  1. I intially wanted to branch out and cover characters from games I haven't played....and decided that I don't know what to do.

So, decided to go with the Awakening conqueror who would have been an alright "Lu Bu-esque" enemy. Emperor Walhart of Valm.

    Spoiler

Moveset: Plays similar to a buffed up Great Knight (both Frederick/Three Hopes). However, some of his charges will have him use different weapons. Like Sol as his C2 or a Spear thrown as his C4.

Exclusive WeaponWolf Berg - Massively increases the range of Walhart's attack.

Musou: Valm's Glory - With Wolf Berg in one hand, and Sol (Sword) in another, Walhart slowly moves forward on his horse. He does two wide slashes, first with Sol lifting the enemy and another with Wolf Berg. He then thrust with Sol before charging up Wolf Berg for a massive throw into the ground, rupturing it.

Unique Action: Dominance - Attacking fills the Unique Ability Gauge. When the gauge is full, press ZR to temporarily buff Walhart's attacks, allowing him to ignore any weapon effectiveness against him.

Unique Support: Overpower - When HP is at 60%/70%/80% or below: has a 60%/70%/80% chance to break the enemy's guard with any attack.

Unique Tactical: Subjugation - When ordered to seize: reduces damage received from enemies by 30%.

    Notable

    • Conqueror, his unique class, will have his exclusive Conquest skill. Negates the users' armor and beast weakness.
    • Everytime he uses Sol in one of his charge attacks or when it appears in his musou. He has a chance to recover HP based on the Sol skill.

Outfits: Alm's Overlord colors, Risen zombie form (alas Chrom's Risen King).

Trying to find the right balance was difficult, I accidently gave him a another Awakening gauge with his Unique Action so I tried to make it a bit more defensive although it is still a buff button. I have no idea for Unique Support, just anything that would allow him to break through guards was the idea.

  2. Thanks for your efforts BloodRonin.

    Spoiler

Nel's Resist Emblems seems a bit disappointing for a class skill. I feel like you only come under heavy Emblem attack during Chapter 11 and beyond. I guess it can't all be winners. Might be helpful for anyone playing Outrealm Trials where Emblem Attacks will be everywhere but then people there might prefer Nel to be in a better combat class. Protective being dependent on Rafal is also kinda limiting but I guess that's one way to use them together. Very risky during the Xenologue but with Rafal's having buffed stats compared to when he was "Nil", it's much eaiser to activate it in the main game.

Rafal seems much eaiser to use. Assuming his build isn't too terrible, he comes with the better weapon type and even stronger breath if it continues to go off strength. Wounded Pride is easy to activate and Spur Emblems is helpful for those who have exhausted their Engage gauge. Btw, while I don't think the skill effect changed, but did Wounded Pride have a name change when he joined as Rafal?

Zelestia's Friendy Boost is wonderful, some won't need the hit boost as much but it is still greatly helpful for those that do.

Madeline's Knightly Code is pretty fitting for a General. Could probably work to stack with Great Knight's Allied Defense.

Gregory's Survival Plan will be interesting to play around. Three spaces is alot, not sure if his base 13 speed will be enough to make that 20 avoid work.

Yeah I've heard about Nil not joining (a real shame) from the datamine we know 5 new characters will join though. Three from the 4 winds, Nel and someone called Raphale... he could also be a dragon but he wasn't shown in the trailer

    Spoiler

People are speculating that Rafale could be Nil under a new name (perhaps his real one) or an alternate universe of Veyle.

I wonder what the personal skills of the new units will be.

My initial guess for Nel based on the Japanese name of the skill: 守護者 (meaning Guardian / Protector) is that it will be the Defense version of Alcryst's personal skill. It would be a bit boring if they go that route so I hope not.

I have no idea for Nil. Complex (コンプレックス) feels like it could end up being variety of effects (like Constance's Circadian Beat or Takumi's Competitive for the insecurity factor). Although, my lazy guess is that it will end up being a copy of Bernadetta's Persecution Complex.

My absolute worst guess for the Fell Dragon Twins is that Nel and Nils have Sakura / Hinoka's personal skill as an inverse of Alear and

    Spoiler

    Veyle

    having Camilla's and Elise's respectively.

Have no idea for the Three Wings, I assume Gregory will humourously either have a skill that activiates when he is at Full HP or ironically one that requires him to take damage.

Also speaking of personal skills, I know they likely won't bother to change it but it would be a neat detail if the evil versions of the characters end up with different/inverse personal skills as a reflection.

I do wonder if the new playable characters will become available in main campaign, cause I feel this will be similar to Three Houses DLC, that this will be considered as a side story.

    Spoiler

It's confirmed that they do become avaliable after you complete the xenologue.

  6. To add, are you also looking for stat caps? It isn't a big deal for the main-game but as someone who is looking into that for My Castle battles (and perhaps rarely, PVP). That is potentially a factor although I don't know if using the hack, could potentially result in a shadowban.

Also it has been a while since I checked about the Gay Fates hack, I recall that there were also expanded pairings as well such as Scarlet and Flora getting more pairing options as well. Btw, what about A rank pairings? Is that still possible with the Gay Fates hack? How does it work?

Personally, I would just replace Absorb Dex with Cyclical Specials, Absorb isn't very reliable, and you could just instant kill things with Specials

Whichever works for you! I'm mainly going for overkill here.

    7 hours ago, B.Leu said:

Wait it does? I thought the L'ord's elemental skills had Fiendish Blow on it? Or is it Essense of?

The Lord's personal skill have a built in Essence beyond the infusion into it which means that if they use a charge attack or combat arte that correspond to their respective element, they will get the powerful version of it.

Fiendish Blow (I'll be honest. Even with my basic research, I still don't know exactly what it does beyond the possibility that it increases the rate of element status activating on the enemy) basically activates every time there is an element interaction. This seems to be the case for every attack the Lords does as Fiendish Blow just keeps showing up as you attack with them.

  8. So in light of the update which features the Apex skills getting fixed (unless that was a false alarm). I have decided to share a very basic Claude build.

    Critical Claude

As a unit, Claude's personal isn't notable. Wind is probably running for the contender of worst element when compared to the damage output of Fire, Lightning and Darkness. It also doesn't have any other utility compared to Ice or Light.

It's still an elemental infusion so at least he gets some damage increase regardless.

His support skill is decent. It synergize with the Wind element's damage boost in the air to allow him to boost his Awakening gauge. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like Claude have abilities that would help him get to Awakening faster.

Minor Crest of Riegan at max level has a 25% chance to heal when using a Combat Art. It's okay and helps his survivability when it could be needed. Claude will definitely be using Wind God often so it does have some chance to delay an elixir use unless you are running it with Lifeforce.

Class: Bow Knight for both leveling and as his final class.

As a note, Barbarossa is still a great option for him as his personal lord class but Bow Knight's Bowfaire allows his criticals to be more frequent. Mortal Savant opens up to his Wind spells especially Excalibur while retaining the critical boost from Swordfaire although he loses Apex Bow as a result.

    Ability Loadout

    • Bow Prowess
    • Boost Critical
    • Apex Bow - It's now working! Claude's already high dex will see his damage output increase in no time.
    • Seeker of Greatness
    • Impossible Feat
    • Dual Onslaught
    • Offensive Tactics
    • Wild Abandon - Pretty risky but why not?
    • Absorb Dexterity - If the number of enemy officers are small, it can be swapped out.
    • Heaviest Hitter - Still unknown how the Critical Rush damage is calculated but it's helpful to get as many critical rushes with his high dex.

    Possible Options

    • Luna: Admittedly, it doesn't seem as strong anymore especially with the defense debuff being your Lck/10. Still a boost to consider.
    • Archer’s Wisdom: This is dependent on how much you use the Class Action but at least Claude's high dex will help the damage.
    • Sneak Attack: Not as reliable but Claude's high dex on the occasional sneak might be helpful.
    • Fiendish Blow: It apparently activates with his personal skill so it's an option.
    • Lifeforce: If one wants more damage on top of his absurd Wind God, be my guest. Although be careful of the HP loss on top of Impossible Feat.
    • Cyclical Specials: Special loops for days.
    • Driven Spirit: Assuming you are able to get Claude into Awakening often.

    Combat Arts/Spells

    • Wind God: Yes.
    • Hunter's Volley: Claude does not get Deadeye. He'll have to make do with Hunter's Volley

Alternatively, Hide Presence, Drill Arrow and Tornado Shot are options to consider.

    Weapon Attributes

    • Dexterity Factor・Reckless Power
    • Boost Critical
    • The Inexhaustible

Dexterity Factor (or Reckless Power) increases his damage. Boost Critical is Boost Critical. The Inexhaustible helps with Wind God's cooldown and healing in intervals.

Failnaught is an okay option for him if somewhat lacking. Fallen Star is not as good of a combat art for him beyond being helpful for Monsters and the increased range of Windbender doesn't do much else for him.

    Accessories

    • Agile Dexterity Ring
    • Critical Ring
    • Monstrous Strength Ring

    Adjutants

    • Hilda ≥ Lysithea > Lorenz as Wyvern Lord > Bow Knight/Trickster/Falcon Knight/Dancer

Hilda having Awakening Assist synergize much better with Claude's support skill. Of course, Advocate will always be helpful for increasing the likelihood of when she attack and defend. She also tend to have better damage skills so that hit is going to hurt. Lightning is also a great element for his charge attacks.

Lysithea's an option for increasing his Awakening and Warrior gauge through her support skill although admittedly, Claude's minor crest at 25% means it doesn't activate too often. Of course, can't neglect Dark Assist being helpful in increasing his damage output compared to Wind.

Lorenz also gets Awakening Assist AND a support skill to even boost his Awakening gauge even further. That is about it with him though. Definitely his best male support.

Wyvern Lord is a damage buff with the speed to help the Combat Arts cooldown. Trickster/Bow Knight/Falcon Knight increases his Dex even further beyond.

If you are running Mortal Savant Claude then Dancer is likely their best options for the Adjutant class.

  9. Quick opinions for most of the GD casts. No opinions on High Lord and Armor Lord.

    • Fluegel: Protagonist power! It's fast, multi-hit, and strong. My only gripe is Strong Attack 3 not picking up commanders but that goes hand in hand with the rhythm they want you to pull with it.
    • Wyvern Master: Still the weakest of the three lords. It's class action (Wyvern fireball~) and strong attacks really favor area control for stacking damage as opposed to raw power of the other two. It's fitting for Claude as a character but definitely going to be the least satisfying to play overall.
    • Mercenary: Myrmidon 2. The class action is a little hard to chain into but if you get the timing down right, you get a nice speed boost to run up to a commander and slash them. Still probably the least fun to play of the swords though.
    • Thief: Oh man, the increase in attack speed makes a world of difference in shredding the shield gauge along with good strings and multi-hit strong attacks. Best of the generic swords. Will see how it pays off even more with Assassin and Trickster.
    • Cavalier: Hits surprisedly hard with decent strings. Class action is super fun to just hold and run through. Even great at breaking up groups that way.
    • Pegasus Knight: Works almost like Cavalier, I'm almost inclined to say that it's stronger in some ways, especially when Strong Attack 4 lifts enemies with a gust of wind and allows them to chain in the air. Class action is easier to use than Cavalier but less fun to hold otherwise.
    • Armor Knight: It's dash allows you to tackle lesser enemies which is pretty nice but overall, fit it's archetype to a tee. Strong and slow. When the attack hits, it hurts.
    • Brigand: A bit bias as Hilda has a charge mechanic but overall, is similar to Armor Knight with the trade off being a much stronger attack. Still too slow for my liking and unlike Armor who has the defense to allow getting hit a few times in order to launch an attack, Brigand requires a much more careful method of approaching.
    • Archer: Playing as Archer is almost a uphill battle everytime as every other enemy seems to have no problem interrupting you. Even Brawlers, which Archers are suppose to have an advantage against, can straight up pummel them before they start their string. Has the potential to be strong but the current attack speed leaves ALOT to be desired.
    • Brawler: Like with Hilda, my view in this class is affected by Raphael's charge a bit but even so, WOW, it is good. Fast hits that are able to destroy guard gauge as fast as Thief. You pummel everyone. I still am not sure what to make do with the class action though since it's string and strong attacks is already superb.
    • Priest: A bit slow but good enough strings to hit your enemies with. Still might be better to fight alongside a teammate rather than having an adjutant assist. A good support class that can fight well.
    • Mage: If it wasn't for the raw damage, I almost consider them somewhat inferior to Priest. If the opponent in question, isn't an archer, they will struggle. I feel like the class lacks some strong attacks that can effect the guard gauge but they still do have the power to hit the enemies Res which is valuable.
  10. Hmm, keep in mind, I'm not very knowledgable but I still want to give it a try.

Friendship class should be with Mozu, giving you the Archer class line. Sniper and Kinshi Knight are very good in Wifi or so I heard.

Optimally, we would want a pairing that can support Effie's Puissance (assuming that you are going to use her in one of the Wifi battle teams) while also pairing her mods to a child that synergize.

Of course, this technically would mean that you want to give her a Berserker pairing since it's pairup gives the most strength as well as some speed.

So there are mostly only two candidates: Arthur and Keaton. Both of these pairings give stellar pairup stats in strength plus Effie's mods are great for Percy and Velouria respectively.

  11. This is just my impression from reading about FE three houses discussion elsewhere. I won't be commenting on in-house exclusive units. (with the exception being the Church units.) Other units not mentioned here are due my ignorance in their usage.

Difficulty being Maddening for the most part.

Strong both inhouse and out of house overall.

    • Felix: Great growths and great major crest all help him to become a monster in combat. Can work in any physical classes. Most notable/mentioned around are Sniper, Grappler and War Master.
    • Lysithea: Everything said have already been said but it has been agreed that her combat can be somewhat overrated in some playthroughs. Frail magic glass cannon with the highest warp range. Notable classes being Gremory and Dark Knight. (Dark Flier gets mentioned sometimes with her because flying is that good)
    • Leonie: Known for being quite fast and decently tanky. Has the famed Point-Blank Volley although it does take a while to get A rank. Keep her away from mages at all cost as she can get one-shotted if not careful. Like Felix, she can be strong in any physical classes but Bow Knight is her most popular choice followed by Falcon Knight.
    • Petra: Another speed demon like Leonie who traded her slight bulk and PBV for better weapon proficiencies, most notably in Axes and Flying meaning that she will have an easier time reaching Wyvern Lord and Alert Stance+. (Not that Leonie can't reach those though) Other classes she is known for is Assassin but any physical class will work with her especially those that allow her to dodge well.

Contested units for strong inhouse and out of house.

    • Bernadetta: Her Vengeance build and the worth of her personal skill is starting to make rounds but there has been some pushback, especially those who dislike the glass cannon aspect of that particular build.
    • Ferdinand: His personal skill being one of the best to keep at full HP for a Hit and Dodge bonus is really effective. Pair up with Swift Strikes, and you got one godly unit. However, some have problems in regard to his recruitment difficulty. As such, he is also a contender for being strong inhouse but require a bit of investment out of house. His two classes are Paladin for pure Swift Strike and Wyvern Lord for dodgetank.
    • Sylvain: Ferdinand's competitor. Trades the ability for better hit and dodge for an easy recruitment at chapter 2 and the Lance of Ruin with female Byleth. Quite contested because of his poor dexterity and lacking the essential dodge that Ferdinand can provide by some. Often for many tier lists, you may find people who argue that "wherever Sylvain is, Ferdinand should be there as well." or vice-versa. Same classes as Ferdinand.
    • Linhardt: His utility gets brought up highly in other places especially with his combination of Physic and Warp. However reading the room here, I can see that his average magic makes his healing not as potent as someone like Mercedes plus it's not often you need two Warp users.

Strong inhouse, requires investment out of house.

    • Annette: The rally queen, very valuable during any Blue Lions run especially since their route grants her the magic axe Crusher. She is seldom recommended for OOH since there are other units. Notable classes are Dark Flier, Gremory, Warlock and Wyvern Lord due to her Axe access (although it's somewhat considered a meme despite how good it can be).
    • Ignatz: The most accurate hitter in Three Houses. Can support others with his rallies or debuff enemies with the Break Shot + Seal Strength combination. Is finding a lot more support for those doing GD inhouse runs, otherwise, he isn't as recommended out of house. His only notable class is Sniper for Hunter's Volley is required for him to accurately secure kills.
    • Hilda: Only available to recruit immediately in Blue Lion and locked out until way later in the game with Black Eagles Silver Snow with a very small window to recruit her. Even then, her requirement to recruit can be a bit of a hassle and her performance OOH require a bit of work for her to catch up (especially if you are going to use her in BE SS for whatever reason). Her most notable flaw is her poor dexterity not working as well for an Axe user. That being said, she is still quite an offensive powerhouse if you use her in-house.

Strong out of house, requires investment in-house. (Probably the most controversial)

    • Ingrid: Derided inhouse for her poor bases, and is often subjected to being benched, invested through stat boosters, or put as an adjutant until she gets better in some discussion involving BL maddening runs. OOH gives her enemy Pegasus growths which makes her far more effective when recruited at Chapter 6. Regardless of whether she is inhouse or not, she is still considered to be an effective dodge-tank especially against mages which is what allows her to stand out differently from the more offense-based Leonie and Petra, both of which have poor Res.
    • Mercedes: The most potent healer out of all the healers but her effectiveness is being challenged a lot elsewhere. Her biggest problem (at least with Maddening) is her delayed Physic for Chapter 2 (D rank instead of D+ like Marianne and Linhardt). While this is obviously not an end-all be all once she gets Physic, the effectiveness of Restore and most notably Fortify is also challenged due to different situations for some when put against Marianne's Silence (and her reason spell containing Thoron) or Linhardt's Warp (alongside some discussing Excalibur vs Ragnarok). However, she is considered to be a good OOH healer for both GD and BE. For GD, Marianne is sometimes considered as dancer material and Mercedes makes a good replacement healer. For BE, she can join in healing alongside Linhardt (since his magic may not be as effective depending on his growth) or be Jeritza's adjutant in CF. Another thing to note with her is that she have an alternative build as a Magic based Sniper with the Magic Bow+ (once you get the Dark Merchant).

Church of Seiros group (a.k.a Catherine, Shamir, Seteth and Cyril)

    • Catherine: very strong early game for BL or GD runs especially if you manage to recruit her in Chapter 4. She may or may not fall off depending on how she performs from there and what build you ultimately decide to go with her. Some rate her early game performance quite highly while some find her later game performance quite disappointing as well as her somewhat late recruitment in Silver Snow being a problem. (Although in her case, she is still useable)
    • Shamir: The premier Sniper available in all routes especially with how good Hunter's Volley is with only a few grinding investment. She only requires Death Blow and Hit+20 for her to be effective throughout the entire game. Although because of that, her build is quite limited to a degree and not everyone is on board with it just yet but it is growing.
    • Seteth: The third force that joins the Mêlée à Trois in Swift Striker users discussion. Often considered to be inferior to the other two due to the later recruitment time, and a slightly less effective personal skill. Nevertheless, he is somewhat valued due to his good base when joined and requires only a little investment to get him rolling.
    • Cyril: It's basically "dealing with bleh bases at Chapter 5 recruitment vs early C+ Point Blank Volley". Obviously, if Catherine is meh for Silver Snow, then Cyril is likely to be even worst especially since he scales with Commoner's growth. It's also worth noting that he can also learn Vengeance but this build is not as popular because of E rank lance but he can get there relatively quickly since lance is a boon for him. He is going to require some investment but some say that it only requires a few nudges for him to get going while others feel he is not worth it.

    Ashen Wolves (minus Balthus) 😞

    • Yuri: Lord-like growth. Most known for being the unit with the most Speed growth at 65% meaning he will always on average, have good speed but trade for having some really cumbersome banes which limits his final class options. The bane in flying in particular fuels some debates between his performance and Petra's.
    • Constance: The premier black mage known for being the best Bolting user. Her dexterity can be a bit of an issue so some don't find her as reliable as Lysithea.
    • Hapi: Mediocre growths but have a versatile spell list. Very effective when dealing with monsters or for debuffing certain units. Have other issues such as her neutral faith means she will take time to learn Physic and Warp and her authority weakness can be an issue (although Seiro Holy Monk is already good enough.)

That is all that I know for now. Just note that these are impressions so it's not completely accurate to the more specific discussions that they have.

  12. Paimon Eisner (Male, Verdant Wind)

Closest Allies: Lysithea (S), Claude, Leonie

    Part I

    • Interests: Mercenary opportunities, career advancement, stability
    • Likes: Bonuses/raise, optimization, reading.
    • Dislikes: Nonsense/tomfoolery, teaching, competition.

Personality: Would be a sociopath if Sothis doesn't act as their conscious, chose the Leicester Alliance-Golden Deer as he believe the alliance will have more jobs for him as mercenary. Also rationalize everything he does and comes up with plans to get closer to the students in hopes of getting in their good graces for them to find more jobs for him. Is taken aback by how dysfunctional they are but does his best to make work with what he's got, often by being really strict with their discipline.

    Part II

    Spoiler
    • Interests: Diplomacy, governance, history
    • Likes: Leading, smiles, fishing,
    • Dislikes: Savagery, ignorance, crests

Personality: After merging with Sothis, Paimon becomes more empathetic to his students and friends. During the timeskip, he develops a small guilt complex as a result for both his past actions of treating everyone coldly and for sleeping during the five years when he was needed the most. He slowly gets over this with Claude's help. He begins to devote himself to the arts of ruling in order to create a new Fodlan out of a sense of duty and to help Claude's dream of unifying other cultures. Still a strict instructor overall, but becomes more tolerant of their antics and opens himself up to be teached by his fellow students.

  13. I'm still mulling over Lorenz's ships. I can't decide between Marianne, Leonie or Claude.

Lysithea has a lot of good ones too. Linhardt saves her, She helps redeem Felix (although a sad ending overall), Cyril's is very "bappy", Edelgard saves and empower her. She's also pretty good for M!Byleth too.

Sylvain x Mercedes for sure. They have a hilarious joking moment after they both confess how crests have clouded their future and perceptions. Sylvain also has a good one with Felix although for AM ending only.

  14. They all have some sort of reason to be joining one house or the other. Personally, I start with cross-support compatibility with House Leaders taking priority although this is not a sure-fire method. Sometimes, certain characters just don't make much sense joining another house or the other but that's why we have conflicting views. I have not played all the routes and so some information is still quite spotty so feel free to correct them based on your experiences and opinions.

    Pro-Black Eagles

    Spoiler

Lysithea of the Golden Deer has a very strong connection to Edelgard's ideals so much so that she is one of the more obvious ones here. She very much wants to rid the world of crests. She is almost a free unit for Black Eagles not requiring recruitment in part 1 to sway her over to the Empire. As a result, despite the fact that she does have more supports with Blue Lion characters (Sylvain, Annette and Felix), she is in my opinion, the least likely to join either the Church or Blue Lions. She does not care for Dimitri/Rhea in the same way she does for Claude or Edelgard with certain information outright saying that she doesn't care about the situation in Faerghus. One could even argue that she would very much prefer Black Eagles over Golden Deer. Although she seems loyal to Claude enough to be willing to fight the Empire in both Azure Moon and Crimson Flower (at least until the Alliance's fate is pretty much sealed at Deidru for CF, plus with Claude's prodding.)

Lorenz of the Golden Deer is more or less pro-Black Eagles but not really out of his own choice. The Gloucester family seems to have somesort of vendetta against House Riegan as well as the concern for their survival since their territory is the first affected if the Empire chooses to invade the Alliance. Since Lorenz seems to be more or less following his father's will. It's within reason that he would probably follow the Empire despite the fact that he doesn't really want to. He does also seem the least likely to join Church as he doesn't really seem to care about the Faith or Rhea that much if that was the case while, being more preferable to join Blue Lions in order to free himself from The Empire in that regards. In fact, one could argue that he's also Pro-Blue Lions since he had lived in Faerghus. His cross-house supports seem to be for both with Ferdinand and Dorothea for Black Eagles or Sylvain and Mercedes for Blue Lions.

Before I talk about the most-likely Blue Lion candidate to join Black Eagles, I personally found their house to be full of loyalists at most even Ashe seems to prefer the Blue Lions way despite what the Church did to Lonato. So their reasons are quite shorter. Since I have not played Blue Lions nor am I their biggest fans so their reasons are quite shorter and more superficial.

Sylvain of the Blue Lions is the member who detest Crests the most. Since he already dislike his father and he isn't as close with most of the other Blue Lions member as much. If he is prodded enough, he could likely agree to overthrow the Church if it stops the curse of the crests that he and his brother suffered so much for. He doesn't seem to care about The Alliance at much so he's the least likely to join Golden Deer or even the Church.

Felix of the Blue Lions is a popular choice, although his motives have been debated. He holds cynical views against Faerghus's ideals, and that does seem like enough reason for him to leave the Kingdom. Plus he also has a lot of special dialogue for joining the Empire, especially against Rodrigue and Dimitri. However, there is also merit to believe that he genuinely cares for the Kingdom a lot despite his insistent so there are also reason to believe that he is also too much of a loyalist for Blue Lions to ever be happy in any other route where he isn't following Dimitri. The same also applies to Sylvain although in my opinion, in a much lesser extent. Likewise, he doesn't care for The Alliance or the Church to really join them for their cause especially with the Golden Deer, since there he express sorrow for not being there for Dimitri.

    Pro-Blue Lions

    Spoiler

Marianne of the Golden Deer seems to have somewhat of a kinship with Blue Lions. Although one could definitely argue that she could agree to join Black Eagles in order to get rid of the curse that is her crest, it seems to me that she would be far happier with Blue Lions as they still retain their faith in the Goddess. Her support with Dimitri is what makes me prioritize her with Blue Lions. Again, I have not played Blue Lions yet so I am not aware of her comments just yet.

I apologize since I have not played Azure Moon yet to know which characters prefer this routes. I hope the overwhelming Blue Lions fans can provide more supports. Personally Raphael, Lorenz (as I stated, he could fall here but I kept him in Black Eagles because he has a duty with his family to prioritize joining the Empire until persuaded otherwise.) Ferdinand and Dorothea stands out as the most likely characters to join the Blue Lions but I don't have sufficient knowledge to talk in length.

    Pro-Golden Deer

    Spoiler

Petra of the Black Eagles as fellow foreigner, she would emphasize with Claude's ideals enough to defect from the Empire since they are an unwilling vassal state. She will require some slight nudge because she is somewhat loyal to Edelgard as a friend. Brigid would definitely be more than willing to stand against the Empire, and Claude's vision will be the most beneficial to them.

Ingrid of the Blue Lions is more of a personal opinion. She does have a lot of support with Golden Deer members (Claude, Raphael and Ignatz), and one could say that if she is tired of her father's control over her so she strikes out to connect with the Alliance instead. Again, the reasoning here is quite weak I have to admit because most of Blue Lions members don't really have much reasons to leave their own house. House Galatea was once part of House Daphnel before they broke off and so Ingrid joining the Alliance can have somewhat of rekindle for that.

Shamir and Cyril of the Church fall both here as foreigners who would oppose the Empire what but isn't as connected with The Kingdom. Both of them are more comfortable with Golden Deer members since Claude's ideals would resonate with them to a degree.

    Some Exceptions

    Spoiler

Leonie and Alois are more or less Jeralt-centric than anything else. They are more loyal to Jeralt and to an extension Byleth. Plus both of them don't have strong ideals on anything so they definitely wouldn't mind following any other class as long as Byleth is with them.

Hilda is the only "number-two" that can join Blue Lions or the Church but she will never join Black Eagles - CF. Reasons are a bit of a toss-up. Byleth's influence aside, I definitely say that she doesn't care about Faerghus enough to join Blue Lions but the option is there since they never kill Claude who she is probably the most loyal to. Otherwise, I would say that she could be a pro-church but even then, she probably just prefers Golden Deer over any other houses.

  15. Keep

    - Battalions, not specifically Gambits mind you, I think Battalions should have other gameplay effects. Stuff like the early-demo Formations and all that affecting unit placement could be interesting. Ideas like having three armored shield units line up could pull interesting stuff like a Phalanx or a battalion of Bow Knights pulling a Parthian Shot. I think they could do better with this and I want to see it improve. A personal dream would be if clashing Battalions have secret advantage and weakness against each other. Think like archer battalions aren't as effective against armored unit battalions or something like that.

    - New Game+: It's a beautiful thing really, and definitely gives the incentive to replay the game if one wants a more casual game. I would honestly not mind a route like Lunatic+ if we had something like New Game+ carrying over things. It's not perfect in this game of course but it was definitely a welcome.

    - The Magic system: I like the limit of it, it needs to be tweaked cause it's still overpowered here but it still works.

    - Three-way battles: Should be more of these, less monsters and more humans fights with this. I like the idea of a third force complicating everything, or having them appear at a tight spot can change the outcome of a battle.

    - Goals is a really nice idea, even if there is no grinding spots in future games having units train themselves towards weapon ranks help some units catch up.

Drop or the return of old mechanics

    - Return of weapon-triangle: Might be slightly unpopular but weapon-triangles make units who are proficient in one weapon to be useful when going up against certain enemies. I know that there are breaker skills that are suppose to emulate them but they aren't enough.

    - Certification: It make sense here because of how school-focused this game is but no thanks, don't want RNG class-change.

    - Recruitment of other students: I'm not one who enjoys teatime so this is a big no for me. Promoting the use of other stats as requirements is also tedious.

    - Adjuvants, I like the ability to grind with it but either drop it or bring back Pair Up.

    No Opinion - Needs Tweaking.

    - Avatar: I never had too much of a problem with the Avatar. I don't mind if they drop it or keep it in the future but it definitely needs some tweaking for a better experience. Byleth is both a good and a bad step. The Good is that they are properly an avatar with nice dialogue options, the bad is that they are a main character in the story where some personality would have been needed. They also lack the customization of Robin and Corrin which makes me think that Byleth should have been more of their own character especially with their backstory. I'm not saying it can't work and that recent FEs (not counting Echoes) try to have the Avatar be the main focus into the plot in order to keep people who likes Avatar stuff invested. The best of both world would be that an Avatar is just a customizable unit who maybe is friends with the Lord or is a mercenary (yeah similar to Kris but not as spotlight-stealing or so I heard), have dialogue options or action choices depending on what kind of story, but isn't as important as said Lord. Either way, it's probably here to stay though.

    - Divine Pulse: I'm not finicky with it. It was helpful for the most part but I don't have much to say on it.

I'm about to start a new Revelations game, but I want to prioritize helping my two favorite children: Mitama and Nina.

I was thinking of Effie!Mitama and then making her a dread fighter, as I wanted to try Oboro!Caledori as a great lord this playthrough (unless Effie!Mitama makes a better great lord)?

For Nina, I'm not sure what boon/bane would be best to mother her with female Corrin and what secondary class would give her the most options (thinking Archer for sniper if physical, perhaps Diviner for Onymagi if magical but then Nyx could do that).

I would appreciate any help or advice on how to create a great Nina and Mitama!

You can't go wrong with Effie!Mitama, as long as she is in a physical class. I will say that Great Lord has better growth-rates for Effie!Mitama but there is nothing wrong with making her a Dread Fighter so you could run Oboro!Caledori with Great Lord (to make "Lucina") if that's what you want.

Careful with Nina though as Corrin doesn't pass down her secondary class to her any other children but Kana since she will pass down her Noble classes to them instead.

As for Boon, you have +Speed (for any general purpose, can be magical or physical), or +Magic (for a more magic focused). Bane would probably be -Luck (unless you are willing to tolerate -Defense)

Unless you are looking at it from a skill inheritance perspective, then both Archer and Diviner should have decent skills to pass down (mainly Certain Strike/Bowfaire for Archer and Tomefaire/Flamboyant for Diviner.)

So you could look to her friendship classes or her marriage ones for more options, although most of them are geared towards preferring a physical pairing. (with Foleo being the only magical class spouse for her.) Standouts would probably be Asugi for the ninja class and Siegbert for a personal skill-stack although it's very limited.

    Does Charlotte have official art?

    Spoiler

Sadly, no. She doesn't have an offical art.

I got the book but I don't have a scanner so I'll leave it to someone who can take the pictures better

There are two things that really caught my eye.

    Spoiler

There is a lot of interesting designs in the boss/creatures-design page, including the Hoshido dragon and I presume to be Anankos before he grew massive along with his degrading form as he slowly lost his sanity.

The other is the family tree in the Dragon Blood section which apparently, there is no sibling connection for Mikoto and Arete.

  18. Timed Attack and Timed Assault gives me a huge headache especially trying to get 2,000 kills for the S rank. Sure, you could get away with it in the normal ones by cheesing it with Lyn's C6 but comes the missions where they restrict you to certain characters (Either only the fates cast or "Bows only"), then I need to take a break between each tries before I threw my 3DS in rage.

So.... I just played the game and Chrom and Robin got an A+ Support without even trying. Is this normal? What can I do to prevent characters A+ing each other in the future?

Don't worry. A+ supports are not locked to one pairing only, it's just an indication for which characters have exclusive voice conversation with each other. You can have multiple supports but only a selected few will have conversations.
