  1. I find the "Diversity wouldn't make sense because it's based on Europe and everyone's white" argument hilarious. True, in a historical fiction set in, say, medieval Sweden, it wouldn't make too much sense for there to be more than one minority character (unless the focus of the story was about foreigners or something). But Fire Emblem is not set in the real world. Do you hear these same people saying, "Well, they should remove magic from the games, as it does not exist in the real world"? No. No, you do not. Especially since nobility fights in the front lines of a war and talks to peasants, it's safe to assume that this is vastly different culturally.

We should get more diversity honestly, since we hadn't too many in the past. I don't really consider Hoshidans to be "East Asian" per se - few of them have the dark hair, and their skin is as fair as or often lighter than the Nohrians. True, their are the names, but because I have a Nordic name does not mean I am Scandinavian. I would like a more noticeably East Asian character, if you will.

  2. Turkey's reaction to this is pretty hilarious, as their government has pretty much no concept of free speech (as seen when they jail people for speaking the truth about the Armenian Genocide). The government is starting to get a bit unstable and totalitarian, so maybe they need to be put in their place.

  3. I'd like the lord to start out as a leader of thieves, and be sort of a Robin Hood/Zorro type of character. He enters a war accidentally by fighting a corrupt politician from Nation A, so he escapes to Nation B, an enemy of Nation A. Things go well for a while, and he will have some character development. However, soon Nation B will find out about his background and will want nothing to do with him, forcing them to be on the run from both nations.

  4. Kinda sad, but plenty of countries in that region take "blasphemy" charges very seriously. A few countries even have the death penalty for such "crimes". I know that everyone can have their beliefs, but when the government is essentially forcing people to comply with their religion, that is simply inexcusable. Such things are no better than the Spanish Inquisition to me.

also, why i posted this here is because i feel like someone already made this kind of post, so that would probably count as rapid-firing the same thing.

I was the one who first suggested such a thing, I believe.

Well, if you streamline it a bit it could be pratical, as a feature in a regular game maybe. Having it support all FE games is unrealistic, so it would likely apply to the only to the game it's on, and just use classes, weapons, etc. from that game. Music is debatable - having every track seems a bit much, but it wouldn't be hard to add a few tracks from the older games. Customization is unnecessary, although maybe the boss can use the Avatar's customization system (as all the models would already be in the game). Maps would have to use basic forest, mountain, water, etc. tiles. Enemy skills and stats would be customizable. Although you wouldn't be able to make a full game, it would at least be fun to make a few levels.

Of course, most of the levels people would make on this system would probably suck. However, I can honestly say the same thing about Mario Maker.

  6. The weakest units are Nyx and Odin, like many others said. I'll also add Mozu, while she can turn out really good, in a route like Conquest where there is limited experience, it's just not worth it to dump that much experience on one character. Shura is not that great either, his stats here are weakest out of the three routes.

For some good ones, the royals and Niles are obvious. I'll add Kaze, he's more useful here than in the other paths as speedy units are uncommon in Conquest, and Keaton, an all-around good unit - good Defense, good Strength, Speed that's good enough to prevent doubling, etc. He's also a good anti-cavalry unit.
