class line since Witch has Tier 2 lvl base stats (and even then, you could always buy the skills instead). if you use it on a tier 1 and go from Lvl 20 to 21, you save 1 Master Seal, too.
Witch has the highest Mag growth (tied with Sorc) so waiting will never make you stronger. Witch also has 20 Spd growth so that's a great boon. ofc, Witch is a glass cannon so...

not sure what you're asking. what else would the DLC extra slots be for? and are you referring to an Avatar recruited from another file or the Avatar? for the former, that never speaks, like any other Einherjar unit
-
just curious, why was marrying Anna a problem and why switch to Rinkah?
-
EDIT: misread. in my head it corrected to base growths, considering the opening statements and thread title. but I guess no? what gets inherited is based on total stat gains from lvl ups. it'd be very convoluted and complicated to keep track of what stat gains were from one thing or another. how would that even work?
also, fire emblem wikia? they also stated it excludes Avatar's growths
fire emblem wiki? that didn't even list growths o_o
which page?

no, she was supposed to get Sky Knight. Azura checks Subaki's base class. sees Sky Knight. checks if it's the same as her base, Songstress. it's not. so she keeps it.
Subaki checks Azura's base class. sees special class so checks secondary. sees Sky Knight. compares to self and sees the same. so he'll inherit Wyvern as the cross campaign counterpart (iirc)
similar things with other special units, Avatar, and the beast units
the only class inheritance that's guaranteed are children inheritance from parents. Heart, Partner, and Buddy Seals are less guaranteed (even more so, the only class uninheritable is Songstress. Nohr Prince(ss) and beast classes are inheritable by children from parents). other examples of no gains:
Takumi gets nothing (new) from Oboro while Oboro would get Archer
Sakura gets nothing from Azura while Azura gets Shrine Maiden (so Sakura would never A+ Azura but Azura might A+ Sakura). same with Sakura and Hinoka. (meaning Sakura's only meaningful A+ is Hana in Birthright and also Elise in Revelation)
Niles and Nyx do no get anything from each other at all
-
I'm curious at least. and maybe there's a more concise conclusion (vs all this arbitrary rounding)
-
does seem needlessly convoluted (though Fates's supposedly new RN system isn't exactly that clear cut either). you made sure to compare against Awakening's system? and pretty sure it breaks away from that?
-
Ok, two problems here.
One, Velouria does not pass down Wolfskin. Special classes - kitsune, wolfskin, songstress, nohr prince(ss) - are not hereditary, and the only way for a character to get them is to start their life as one. Selkie and Velouria start as their father's special class, but even if they mother Kana, Kana still starts as Nohr Princess.
Second, the class that Velouria -does- pass down is Fighter, so you can still get your berserker Kana that way.
except Wolfskin, Kitsune, and Nohr Prince(ss) are hereditary. Singer is not, yes.

Yeah, I think you're stuck with either having F!Corrin as her mother or marrying her with M!Corrin. Alternatively, I think she can also get it via Friendship Seal if she has an A Support with a F!Corrin that isn't her mother.
no one can gain Classes from Avatar via Buddy.

don't forget to include other bonuses
Swordmaster: +10 Crit/Avoid
Lodestar: +10 Hit/Avoid, +5 Crit
-
you could start with the same classes

I have three inquiries, two of them being fairly short.
I have completed Birthright and am fairly close to completing Conquest (and on my way to starting Revelations).
When playing Birthright, I had no idea that Revelations featured almost all characters from both Birthright and Conquest, so I put hours and hours into Birthright maxing all of my characters and having children, and maxing them. I'm sort of frustrated knowing I could have simply done so in Revelations.
1) I have taken interest in the Unit Logbook. Let's say in Birthright, I put my Saizo on the Unit Logbook, and in Revelations, I recruit that Birthright Saizo. Will that Saizo take the place of the Revelations Saizo? If not, will I be able to do Support or have children with him? How does he differ from a regular Unit? I just hate to see my training go to waste.
2) How does recruiting my Avatar Unit via Unit Logbook work?
3) After Conquest, if I do not purchase DLC... am I sort of just stuck, with no grinding to do? That's what I have read.
1) it'll be a separate Einherjar, so no supports. normal Saizo still recruitable separately
2) same as other units.
1&2) you can still buy skills for them at least so it's not a complete waste. Avatar can buy skills from either gender (not applicable with Kana)
3) correct. you can always grind supports. but no lvls and thus no skills either
-
I reclass her to Dread Fighter instantly all the time and grind her 5+ lvls in her own Paralogue
-
no, they are not. refer to Revelations or Hidden Truths DLC for details
-
Also go to an end game conquest castle and you can buy the staff unless your broke
you can't buy limited stock items from other shops
-
The weapon advantage, isn't there a 3 damage boost when there's a weapon advantage?
http://serenesforest.net/awakening/miscellaneous/calculations/
Fates uses Awakening calculations. WTA = Weapon Triangle Advantage, which is only +1 at your weapon Rank
-
Hmm that's weird resetting my DS seems to have fixed the issue except now there's only 3 damage missing from weapon advantage
Here's screen shots so you can explain if I'm missing anything
-faire are not included in Attack. so, 38 Str +1 B/C Rank Bonus +7 Mt = 46 Atk
46 Atk - 10 Def + 5 Lancefaire + 1 B? WTA Bonus = 42 dmg
what is missing?
going other way:
36 Atk - 17 Res - 1 WTD - 1 Rank Bonus Negated = 17 dmg
-
goes back to Manaketes as well as Taguels. no real reason
-
Or as I like to call it, scan the map to see who has Counter.
then add instant move reinforcements to that and have fun. it's still an undo burden since non-players can afford to suicide. the fact that its the only skill that demands so much of your attention just tells you its not balanced
-
1. Is it possible to capture enemy Kitsune and Wolfskin?
2. If so, is there any place in Revelation that they show up as regular units and not invaders?
1. no
2. no
-
Setsuna!Selkie makes an effective mage killer.
but Selkie already has way more Spd than she needs and has less Str then her father (who already has meh Str). Setsuna's gonna absolutely wreck her Str growth

no. they're the exact same. I mean, all exp and equipped weapon is shared/kept the same, too
