"Were my heart my master, I would do exactly as you say. But what sort of knight abandons his kingdom -his king!- now, when they need him the most? Would you have me toss away the life I have built as if it meant nothing at all?"
-Camus
To me, this is the most noticeable quote of the series. All of Camus' actions show that he is a good person, and that while he is morally good, his vow of loyalty took precedence over his beliefs. He may have gone against his kingdom for the sake of Nyna but in the end, he kept his word and died as a knight of Grust.
