  1. The game does encourage you to mix the Fates black and white sets. On top of that, it's not too difficult to run mixed color decks since the rules aren't too strict about how to use them. As for pacing, I find that it mostly depends on how you decide to play. In my opinion, not a lot of decks cater to defense, but it's more on how you use your deck that can be good for defensive play. I've had games that ended pretty quickly (in about 4 turns each side), and games that went on to upwards of 7 turns each.
  2. The only booster box I've had so far is the one from the PoR/Fates set that I split. -On my first pack I pulled a holographic Tibarn (nothing else special about it though). I gasped when I saw it since Tibarn is one of my favorites and this was before I realized holos were in every pack (I thought the holo was special, but man did I have a lot to learn...). -I got a holographic Leanne. It's not that special but I thought it was pretty cool. -I got a SR Nohr Azura and a SR Hoshido promoted Corrin. Both holographic. -I pulled a R+ holographic Nina card. Given that I had 8 booster packs, I thought this was pretty cool. I'm really hoping to find another booster box for a decent price and some autograph cards in said box.
  3. Thanks for the clarification, guys. Also I am running only a green deck at the moment (I slightly modified the starter deck with some cards I pulled from a booster box) so this info was pretty useful for me. I only realized just how many possibilities there are in your potential deck strategies after playing my first match. It's nice to see and I really look forward to playing more.
  4. Hey guys. I just recently started playing the FE Cipher and I've read/watched rule explanations in multiple places. I understand most of the rules (enough to be able to play the game at a rookie level I think) but I still have a few questions that I haven't been able to figure out and haven't really incorporated in the match I've played. 1. What's the significance of flipping a bond over? I know it's mostly done as a result of a skill activation, but is it essentially just tapping a bond for a skill? And do the flipped bonds go back to normal at the end when everything is untapped? 2. How does stacking work? What is the significance of stacking units and what is it useful for? Thank you to anyone who can answer my questions.
