    Note to everyone in this thread:

    I'm getting a bit sick of Inui getting trolled constantly. I won't tolerate seeing any more of it, or getting reported any more of it. If you disagree with his statements and views, that's fine, but that is by no means a justification to start trolling him (calling him Horio which he doesn't want, or whatever other thing that's intended to either provoke him into blatantly insulting you, or which is simply a blatant insult to him. This seems to be the only thread where this happens, but if it happens/happened outside of this thread as well, I also won't tolerate it in any other threads (that was probably obvious, but I wanted that to be clear).

    If you are not one of the people participating in this, don't worry. But if you do, you know who you are and that you're doing this, so stop it.

    I could have PMed some of you, but I don't think that would have reached everybody.

    Awesome. So, what is she doing? She kills come Cavs. All right. After that? She blows. She rams 20/0 and then is benched forever and wasn't even special when around. Farina can sot a bunch of a money and provide something useful.

    That wasn't even his point. You brought up that Lyn would cost a lot of money, too, and that argument was quickly debunked by mentioning she doesn't even need to be promoted at all times if you want to use her for at least some time. In order to use Farina for even one turn, you need to pay up a large amount of funds.

    Whether Lyn is hot or not before hitting 20/0 is absolutely irrelevant, as is whether she's going to be deployed or not.

    Sell the Heaven Seal and buy stuff. Either way, Lyn's promotional cost is big if she ever promotes, and if she doesn't, Farina actually becomes good in long and hard chapters while Lyn was only good for a brief time in smaller chapters.

    ...Which requires you to pay big time.

    I really need to find a way to negate this Funds shit. It seems to be the only thing you guys hold against her and you just negate her entirely due to it.

    I'm going to twist your statement a bit: we need to find a way to make you finally understand that Farina costing a lot of money to even fucking exist does have a large impact on her position on this list

    You didn't. Stat gains are (pseudo)randomly generated unless you play fixed mode. You cannot control which stats rise at what times, all you can do is alter growth rates with bands and such to improve the chances of two particular stats to rise (and that's only minimal, too, only 5 percentage points).

    So you just had bad luck. Oh, by the way, I doubt your Ike had 61 or 62 hp on your previous playthrough ; )

    I just saw a cool thing. Level 1 Brigand in Birds of a Feather (Chapter 12) with 7 AS. Bartre is screwed with 3 AS, isn't he?

    EDIT: Bosses don't have set stats here. The run that I saw a 7 AS Brigand also had a 6 AS Zagan.

    Because he can get doubled by one enemy?

    At least I'm certain that that is not the reason why. Unlike some people roaming the interweb, I'm not one of those people who actually falls in love or is attracted to pictures of video game characters (or marries a video game character, like that one Japanese guy) : p

    As for FE11 (and 10, I think), the seed number is chosen based on the system internal clock, so it will reset each playthrough. I'm not sure what PoR does though.

    Which means they're still pseudo-randomly generated, just using a different algorithm...

    As far as I know, rand() functions that various programming and scripting languages have generate numbers pseudo-randomly, even. Generating a truly random value using a computer is more complicated than people think : o
