  1. I don't know, Zelda did an avatar protagonist excellently with several amazing stories; Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Skyward Sword in particular. Then again, Zelda is not Fire Emblem, so it might not be possible to do what Zelda did in an FE game.

Link doesn't talk, and I really don't think Zelda stories are as complex as Fire Emblem.

  2. Everybody's bones are different in some ways. It's not just humans, but animals are the same. You can get 10 skulls of the same kind of animal, and each of them would have it's own little differences. There's nothing to worry about.

  3. If it'll make you feel any better, I'm sure Hong Kong will treat you like shit too, if you're Asian. Unless you are from Hong Kong.

I know a guy who's white, but married a girl from mainland China and they live went to Hong Kong. When the guy was by himself at restaurants and bars, they treat him like a king. They constantly trying to make him comfortable. They even offered him free drinks. When he had dinner with his wife, they were met with crappy service. They don't seem to like other Asians too, but I don't know how much truth there is to this.

I am Chinese, but grew up in America. right now I'm working in China, and it is just strange. Xenophobia is very weird in that while people might hate you, you also get extra perks by being foreign. I'm told the African folks living there offer to help Chinese locals make police calls because the police gets here faster if they think a foreigner is in trouble. If it's a regular Chinese citizen, they'll take their time. I'm not saying this is necessarily a good thing, I just want to show how non-nonsensical xenophobia can be.

I'm an expat living in China, not Asian.

What city do you live in? I'd love to make some new friends that I can talk to more fluently. Or hell, talk about Fire Emblem.

  4. I want to add that I DETEST characters like Robin, Chris, and Korrin. I hate these narcissistic self inserts into the story. I'm still trying to decide who is the worst out of the 3 of them.

I don't think I'd mind Robin as much if he was a regular pre-designed character. Also no POV FMV's.

Plus, who is Grima? Is he Medeus? Did they just throw him into the story out of nowhere? Why connect it to FE3 if you're going to screw up the canon with this all new enemy?

As everyone pointed out, the connection the Gaiden was incredibly lame. They could have saved it by showing us if only just the corpse of Doma so we know WTF it's suppose to be, that would have saved that section of the story. Even a skeleton of Doma. I don't care!

I don't mind time travel to unit the 2 generations though. I thought that was a clever idea. FE4 already did the time skip.

  5. I think I would pick Amalda's route for your first play through. That route is less frustrating. The stupid forest area is annoying as hell. First, you get through the place at a crawl due to trees everywhere. Then you have these hidden teleport traps that'll wrap your characters to another section of the map, causing you to travel further. Then there are the dark forest areas that you can't pass through. It's really hard to see since they are only slightly darker than the regular trees. One of the worst maps in Fire Emblem IMO. Awful awful chapter.

  6. Is it actually stated he doesn't have Minor Lopt?

I would think they wanted him dead because, having already their Major Lopt vessel, they saw Cyas's Major Fala as too dangerous to leave him be, even if he had Minor Lopt.

Yeah, I always wondered about that. It feels like we're doing biology homework right now.

  7. You already took this girl to the prom?

Just ask her out and don't overthink it. All you need is to be confident, and don't take rejection too personal. There's no magic bullet to asking a girl out. None of us will know how she'll respond. No one can read minds. Hell, we know her less than you.

Stand up straight, look her in the eye, and ask if she wants to go out with you. If she rejects you just say, ok cool, thanks anyway, and walk away.

I'm not a casanova either, but I know for fact that when it works, it's really simple.

  8. Depression isn't always about feeling down on yourself. Having a complete disinterest in everything is very much a sign of depression. That being said, it's not really a big deal to feel depressed once in a while. It's when you feel that way all the time that it becomes an issue.

Clinical depression is no joke. I recommend OP to see a doctor if this continues.

It's also true that everyone gets into that mood once in a while. You feel unmotivated and don't have any interest in doing things.
