I have the special edition, which is a physical copy of all three versions. I know it doesn't take long, it only took fifteen minutes to get to the choice. I'm just wondering what happened and what I could have done to fix it. Strange thing is, I just checked and suddenly it's no longer grayed out. I'm assuming the official release of revelations patched it or something.

I think you may be misunderstanding. Very possible I'm the one misunderstanding though. To be absolutely certain, I'm talking about the Branch of Fate option in the main menu. You know, Continue, New Game, or Branch of Fate. I'm not talking about the choice in chapter 6.

So no solution? What do you mean by new file? Like, the delete all section in the main menu?

I don't know if this has been brought up before. A general Google search didn't help. I have the special edition and played through birthright first followed by conquest. Before finishing conquest, I never even checked to see if branch of fate was available, I just assumed it was considering it's a part of the game I purchased. When I wanted to start revelations, however, it was grayed out, like it was unavailable. Anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to resolve it?

I've been coming to Serenes Forest for a while now, mainly to keep up to date on FE news, but have never made a Forums account until now. I've been playing FE for years now, starting on FE7 when I was in high school. To date, I've played all the American releases with the exception of Radiant Dawn (never owned a Wii). Currently playing Fates: Revelations right now and I have been impressed with the added complexity of Fates in general.
