I mostly wanted to know what Fire Emblem character are you most like. But from you put, I'd say yours would be Olivia or Inigo as a SageIsn't this thread already a thing?
Of course mine makes no sense.
Awakening-hero-light magic-singer.

I was doing Laslow but there is no option for mercenary though so I put in dancer
Mercenary is now there, sorry about that

In other words, what Fire Emblem character is most like you. Answer the questions too.

I put in a vote
For Races: Wolf and Heron
For Character: Reyson

Purely PreferenceSo, regarding the species choice. Is that purely preference or statistically based on usefulness?

They don't have to be the best in combat, but they also have to the best characters. All I want to know is what is your favorite type of Laguz, beside Dragons because that's what you'd all pick. Also, put your favorite Laguz character.

Well, so long as you handle the Avatar and marriage/children properly (plot-wise, since IS has only done children right once (FE4) and never did Avatars right), I see no reason to complain. Just me though.
I'm going to take the FE4 route with the children. The Avatar is sort of play a Hector/Lyn in Eliwood's tale role in the story.

Yes, especially if you got rid of all the stupid things in the newer games (non-promotion reclassing, avatar units, barracks/my castle, marriage/children)... but I suppose that's too much to ask for...
This is what Warrior Mode (The Tellius/GBA Mode) is for. This mode is where there is no reclass option, only one promotion for each class, no overworld map, no grind for gold/experience (expect in Arenas) and only able to access skill by acquiring the scrolls (or the class learning it naturally). Marriage and Children are still there, along with an Avatar character, but you can choose the Avatar's base class if that eases your pain.

I want to create a game that incorporates elements that Fire Emblem fans from all sides of the spectrum. I want to make a game that appeals to new fans and old fans with features that have been forgotten like Trainee units and a Merlinus type character. But I also want to incorporate new features like a Merlinus character, but on the enemy side. The ability to brake into the conveys and steal the items. And Warrior Mode, a mode where it plays more like the GBA and Tellius games. But, one question remains, would you play it?

Erk. I learned recently that not many use him. Me, he was one of my best in my first playthrough and has continued to be an amazing ally

Personality, because that's the only reason I'll make them better....but good stats are good too and a combination is the best of all

I would be a Troubadour/Mage --> Valkyrie, because I'm like magic and am not very defensive. I'll also do anything to protect/keep my comrades alive.
I'm gonna try something - chapter selection
in General Fire Emblem

I have an idea and though I am yet to know if it will work, I thought it might be interesting. My proposal is that we shall create our own 12 chapter Fire Emblem adventure. We have an army of 15 that can't be changed and 12 chapters that are created by you. I will be playing, but you all are the tactician. You will direct me through and try not to get our army killed. If everyone dies, the game ends. Before we can do anything, we need our army.
Army:
(If a pre-promote is chosen, they will be a base class)
You must have:
A Lord:
A Cavalier with a Sword:
A Cavalier with a Lance:
A Healer:
An Axe User:
A Magic User:
A Thief:
A Dancer:
A Flier:
A Sword User:
An Archer:
A Shapeshifter:
An Extra Unit 1:
An Extra Unit 2:
An Extra Unit 3:
