Thanks for your hard work, kerwinbm11. I appreciate it!

The most common legal drinking age worldwide is 18, although it is 20 in Japan. Remarkably, in some places in India the minimum age is 25.
Yep (damn, India. That's a long time to wait for a drink). Also, since FE is in a medieval fantasy world, there probably isn't a legal drinking age. They didn't have those back then. Adolescents were allowed to have alcohol.

I must have Ingrid and Mercedes when I play the other Houses. I wish more character recruitment requirements were known, but all we can do is wait. Game, please hurry up and come out!!

where lots of shots show the Byleths had way more so whether or not they were trying to be a smart you know that's objectively wrong nothing about dislike I was referring to.
Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I'm glad the Avatars are more expressive this time around. I think I'll really enjoy the avatar aspect now that they seem more like actual people. Robin was fine and Corrin was just okay, but I'm definitely feeling Byleth!

Yes it is when its not true at all its fine to be wrong k.
But that's subjective. It is not a fact. People can have different opinions. Do I dislike M!Avatar? No. Do I like F!Avatar better? Yes. Is that wrong? No.

I honestly can't wait to see what idiocy IGN will say this time.
I'm in the same boat. IGN has so many stupid reviews that it's almost entertainment to see them. One of my favorite games ever was rated a 4 because they couldn't get past one of the early levels (which really isn't that difficult lol) and ignored the amazing story (seriously IGN, on what planet does Pokemon Mystery Dungeon deserve a 4/10!?). But anyway, I'm happy to see that Three Houses has a good score on Famitsu, even if some of their reviews have been questionable. Better positive than negative.

Well, I just found out that I have to get my wisdom teeth yanked out on release day. So hopefully the game comes in before or when I get back so I can do nothing but play FE and eat ice cream to avoid the pain. At least I get an excuse to play video games all day and eat ice cream without normal food first 😛

Male Byleth is the quiet, dark, "kirito-like" swordsman, wich is a character type i don't like anymore. Female Byleth has a worse outfit, but she herself seems more lively and emotional
Agreed. Overall I prefer the female avatar. Her hair is great and I'm really pleased with how they designed it. I also like that she's pretty tall (definitely taller than Edelgard and most of the other females) so that's a plus. As a tall woman myself, I like characters who are tall.

I'd like a true ending path, either joining forces later in every route or in a hidden path that unlocks after clearing the other three. I want to play with the full roster. I'll be mad if I can only play with a third of the cast in each gameplay.

The one thing I will not tolerate, however, is a pay-to-see--true-ending DLC.
I agree with both of these. I don't want to play a third of the cast only, I don't want an easy solution (but I do want an ending that isn't doom and gloom) and absolutely no pay-for-canon-ending DLC! Nobody wants that ever again.

I love both Edelgard and Dimitri's voices! Still going Blue Lions, but Black Eagles, why do you tempt me!? Eagerly awaiting the Golden Deer video!
-
I'll start on Normal as usual, with Casual mode. I have no patience for multiple resets.
-
I preordered the SE. It'll get here whenever it gets here, though hoping it arrives on the release date.
-
I'm putting my own Byleth as 18-20 or so. S/he doesn't look that much older than the students.

Personally, I'm slowly collapsing into a writhing tangle of impatience, desperately resenting every day between now and 3H release.
I'm in this category as well. I may stop lurking for a bit, I'm not sure yet. I have no other games I'm playing right now, so my attention will be solely on Three Houses when it arrives. I pre-ordered the special edition a while back, so it should arrive at my door when the game comes out. Very excited, but still cautious.

I'll make sure all my mages have sidearms so they don't get caught unawares if their magic is running out. I've always liked classes that let mages also have a physical weapon.

Playing as an Avatar opposite my actual gender in games with heavy relationship themes just make me feel uncomfortable.
Agreed. I'll play as the opposite gender only in games with no shipping mechanics. So I'll be F!Avatar as usual for FE3H. On the topic of who I want to romance...
Blue Lions: Dimitri, Sylvain, Ashe, or Linhardt (stolen from Black Eagles)
Black Eagles: Linhardt, Sylvain (stolen), or Ashe (stolen)
Golden Deer: Claude, Sylvain (stolen), Ashe (stolen), or Linhardt (stolen)

I'm going to abstain until I have the game and have a better feel of everyone. First impressions only take you so far.
-
I'm not sure how many we can get yet, but I've got four planned if possible.
When Blue Lions are picked
Units Recruited: Linhardt, Dorothea, Marianne, Lysithea
When Black Eagles are picked
Units Recruited: Sylvain, Ashe, Marianne, Ingrid
When Golden Deer are picked
Units Recruited: Sylvain, Linhardt, Dorothea, Ingrid

I'm in the mixed crowd. I don't play on Classic much (Casual and proud of it because I'd rather enjoy the game my way than reset a bunch because of RNG screwups) so the smaller roster won't affect me. However, I hope the characters have good personalities and are fleshed out. If they do that, I'm good. If not, maybe a smaller roster means less effort? I don't know yet.

I like Alois. His character is pretty relatable and interesting. Hope I can recruit him at some point!

DLC clothes, huh? Welp, be prepared for some exclusions/censorship in the west... 😕
Let's hope that any censorship will be minor. And that they actually pick good clothes instead of mindless fanservice crap.
6 hours ago, Ertrick36 said:Which is why I think a lot of those changes to female characters' designs are, in nature, even more sexist than simply leaving them as-is. It's all about our views of the female gender as sexual objects, and that's just not right.
Agreed. People can wear what they want. We may not like the outfit or think it's risque, but it's their choice. "Oh no, can't show a woman in a bathing suit. It'll make people into perverts!" News flash world, humans are already perverts. I like to see the best in humanity, but even I admit that people have the capacity to be horrible to others and absolutely disgusting. That's honestly why I don't like fanservice anymore, male or female, because it cheapens the characters by making them into sex objects.
So I hope most of the DLC clothing/accessories aren't just pandering to people who wanna see fanservice. Give us outfits like Robin's coat, Marth's outfit and crown, Ike's clothes... Things like that.

I'd take this site's inclination to trash on two of my favorite games over that scummy crap on GameFAQs any day of the week.
Indeed. I stay far away from GameFAQs forums. I really like Marianne's hair. She's going to be one of the characters I'll recruit/steal!

People there are prickly about how the women look, and they particularly disdain girls with spunk.
Exactly. I'm okay with her design. As a woman myself, I'm not a fan of really short hair as a matter of taste (chin-length bobs are really cute, though), but I have nothing against it either. I think people need to stop seeing women as mere fanservice and realize that women can look and act however they please.

I'm fine with it. It may take me a bit to get used to it, but Dexterity isn't a bad name change.
Love and Marriage: All supports available
in Fire Emblem: Three Houses

I don't mind the supports. I'm hoping to see some of the A-supports end in pairs like the GBA games, but not all of them need to end in marriage. I'm hoping Rhea and Sothis aren't related to Byleth like some people think. It's too obvious and a bit of a cop-out IMO. I'd rather a platonic ending for those.
