  1. All right then. Just need two more people, then we can start.
  2. He doesn't use heavy weapons. Naglfar is a heavy weapon.
  3. The first FE6 draft hasn't seen much activity for a while, so I wonder if there will be enough interest in another one. Guess I'll have to wait and see. Credit goes to Oval for the idea, etc. 5 participants (4 + myself), everyone gets Roy, Marcus(for the entire game this time, because I think that makes more sense), Merlinus, Fa + 10 draftees. I don't think Rutger is necessary for boss-killing, since Marcus is good enough for early game, and when he starts to slow down your other draftees should be able to handle them. If I'm wrong though, feel free to correct me. Rules: 1. Normal Mode, unless everyone wants Hard Mode. 2. Undrafted characters can NOT be used to meatshield or enter battle in any way(unequipped or otherwise). They may only: trade, visit shops(but not villages), recruit other characters, and rescue other undrafted characters. Four turn penalty for breaking this rule, per unit per chapter. 3. Pick order will be randomized, and will be a snake draft (1,2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2,1... etc.). 4. No RNG abuse or cheating, obviously(yet it needs to be said). 5. Thieves can be used to pick stuff up in the desert. Chapter 20x(both routes) no longer counts toward your turncount. Do not spend a ridiculous amount of turns here to boss/support abuse. Participants and drafting order: 1. Silvercrow 2. Radiant Dragon 3. Former Guest 4. Ezra 5. Aquilae Parties: Silvercrow: Alan, Saul, Chad, Gonzales, Fir, Klein, Treck, Hugh, Bors, Wendy Radiant Dragon: Dieck, Lugh, Zealot, Tate, Echidna, Lalum, Sue, Igrene, Barth, Dayan Former Guest: Geese, Lot, Ellen, Oujay, Astohl, Lilina, Elphin, Garret, Bartre, Dorothy Ezra: Lance, Rutger, Thany, Ray, Shin, Cecilia, Ward, Wolt, Yunno, Sophia Aquilae: Clarine, Miledy, Noah, Percival, Cath, Niime, Zeiss, Yodel, Douglas, Karel
  4. Look at the quote. You can find it in the Character Editor.
  5. Are Furetchen and The_Steel_Lance still doing this? Interim Tethys gets the Boots Swiftsoles, Ephraim gets Afa's Drops Metis's Tome. Sell the Master Seal. Chapter 16 (7/149) Saleh only has B staves, so no Warpskip yet… Joshua moves up, cuts down a mercenary, gets danced, and continues upwards. Vanessa kills the other mercenary and Saleh Barriers someone. Next turn, Lute and Vanessa kill the mages, Saleh Barriers Tethys and Joshua, and Joshua moves west toward the knights. Joshua kills a knight, gets danced, and goes toward the northern enemies, killing the Purge!Sage once he gets there. Lute kills the other knight, and Vanessa and Saleh start moving up. Lute ends up rescuing Eirika to get her to the throne faster, and Ephraim and Myrrh stay back to deal with the shamans and that swordmaster. And then I screw up. Bad positioning on my part gets Lute hit by the Horseslayer (Why are there so many Horseslayers in this game!?) and she is forced to dodge a Silver Sword!Hero, the Spear!Knight, and the Bolting!Sage. AND SHE DID. The chances of all that happening were so miniscule that I felt like I should restart anyway, since I hadn't relied on anything like that happening until now (Except for when Saleh got criticaled by a myrmidon I didn't realize had a Killing Edge). In the end, I decided to keep it since even if I hadn't misplaced her, it would not have changed the turncount. Anyway, Lute heals, Saleh kills the north-western enemies, Vanessa deals with the eastern warriors, Eirika kills the Bolting!Sage, and Ephraim and Myrrh finish killing shamans (Ephraim gets a perfect level up, putting Metis's Tome to good use). Joshua introduces Orson to Audhulma and wishes him farewell on the Enemy Phase. Then Eirika seizes, and the twins promote. Chapter 17 (3/152) This chapter is easy even without warpskip… Ephraim receives a Barrier from Saleh and moves west, gets danced, and moves next to the mountains. Vanessa goes with him, Myrrh flies north to distract wyvern riders, and everyone else books it for Syrene. Ephraim breaks the snag down, gets danced, and kills a mage. Vanessa attacks the sage and Saleh Physics her. Everyone else watches Myrrh struggle with wyvern riders and Syrene struggle with druids. Turn 3, Myrrh, Lute and Eirika finish the wyvern riders, Joshua blocks the heroes, and Vanessa recruits Syrene. Ephraim moves forward a little, gets danced again, and attacks Lyon with Siegmund, and gets Physic'd by Saleh. Lyon kills himself on the Enemy Phase. It annoys me that Reaver weapons were available during the chapter, but not on the map (and Nosferatu just annoys me every other playthrough, not being available to buy ANYWHERE). Chapter 18 (8 turns) EDIT: Turns out it was 8 turns. Pretty straight forward chapter: Kill the eggs before they hatch and kill/Stone me. Also, I forgot just how much experience can be gained in this chapter… In addition, Saleh finally reached A staves. Not much to say about the chapter itself though. Myrrh, Syrene and Pent Saleh go north-west, Vanessa and Lute went south, and everyone else (Eirika, Ephraim, Joshua and Tethys) went east then north. Ephraim ended up killing the boss, and what does he get as a reward? A crummy level up (so much for Metis's Tome…) and then he gets attacked by a reinforcement gargoyle equipped with a HORSESLAYER (I shouldn't even be surprised anymore…). Ephraim took the damage to the face like a man, and owned the enemy with Siegmund, showing it what REAL effective damage is. Chapter 19 (1/163) Damn, Warp is awesome… Lute runs forward and uses theTorch staff, revealing Riev. Eirika runs down, equips the Hoplon Guard and uses a Pure Water. Tethys dances for her and Saleh Warps her past the enemies. Eirika runs down and stabs Riev with Sieglinde, leaving him with 11HP. Riev kills himself on the Enemy Phase, before any of the enemies even moved. Apparently you get a Light Brand if all of the Rausten knights survive… Who knew? I'm probably going to finish this today... Maybe I'll try a FE6 draft afterward. Since I messed up the count on some chapters that ended on the Enemy Phase (and Chapter 10 somehow, which is seize...), I'll list the turncount for all of the chapters after the last two chapters, as recorded by the game. Chapter 20 (4 turns) More warpskiping! I even use Hammerne for the first time ever in this chapter (on Warp). Everyone just moves north on the first turn. Second turn, Ephraim runs forward, gets danced by Tethys and warped across the swamp by Saleh. He attacks Riev two squares below him with the Spear so the mogalls won't stand in front of Morva. Everyone else runs extermination duty on the monsters around them. Next turn, Saleh Physics Ephraim and Warps Eirika. Ephraim kills Riev, and everyone else just defends themselves against the Maelduins, and Lute repairs Warp. Turn four, Ephraim 1RKO's Morva with Siegmund, and Eirika seizes. Final Chapter (5 turns) Lute Barriers Ephraim, and Saleh Warps the twins up, where they kill the bonewalkers. Myrrh started flying over north as well. Ephraim runs onto the stairs leading to Lyon, equipped with a Short Spear to counter-kill enemies. Eirika was pinned down by two bonewalkers with bows and a dracozombie. Myrrh continued toward Lyon. Saleh baits the right dracozombie on turn 2 so he could Physic Ephraim on turn 3. Ephraim weakens Lyon on turn 3, and combines with Myrrh to kill him on turn 4. Part 2, Saleh Rescues Joshua and Myrrh, and they along with the twins are able to kill the Demon King in one turn. 6. Double posting's allowed because this is a project log right? Anyway... Chapter 13 (3/121) Three turn assassination chapter. Cormag needs to learn to be more punctual. Eirika and Vanessa go north and south respectively to eliminate the ballista threats, everyone else moves toward Aias. Joshua equips his Lancereaver and breaks it as enemies suicide onto him. So much for criticaling to save uses… Actually, it was kind of interesting towatch enemy hit rates go from about 7% with the Lancereaver to about 54% with the Steel Sword. FE10 HM removing the weapon triangle does have some merits, I suppose. Next turn, Saleh heals Joshua and the others move forward to get rid of the archers in between them and Aias. Vanessa moves back up with Tethys's help. Finally, Vanessa attacks Aias withthe Heavy Spear, gets hit for the first time in three chapters, and Joshua finishes him with his Armorslayer (that thing has killed so many bosses, you'd think this was FE6). Interim Buy more Thunder tomes and an Unlock for Saleh. Sell all my useless Axes and Bows, as well as a Hero Crest and an Ocean Seal. Chapter 14 (10/131) This wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Then again, I did get kind of lucky hitting Carlyle with 44% and 55% attacks. Deployed L'Arachel to recruit Rennac. Saleh starts by using Unlock on the door, getting danced, and killing the knight. Lute moves behind him, and everyone moves up around them. Vanessa rescues Eirika. The enemies all suicide onto Saleh during the Enemy Phase. L'Arachel moves forward, getsdanced, then recruits Rennac, moving back to stay out of enemy range. Saleh, Lute and Joshua all move forward, with Vanessa not far behind. Rennac trades the Member Card to Vanessa. Enemy Phase comes, and I'm confident that Saleh can handle it all like last time. First comes a myrmidon, and I'm not worried until – uh-oh, he has a Killing Edge and – NO! Saleh only has 1HP left! He still has to deal shamans with WTA and some fighters, who admittedly have pretty poor hit. My fingers are hovering over the reset buttons, but each enemy attacks and misses until Saleh kills them all. Following that traumatic episode, Saleh gets a well-deserved healing and everyone keeps moving north, Tethys grabbing the Spear and Hammerne with the Chest Keys I bought a while back. As the group moves into the narrow north corridor, Lute opens the door with Saleh's Unlock, and everyone moves down except for Tethys, who stood next to the Berserk priest so Rennac could escape the cavaliers coming from the south while staying out of its range. Vanessa drops Eirika in seize range on her way to the Secret Shop, and Lute, Saleh and Joshua start swinging at Carlyle (who surprised me with his lack of willingness to dodge). Once Vanessa reaches the shop, she buys an Elysian Whip (Finally!), a Physic, and some Killing Edges/Lances. I'm about to leave the shop when I stop, think, and sell the Member Card to buy two more Killer Weapons. Carlyle falls, and Eirika seizes. Chapter 15 (11/142) Before the chapter, Vanessa went Wyvern Knight for the extra 3 Con. Joshua grabbed Audhulma, and Saleh took Excalibur and Physic. Deployed two metal detectors. Once the chapter starts, Joshua and Colm went west, Eirika and Lute east, everyone else south. Saleh sits on a fort and kills wyvern riders with a brand-new Thunder tome (which breaks by the end of the chapter), then moves so Rennac can grab the Boots Swiftsoles, thenTethys lets him move out of enemy range. Eirika and Lute take care of the eastern enemies and wait for reinforcements. Joshua kills mages on the Player Phase, letting everything else suicide onto him on the Enemy Phase, and Colm avoids combat. Vanessa's main goal is to book it down south to provide support for Ephraim, who's only level 1015 (wait, what? That looks a bit high…). While that is going on, Joshua stands in front of Caellach and equips Audhulma. He then decides to show up Colm by finding Warp. Rennac keeps moving toward the Silver Card, trying to stay out of everyone's way. Saleh Physic's Ephraim, gets danced, and then with Vanessa they proceed to wreck havoc with their awesome Thunder/Killer Lance skills. Ephraim just Reignlief's the hell out of the cavaliers and rangers. Joshua finishes Caellach in 3 hits, Rennac gets the Silver Card and then moves toward Metis's Tome to get away from the pegasus knights, and Duessel rescues Knoll and runs away from where the reinforcements will arrive while Ephraim runs toward where they will arrive. Saleh hits Valter with Excalibur and Vanessa kills him with a critical. Joshua starts killing shamans while Colm grabs Silence, since he no longer has anything better to do. The rest of the chapter consisted of: Eirika, Lute and Joshua finishing the northern reinforcements, Rennac finding the Metis's Tome, Knoll trying (and predictably, failing) to find the Wyrmslayer, Vanessa grabbing the Master Seal on the last turn, and Ephraim and Saleh killing the reinforcements with Tethys's help. 7. Best: Farina if she counts, Riev otherwise. Worst: FE9!Oliver. Only useful if all your other healers somehow died.
  8. While that's true, if Rennac (can undrafted characters visit secret shops?) or someone can't make it in time, she'll have to take the Master Seal in C15, which will slow both her and Ephraim down a couple turns. Edit: Vanessa ended up making it to the Secret Shop, so it's all good.
  9. More progress, with stats after the inevitable edit. Chapter 10 (5/97) Do I regret not recruiting Marisa?…No, not really. Lute and Joshua take on the enemies just south of their starting positions, mostly for self-improvement since they'll both promote at the end of the chapter. Vanessa rescues Eirika and flies onto the mountains just outside of the ballista's range. Next turn, she drops Eirika on the house next to the Arena and flies away from the Lancereaver mercenary and the right-most ballista. Eirika takes out the mercenary and one of the myrmidons on the Enemy Phase. Vanessa finishes the other myrmidon and Eirika kills an archer. Then she waits next to Pablo with Orson's Silver Sword and Vanessa finishes the other archer (she wasn't hit at all during the chapter, despite the fact that she would survive a ballista hit with1HP remaining, so the Elixir I spent 3000 gold on last chapter just stayed in her inventory… I'll find a use for it eventually). Turn 5, Vanessa kills Pablo with a Javelin and Eirika seizes. Interim Promoted Lute (15/1 Mage Knight) and Joshua (17/1 Swordmaster) with Pablo's Guiding Ring and Gerik's Hero Crest. Gave Vanessa the Secret Book from Chapter 5 (Javelins have horrible hit) and Tethys's Goddess Icon. Bought a Mend, a Torch staff, and some Chest Keys which might see some use later. Chapter 11 (11/108) Does the chapter end if L'Arachel dies? I don't remember. Anyway, I sent Vanessa down south through the Revenants to the boss. Everyone else went east, Lute using Torch to light the way. Tethys was already proving her usefulness, letting Lute heal and fight in the same turn, saving me turns of using Vulneraries. On the subject of self-healing, Vanessa hasn't been hit at all since I gave her that Elixir... Vanessa drew the boss on turn 3, killed him on turn 4 with a critical, then moved back up to deal with the reinforcement Revenants that appear where the party starts. The others moved through the building, Lute killing Mogalls while taking 1 damage back and OHKOing Mauthe Doogs with Elfire. Joshua killed the Bonewalkers and some of the Gargoyles with the Lancereaver. Eirika also killed some things and Tethys just danced. Vanessa moves back down to deal with the Mogalls and other monsters while Lute uses the Torch again and… whoa, that's a lot of dudes behind that door. Tethys dances and Joshua with the Lancereaver moves down to take the brunt of the assault as the camera pans up and I realize more reinforcements just appeared in the north-east. Joshua finishes cleaning up the south and begins to move west past L'Arachel, grabbing the Short Spear on the way (because I can). Lute goes back up to kill stuff up north after healing Joshua (thank you, Tethys). Last turn, and there's only three enemies left. Eirika kills the Toxin Lance Bonewalker, Vanessa kills the one with the Chest Key. I planned on Lute killing the archer Bonewalker so Joshua could grab the Restore. He opens the chest, and the last enemy is devoured by fog. Damn. The only two left to move are Tethys and Lute, but Tethys isn't close enough to see the monster. But then I realize there was a reason I drafted her. So Lute uses the Torch on the monster, watches Tethys twirl, and then kills it with Fire. I can imagine Marisa at the mercenary's headquarters, wondering where her beloved chief is… Chapter 12 (11/119) Saleh joins! Time for staff abuse. Vanessa fights the Bael in the mountains where the party starts, and afterwards she deals with the one further south. Everyone else moves east until the reinforcements come. Vanessa takes the Gargoyles south-east, and Lute goes back to deal with the Mauthe Doogs and the rest of the Gargoyles. The rest of the party moves north. Joshua fights the enemies near the boss, Saleh takes care of the ones around the villages and Eirika goes toward the shop. Things got hairy when the Vanessa's enemies decided they wanted to fight Lute instead, forcing her to dodge about six Steel Lance hits in a row. At least Vanessa managed to kill the Horseslayer one… Saleh grabs the Energy Ring and Barrier, using the latter on the former to increase his staff rank as Eirika struggles with the Gargoyles and the Revenant. I might've done this chapter faster if I had sent someone else to fight the enemies near the shop, however… Eirika takes the Energy Ring after the chapter. I was happy that Vanessa was finally going to promote, but then I realized that Aias was going to die long before Cormag would show up… I just realized, Eirika and Vanessa are tied for the most defense on my team... 10. Sorry for the lack of updates. I've started my first playthrough of FE4, and that along with real life have kept me busy. Chapter 9 (15/92) I wish I could've done this faster, but my team just isn't durable enough. So, I couldn't get to either of the villages because I needed Vanessa with the others to fight. An Angelic Robe for Lute and an Elysian Whip for Vanessa would've cut down turns and let me get to the villages, but I don't have Colm… Started out by going west, Lute killing the archer and soldier. Everyone continued forward to kill mercenaries and bait the sniper. Joshua stayed to kill the reinforcements,Vanessa killed the Killing Edge myrmidon, and Lute and Eirika moved south. Damn, archers are annoying. It's hard to let Vanessa handle those fighters and mages when there are archers lurking right behind them. And those pirates that just trashed the village surrounded Eirika without actually attacking her, which was weird. I decided that if the pirates weren't going to attack me I'll let Joshua handle them while the others deal with Amelia's the Speedwing's soldiers. Of course, next turn they decide that pacifism isn't in the code and try and kill Lute. Thankfully, she dodges and they die (one might've avoided the double, but I don't remember). Then, Eirika recruits a Speedwings after dodging about 4 attacks at 5HP (Seriously, the fighters hit her and everything else missed. I'd planned for the reverse, but that worked too, I suppose…). After Lute took out the soldiers (her HP/Def combination allowed her to survive both hits with 1HP left), the girls move east toward Binks; Eirika and Lute sharing an Elixir, Vanessa settling for a Vulnerary. Joshua moved toward the center to kill the pirates who had destroyed Eirika's second Rapier. At last, Lute killed the shaman and the archers (did you know that the archers around Binks don't move? Stationary archers… pathetic) while Eirika and Vanessa killed the mercenaries. They all combined to finish Binks on the Enemy Phase. Before I begin the next chapter, I wonder: will Marisa be worth the turns needed to recruit her? Next chapter, I can rescue drop Eirika over the mountains and seize quickly, but after the last chapter and my screw up of chapter 1, I don't think I can afford to waste any more turns. Thoughts?

  12. More updates! Chapter 6 (7/60) I hate this chapter. I really hate this chapter. Now that that's off my chest… First I tried going up, but Lute got ganged up on by two cavaliers and was killed about 10 seconds into the Enemy Phase. So I abandoned that plan, and used the forests to the east to protect my units as I moved into the fog. I placed Joshua so that he would be able to land on the fort on turn 2, where he killed quite a few more enemies than I thought he would face, so my Armorslayer only has 8 uses left… The girls just stayed in the forest and tried not to bite off more than they could chew. I was really missing Eirika's Rapier when dealing with those cavaliers (although it still has one use left). The rest of the chapter consisted of Joshua moving up to the forest tile next to Novala, where he countered with the Steel Sword, and thanks to 2 +str level ups, he was able to finish him off even after the priest healed him. I'm really glad I picked Joshua for this draft. Even if he does nothing else for the rest of the game, I will still be glad I drafted him. Also, apparently Vanessa managed to get 4 levels in that chapter somehow. And Lute got none. Chapter 7 (7/67) Murray is annoying to kill with only one use of the Rapier left… Vanessa grabs Eirika and moves up, Joshua and Lute move east to kill the first soldier. After killing the soldiers guarding the bridge to Murray and getting attacked by the Thunder mage, Eirika moves up and finishes her Elixir, and Vanessa kills the mage. Lute kills the soldier that attacked her and Joshua moves to counter-kill the fighters. Those archers are also annoying…They block off the bridge so Eirika is forced to kill one of them, which wastes me another turn. Then she stands in front of Murray with the last use of her Rapier equipped as Joshua and Lute move toward the mercenaries, killing the fighter along the way. Afterwards they move down to deal with the mage and fighter that started north of the party. Eirika Rapiers Murray, then finishes him with the Killing Edge and seizes. If it wasn't for those meddling archers and the Rapier's durability, I could've finished this chapter 2 turns sooner. Chapter 8 (10/77) Everyone runs up to kill the northern knight and soldiers, and the mercenary dies on the Enemy Phase. Next turn, Vanessa stays to kill the archer and myrmidon while Lute moves to counter-kill the shaman and Joshua and Eirika move closer to the door. Ephraim appears and starts killing stuff in the southwest and the reinforcement cavaliers while Forde rescues Kyle and stays out of the enemy's range. Joshua, Lute and Eirika kill the knights in the room and then continue down and west to Tirado and the throne. Once there, Eirika takes out the soldiers, Vanessa finishes off the knight, Lute kills mages, and Joshua crit-kills Tirado with the Armorslayer, allowing me to seize a turn earlier. Going Eirika route to get my draftees sooner, and because it's supposed to be faster. Edit: My posts keep getting screwed up after I post them... And screw unit stats for now.
  13. I looked at my turncount for Chapter 1, and now I'm wondering why I wasted turns killing the reinforcements... I hope I can make those turns up somewhere. Chapter 4 (6/33) Eirika's Rapier has 1 use left… Eirika moves east to kill a Revenant on the Enemy Phase and Vanessa kills the enemies directly north of the river. Vanessa then recruits Lute, who attacks the nearby Bonewalker, as Eirika kills a Mogall and Artur stays out of range of the reinforcements. Eirika kills all of the eastern Bonewalkers and heals,Vanessa moves north to deal with the reinforcements and Lute moves east. Next turn, Eirika kills a Mogall while Vanessa and Lute battle Revenants. Artur puts his Monk training to use by staying out of my way. Eirika kills the last Mogall, Vanessa kills the last Revenants, and Lute baits the boss, then kills it to end the chapter on turn 6. Interim Replaced Vanessa's almost broken Slim Lance (it had 3 uses left) and bought 2 Javelins for later. Chapter 5 (9/42) Eirika, Lute and Natasha move east while Vanessa grabs the Dragonshield because my team is going to need it. She then killed a soldier while Lute and Eirika killed the eastern brigands. Then Eirika baits the archers and fighters, and Lute finished them and a fighter that came from the east after using the Dragonshield. Eirika baited Joshua on the forest (and thanked the local deity that she wasn't crit-killed), and Natasha recruited him. Vanessa traded the Armorslayer and a Vulnerary to him, and he moved up to take out the boss. Meanwhile, the girls had their hands full taking out a soldier and a couple of brigands. Finally, Lute grabbed the Secret Book while Eirika and Vanessa helped Joshua clear the north so he could stand in front of Saar with the Armorslayer and heal, counter-killing him on the Enemy Phase. Chapter 5x (11/53) First, Ephraim missed TWO 90% displayed shots against a soldier with a Steel Lance, in a row, which pissed me off. Its stuff like that which makes me hate Fire Emblem sometimes… Anyway, Forde traded his Javelin and Vulnerary to Ephraim, and his Steel Sword to Orson. Orson and Ephraim moved up to fight the soldiers; Kyle traded his stuff to Forde and rescued him. After counter-killing the soldiers (despite ONLY have 90% displayed...) Ephraim and Orson continued to move north then east and finally south toward the throne. Orson got the boss kill, and an awesome level up. Afterwards he traded his stuff to Kyle, and Ephraim seized. 14. Double post, bah... I'm not going to be using undrafted units to meatshield, so they're not going to get involved in combat (unless they're still other units). They're not supposed to exist, and they're definitely existing if enemies are attacking them instead of my drafted units. But if it's not against the rules, I guess I can't stop people from doing it. Anyway, onto the playlog! Prologue (3/3) The usual three turn clear, thanks to fixed RNG. Moving on… Chapter 1 (8/11) Seth traded his Steel Sword (Even though Eirika can't use it… Yet) and Vulnerary, and Eirika made a beeline for the fort, where she faced the first soldier and fighters. A turn after the reinforcements show up, she moves to the forest tile and uses a Vulnerary, where she killed them and the right soldier guarding Breguet. Her sword rank increased somewhere in there as well. Afterwards, she moves up and uses another Vulnerary, equipping the Steel Sword to 1RKO the last soldier. Which she does. Finally, she moves up, finishes her Vulnerary, and kills Breguet with a Rapier crit on the Enemy Phase, saving me a turn. Chapter 2 (7/18) Eirika and Vanessa visit villages while the brigand that attacks Ross gets killed by the improbable occurrence of getting hit by three axes in a row while standing on a forest tile. The girls move down, with Vanessa standing on the Armory to bait the brigand, while Garcia misses the archer. Eirika finishes the brigand while baiting another as the reinforcements arrive, and Vanessa heals herself. The archer hits Ross (who lives, surprisingly), gets countered, then gets killed by Garcia. The reinforcement brigands attack the girls while Ross heals up. Eirika and Vanessa trade enemies and kill them both as Eirika gets an awesome level up (everything but resistance). The last brigand attacks Eirika (who misses with the Steel Sword) as Bone destroys my Pure Water I mean…kills innocent civilians, the bastard! Anyway… Eirika weakens the brigand that attacked her so it will suicide against her during the Enemy Phase, and Vanessa heals outside its range. Finally, Eirika attacks Bone, and Vanessa kills him during the Enemy Phase. After the chapter, Ross and Garcia recruit themselves (more like Ross recruits himself and Garcia, but whatever). Chapter 3 (9/27) Eirika and Vanessa combine to break the wall as Neimi moves north. Eirika counter-kills the brigand, and then she and Vanessa break the next wall as well. Neimi moves next to Colm but doesn't recruit him yet. Next, Eirika kills the hand-axe brigand while Vanessa heals. Colm weakens a brigand that attacks him and loots an Iron Sword. Anyway, Vanessa finishes the thief that attacked Eirika (and gets everything but luck her level up) while Eirika kills an archer. Eirika and Vanessa move ahead, and Colm kills the brigand and loots a Hand Axe. After the girls combine to kill the next two brigands, Vanessa kills the mercenary while Eirika kills Bazba and seizes. 15. This is my first draft, so I'm going to outline my choices and why, and get some useful feedback on whether or not my reasons are sound. Vanessa: Rescue dropping and being a decent fighter later on should make up for the fact that she joins during an axefest and gets 2HKO at decent hit rates for a while. I'm hoping to catch her up when she recruits Lute in Chapter 4. Lute: Maybe not a good second pick choice, but I thought Forde might drop to a 3rd round pick. She should 2HKO a lot of enemies, and when she starts doubling she should prove her worth as a 2nd pick... hopefully. Joshua: I was hoping to get Forde, but... I drafted him for always doubling with decent offence. And because I hate Chapter 6, so having another person should help. Saleh: He's a worse Pent in an easier game, so it all balances out. I'm going to spam staves so he can use warp later on. Tethys: Again, I want to know if dancer type units can shave off enough turns to make up for the fact that they can't fight. Hopefully she will be worth it. Marisa: I picked her before I remembered I had Joshua too... In all honesty though, she was still probably better than what's left, and I was sure I was going to be able to get Dozla 7th pick. Syrene: This is the only draft where Dozla wasn't the last one left over... So I got Syrene, since she wasn't a late joining trainee, and I thought that she should be able to shave more turns in Chapters 18 and 20 then L'Arachel could in her entire existence. I'm probably wrong though... Anyway, I'll start recording my progress soon.
  16. Syrene for flying utility (and not failing as much as everyone else that's left).
  17. I was hoping to get Neimi... Marisa then, I guess...
  18. I'm want to see if dancers shave a significant amount of turns in these drafts, so... Tethys!
  19. Actually, I'm taking Lute next. I might be gone for a while (should be on tomorrow sometime, though), so I'll take Joshua if Cooper takes Ross and Kyle.
  20. No, I didn't. Edit: Sorry. This is the second time today I've confused someone with somebody else... I'm slipping.
  21. Hey, Paperblade is here. It doesn't look like the other two are, though...
  22. Whoops, sorry about that. It was Core that used Seth as a distraction. I wonder how I made that mistake...
  23. That I can agree with, it makes sense. In some of the other drafts it seems that people were using them to protect their draftees or distract the enemies. I think Integrity managed to get Seth killed like that...
  24. Rescuing Ross I agree with, because recruiting him is nigh impossible otherwise (although if he does survive, him and Garcia join at the end of the chapter even if no one talks to them). But letting undrafted player units meatshield and distract enemies really reduces the worth of high durability units, even if they can't fight. Why would I draft someone who can survive enemies if I can use them to protect my units anyway? I realize meatshielding has been legal in the previous drafts, but perhaps we should play this one without it, if nothing else to see how it affects turncounts?
