  1. Once you complete the Hero Battles in a file, whether you recruit them or not, the amiibo characters will be automatically added to the Unit Logbook. Through that, you can easily purchase them in other files after grinding some gold for them.

As others have said, completing a My Castle battle/Invasion/Challenge should allow you to re-scan the amiibos right away. If you want to have the amiibo characters in your My Castle (running your shops and whatnot), you'll need to scan them a fourth time (after completing their Hero Battle).

Nice information about the Unit Logbook, didn´t know about that.

  2. Hello guys, I have a little question.

I´m currently on my first playthrough of Fates (Special Edition) and I´m on Chapter 6. I borrowed a 3DS NFC reader from a friend and wanted to quickly scan my Amiibo just to unlock the Hero battles so I can return the reader now and do the battles later.

From what I understand, I would need 3 saves, one for each path and scan the Amiibo 3 times on them. But is there a way to do this without having to fight a story quest between each scan? I haven´t even started Hoshido or Nohr stories, I don´t want to fight 3 chapters of Revelations just to scan them.

  3. For the JPN version, Revelation is DLC regardless of what edition you have.

Special edition gets it for free.

Isn't it in the OP? The Japanese Special Edition of FE14 didn't have the third path on cartridge because it was still under development by the time the cartridges were ready months before release date.

There was no Revelations path in existence to out on the cartridges. Hence why it's free DLC.

That´s right, I totally forgot that the Japanese SE was released before Revelations, and made it Free DLC for those who had it.

  4. I know what you're talking about. It involves installing NTR on your EmuNAND. Once you've done that, install the Revelations DLC .cia that you get from "that site." So once you've done that, every time you run FE:Fates, run NTR first and then run Fire Emblem.

One little note. Chapter 14 on Revelations is broken and crashes every time for me at least. I don't know if this is an issue with other people, but there is an issue at the moment.

If you have the Special Edition, don´t you have Revelations already? So, can´t you just apply the patch, instead of having to find another .cia of it?

Also, I thought that Chapter 14 crash had been fixed in the new releases. I´ve heard about this, but it was some time ago...

  5. Wait so Team If is still working on the fan translation right? Because that's what I'm really looking forward to.

The original Team has finished their work (3 main routes + paraboles + some supports), the remaining supports will be continued by a new team. This thread is about the Content Restoration, you can learn more about the fan translation reading the latest posts here:

  6. They replaced the item ID list with the Japanese version's item ID list. To be clear, the game doesn't care what the item is called. when another player interacts with a character of yours that has an accessory on it will load up whatever item reference ID that character's accessory points to.

Oh, now I get it. The problem aren´t the swimsuits per se, but the original items whose IDs were swapped for IDs that don´t exist in the USA version. Going to keep in mind these 4 items, just in case.

  7. Until this is added into the OP, here is the final Team If (Division I) Patch Release.

    --

Team If Division I members (the original fanslation team) will help them get accustomed to the system and files. They will continue and finish the project.

Thanks for the final release of Division I and for giving some help to the Division II. Despite what anyone may say or what your motivations were, the fact is that you did a lot of work on this patch and I just want to say I´m grateful for that. Also, best of luck to Division II with their work from now on.

  8. I broke it down earlier in the thread, but here's the relevant snippit:

knowing what I know about the way the accessory shop patch changed the item reference list, these are the items that once that patch is in use will crash other player's list.

    1. Item Reference 3D Emblem Shield

    2. Item Reference 3E Hoshidan Mask

    3. Item Reference 3F Love Bracelet

    4. Item Reference 40 Love Swimsuit

Bare in mind that these items were moved to the bottom of the list by the patch, so if you had them before using the patch you wont have them after the patch is installed. I actually have my doubts as to whether or not they're even obtainable with the patch installed as some of these are supposed to be given to the players after conditions are met.

I understood that the files for the Swimsuits were completely erased from the USA release and, to restore them, the Team replaced some items for the swimsuits. But I thought the replaced items were irrelevant or low level stuff that no one would miss.

    Is that right?

  9. I found somewhere a download to a .romfs including the restoration of swimsuit, Japanese audio, and applying the fan translation for the English version.

It seems to work fine except that save file names appear blank, other than that everything appears to look as if it was the fan translation. It's interesting in that it has the supports that weren't translated in the fan translation as the English localized supports, but the ones that were translated are the ones from the fan translation. It has Japanese text in some places such as the story summaries on the map and a few places in My Castle so I know it's not just the localized English text.

I don't know where this patch comes from, just had a mega download link, I'm guessing this is unofficial? Whoever made it, it's great as far as I'm concerned, all I really need aside from the save name error really.

Could you PM me that link if you still have it? Would be great to hold onto that for now.

  10. And in fact, the consensus will likely to be drop the remainder of this project and allow someone else to take our work. None of the translators (I myself included) see a point in continuing, because we don't care, and the fanbase doesn't either.

I just didn´t understand this part. I believe most of the fanbase, especially here in the Forum, is anxious for the final release with supports. I, for example, got a copy of the game, but didn´t started it yet, just because I was waiting for the final patch.

I agree about keeping the project closed to avoid some "evil trolls" to mess with everything and I understand that everyone has his own priorities in life (I even believe that I could help with the translation, but I don´t dare to ask to join because I probably won´t have enough time right now).

I just hope that you don´t drop it completely, because it seems this team worries about keeping consistency and meaning to dialogues, instead of just throwing a Google Translator in everything like I´ve seen many "fantranslators" do. If someone else takes the project to finish the supports, I can only hope they have the same good will.

  11. That might not be the case. If you pause the English Gameplay trailer at about 28 seconds, it looks like Tsubasa's outfit covers more of her upper body than before. Which... is weird, considering it seems they left her pegasus-themed outfit untouched, which also showed some cleavage.

I'm honestly a little worried after hearing about Bravely Second's localization, which apparently cut out some actual story content completely... compared to the first game, which just changed a couple of outfits and listed ages. I can live with the latter, but if there's any chance it'll be more like the former, especially when they're expecting it to be rated Mature...

Eh. We'll see, I guess. I just have a bad habit of expecting the worst.

That´s my fear as well, although I hate removed/altered outfits like in Fatal Frame V, XCX and Bravely Default, I usually cope with it. But Bravely Second showed signs of alteration story-wise and Fates had features removed, that´s some things that I definitely don´t approve and I hope it doesn´t become a trend.

I can understand why people are disappointed, and I can understand you not buying the game... but "I expected better from you"?

I flinch every time I hear Japanese honorifics in English in Persona, but I don't let that stop me from playing an English dub.

In my particular experience the honorifics didn´t even matter, I played the japanese version of Persona 3 and had my first contact with Persona 4 through the anime, so I got used with the JP voices and always disliked the english ones.

I love Atlus games, but their dubs really don´t appeal to me, I wonder if someday they will realize that aiming for Dual-Audio is the better option...

  12. Omg, japanese voices with english subs! That´s great! Was already thinking this would be impossible, since Atlus is involved with it. Wouldn´t get this if it would be dubbed only, especially after seeing the japanese trailers for the characters, the voices are awesome.

Will probably have some censoring though, I just hope it´s not so much as Fates.

  13. Dumb question, but since the english version has released is the project still ongoing? I really don't want to play that one but i also want to know whats going on with the supports and skinskips lol. Great work on whats done though, not sure how much thanks you guys get but for what its worth i really appreciate what you guys are (were?) doing!

Yes, this is still a thing. They are going to complete the patch translating all the remaining dialogues (supports, etc) and make them closer to the original, without all the official "localization changes". It may take some time though, since it´s a lot of work.

  14. Hmm, just a suggestion, is "Syalla" really the best romanization of Tsukiyomi's daughter's name? My first instinct in transliterating シャラ would be "Shara" (shya-ra, after all).

Maybe, maybe not. But there's absolutely no way names are up for debate.

I think some romanization will always be up to personal interpretation, that´s why they can´t open the names for debate, if they do, it will just never end.

At least "Syalla" or "Shara" will both be pronounced as シャラ, so it won´t be strange if the characters speak the name (haven´t played yet, don´t know if they talk about this person). One of the things that sounded so strange for me on Awakening was people calling "Emerina" everytime on voiced scenes and the name changed to "Emmeryn".

    We're working on them!

Totally off-topic, but I love your Touhou avatars, you just went from one of my favorites to another one. Could you PM me where you find those? XD

  15. Geez, people need to learn not to bash everything they dislike.

I prefer the Japanese dubbing, but that doesn´t stop me from praising Rena Strober work. Dubbing not only the dialogue, but also singing a Main Theme is a lot of work and she probably put a lot of effort in it. So, regardless of our tastes or native language, we should respect her work.

I thank you for your dedication, Ms. Strober. And I wish you a lot of success in future projects.
