  1. Just posting this here in case someone also decided to play path of radiance on maniac mode for their first play through using the translation patch, after a bit of work I determined the only thing you need to do is hex edit the region at the very start of the .gci save from GFEJ to GFEE. I am pretty sure this was not intended as the transfer screen looks like this. http://imgur.com/gallery/Nj6Aa Just want to add that the English patch for the Japanese path of radiance worked fine and I also made subtitled versions of the Japanese cutscenes but I am not sure where I should post them.
  2. So I looked around both the forums and the rest of the internet quite a bit but I could not find anything so I though I should ask here, How do you transfer path of radiance data to radiant dawn if you played the Japanese version of path of radiance but want to play the English version of radiant dawn?
  3. my bad, do you have a repository with all the scrips like you had with genealogy?
  4. Issues I have come across Dolph has weird death message Tomas has no death message but part of text window comes up The heal preview screen where you select your staff is in Thracian Item acquired and level up notifications are in Japanese Open chest menu icon is in Thracian, put a general with a key on a chest Screen flashes weirdly when time runs out Item descriptions are in Thracian That being said thank you for updating the translation patch, now people don't speak Thracian when they die.
  5. I made this guide as all the resources and information required to play BS fire emblem are spread out across various websites and I could not find a that had everything required to play BS fire emblem. Things you will need to download: SnesGT(better than snes9x for BS emulation): http://www.zophar.net/snes/snesgt.html Rom dump of each broadcast(rules say I can't link them) Translation for first map(credit to joesteve1914): http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=50511 Patch needed to make the game start: www.oocities.org/starwolf_uk/BSFE/fepatches.zip Finally, an ips patcher(you probably already have one): http://www.romhacking.net/utilities/240/ Steps 1. Decompress SNESGT and roms to somewhere of your choice. 2. Patch all game roms with corresponding patch from FEpatches(fourth link) 2.5. (optional) Patch the first map with the translation 3. Start SNESGT and go to options, settings, BS and change time to 7:13 PM 3.5. (optional) watch the video for the map you are playing up to the point the map starts 4. open rom and try to sync the original video with your game time as much as possible to get the best sound experience. Extra notes If you feel the game is running too quickly press tab, pressing tab switches between double speed and normal speed. Left shift is the default speed button, you can change it by going to option, settings, controller Also savestates are pretty much useless Other Stuff: Videos of original broadcast BS Fire Emblem - Akaneia Senki Hen - Dai-1-wa: BS Fire Emblem - Akaneia Senki Hen - Dai-2-wa: BS Fire Emblem - Akaneia Senki Hen - Dai-3-wa: BS Fire Emblem - Akaneia Senki Hen - Dai-4-wa: Bios dump of satellaview(english translation): http://bsxproj.superfamicom.org/ How to patch roms: Outdated guide that was very useful: http://www.oocities.org/starwolf_uk/BSFE/bsferun.htmEdit: would anyone be interested in creating an English version of the audio track?
  6. So I decided to to a last minute entry for #TIBA(an anime abridging contest) and the anime I chose to abridge was Fire emblem awakening Fire emblem OVA. Because this is for #TIBA you cannot be in any other #TIBA entry. The reason I am posting about it here is because I need people for all the roles. You can find more information at https://www.castingcall.club/projects/fire-emblem-ova-abridged-tiba Finished product here
  7. Ok, so I have been looking into hacking the fire emblem ds games as they have a lot of documentation from the heroes of light and shadow people and there are not many hacks for these games. The documentation is well done and easy to follow so I though I would use the ds fire emblems instead of the gba ones. My question is, is there a program like dslazy that lets you decompress ds roms that works on windows 10, as most guides say use dslazy but from experimentation it does not decompress the full rom when running it on windows 10, however it did work on windows 7.
