  1. Nos works fine if the unit using it has a real def stat, its not awakening nos but its still a high damage sol every round of combat and with the new dual gaurd system giving completely free healing at a predictable pace its completely reliable even on lategame lunatic.

it can't crit, double or use offensive skills, without huge bage magic you won't do much. Also vs maxed-stat units this will be even worse.

  2. I dont get the odwain hate, he has actual nostank stats, is an early join, all his flaws can be covered by his fast supports, and thanks to the nature of fates!nos/pairup he and his chosen waifu don't actually eat any of the combat exp you want to feed your sweeper units despite being permanent frontlners and will consistently promote at 19/20ish around ch13/14 despite eating few to no actual kills (or ever actually fighting.outside of a rare killshark in his waifu's case)

He's effectively free even on lunatic outside of the admittedly stiff 4k you need to up front on his preferred tome (but thats not a problem if you 3 village) and really never falls off outside of not doubling but you dont actually need to double to be a good unit in this game and with his spastic critrate and the fixed rng its not like he suffers from a lack of orko ability when he needs it.

Mostly because nosferatu don't work that well anymore. He's bad Story-wise but for min-maxing he can be one of the best mages i belive (from parents at least)

  3. Well Mozu as also good anty-mage, use on her paralogue dreadfighter seal (on lvl 1) and give her few kills, you're set with her.

Imo Azama is worth training, but if you'll reclass him right after recruit (dread fighter is going again there)

Well on Hoshido if you want a mage, Hayato might work with training, he actually can double unlike Orochi without tonics, i also heard Hayato makes great oni chieftain,

Oboro on Hoshido is really important imo, she's one of the best tanks you'll get (right with Hinoka), Also Hinoka can reclass for lance fighter which is nice,

I wouldn't even care about Orochi on Hoshido, Setsuna (even if i love her) doesn't have good growths as well, Rinkah is only good guard-stance fodder, also Setsuna is ok guard-stance fodder for slow units like Hinata.

On Nohr i've heard story-wise Odin isn't that great, basically any mage than Leo isn't great, but if you want to choose other mage than Leo then i would suggest Elise or Nyx.

Charlotte is like Rinkah, mainly good guard-stance fodder (mostly preffered for Xander by most of people)

Benoit isn't worth for sure, but Effie is, you have her from the very start and on chapter you'll get Benny(Benoit) he'll be underleveled comparing to the Effie, also Effie have better passive to OHKOing.

Arthur is guard-stance fodder as well, Effie!Arthur can do most of the job, you might want to have this pairing if you want Effie to destroy EVERYTHING on her way.

That's all i think? Maybe not? dunno. :s

  4. I brought Elise all the way to level 20 before promotion, and I wasn't even halfway in the game when that happened. Given Lunatic Nohr's limitations, healers have a better time levelling up than combatants. She was also one of the earliest units to promote in my Nohr run.

it depends how much you actually use healers, i know person that barely use healers like, you have 2 less hp? won't heal for addtional exp but when unit was REALLY hurt so healers was preety last to promote LOL

  5. I think the skill 'Replicate' is definitely a skill that is like Galeforce. You literally clone the unit who has the skill, and both the original unit and the puppet can move at the same time each turn.

Don't forget that both puppet and user share HP, if one will get hit, other will take damage as well, if puppet die, user die as well.

  6. Well about sakura, if you want ot use her as combat unit story-wise it's good idea to fast promote her, or use on her ebon wing for dark flier.
If you want to focus on healing at 20 lvl.
Sakura have good power as Exorcist because of her high Mag, but as someone was tiping in one of my topics War priestess is better in general but have only 2 might less than exorcist in many ways.
story wise? Definitely exorcist (at lvl 10 if you want her combating), if you're intresting in better late/aftergame Priestess is way to go.

  7. Don't waste your time giving Rinka levels. Her growths suck and there is a high chance that she'll be RNG screwed, in any case. Arthur is also horrible, don't bother with him unless you like him for some reason. Charlotte comes underleveled and her stats aren't really worth the babying around in a map where she struggles to hit things, so I also don't recommend bothering with her unless for pair-ups.

Some units also suck in comparisson to others of the same class that come 1-3 chapters later, such as Subaki in comparisson to Hinoka, Odin in comparisson to Nyx and arguably Kazahana in comparisson to Hinata. Use them only if you really like the characters, I suppose.

Dragonstones are your friend. You can tank as well as a Knight with it and dish out a lot of damage in return.

Remember the passive skills that buff your other units, like Demoiselle and Jakob/Felicia's inate skill. With them, the chances of your units surviving an enemy phase become higher.

On Conquest, if there is no item that you require with urgency, it is usually better not to buy it. Don't spend your money freely on Conquest.

Don't try to minmax, thinking that you can make one unit overpowered and beat chapters easily with a small team of elite units. EXP in this game works differently from the other games, making the EXP gain on units that are 2+ levels higher than the enemies almost abysmal. Balancing out EXP and levels is usually more effective, especially on Lunatic (where the exp gain is even less than usual).

Hana comparision to Hinata? well sure for tanking you can't take Hana, but Hana will actually doubly enemy without special weapons or support.

Hana is glass canon, Hinata is tank, how can you compare them? They both are good in diffrent ways.

Also it's like compare Azama to Sakura, Azama doesn't have mag. growth so comparing him to Sakura as Healer obviously will loose but when you will use him as offensive unit (aka dread fighter) he can be compared to the other assasins.

Every character have it's strenght and it's weakness, some characters you can't compare, it's just wrong imo.

  8. Well, Azura works well at great-lord if you won't sing with her much.
Lodestar? No idea, even Lobster would benefit from it but he have already trueblade, Maybe Hinata? He needs speed tho.
It's really your choice, there are alot of characters which will benefit from those.

  9. Well Azama and his daughter are stricte physical so they benefit from Dread fighter more than thier priest class. (early promoted Azama rape everything, like Mozu)

DF wings? If you want to have good mage in Hoshido, give it to Sakura how fast you can, she's best mage you'll get in this route (get on that those seals you can use before lvl 10)

  10. It's really hard to get her kills with her tiny strength stat though. It's kinda like arguing that training Wolt is a better idea than waiting for Klein in FE6 - there's too much headache involved in bringing Felicia up even with extreme favouritism. There's no doubt that shurikens' debuffs are helpful and that a healer is nice (especially early on in Revelation or Conquest), but wouldn't you rather have a mean ORKO machine that Jakob represents in himself?

That's what i'm talking about, She don't really need much kills in early tho, all you want to do is get her C rank shurikens, after getting explosive she'll kill most of enemy anyway.

You're getting weapon prof. by just fighting, not killing right? Jakob is loosing his strenght on Late, he won't be really able to one shot anyone but at this point you have other units to do so. It's all personal preference.

I prefer Felicia because he's better healer (i like to use 2 healers) and she have damage after C Shurikens which is just right after her D start.

  11. You don't really get Flame Shurikens until the midgame though, so it would be more sensible for Felicia to join around that time.

But it's all about growths, I'm preety sure when you're getting her lvl you will almost always have better mag. than she joined at chapter 16.

Also that's why i said Jakob have better early, in early he's doing more damage but on mid/late Felicia wins, Explosive shuriken destroy everything also she have much better healing than Jakob, in general she end up better as Maid than Jakob as Butler. (Jakob should be reclasses as fast he can for something better physically)

  12. you're forgotting that Felicia main strenght is Explosive Shurikens which you can get in both Conquest and Brightright. She's Mag. based. Unlike Joker she won't do that much with normal shurikens (Joker is str based, so he have better early as well) But as battle units Felicia ends better after hitting C rank with weapon, her Explosive shuriken destroy every ass in the way.

  13. One best mage in Hoshido is fast promoted Sakura, promote her at lvl 10 and there you go!

Hayato have bad lvl/bases, Orochi -2 spd 30% spd growth isn't good. Sakura join fast, you can get her lvl 10 fast as well, promote isn't hard to do as well. Izana is fine, however he's kinda late in-game which sucks.

  14. People will tell you to Reclass Camilla to Wyvern Lord ASAP, but I'd suggest sticking it out in Malig until Lv.15 for the skill Trample. It adds +5 damage to units without mounts, which is every Hoshidan unit but Sky Knights and maybe Mechanists.

I somehow like Camilla growths as Rev more~ They're better all-rounded up imo.
