  1. I chose FE7, because I love how emotional and complicated it gets once you start dealing with the Black Fang villains. It makes me want to cry every time I put the finishing touch on Linus/Lloyd with Nino or Legault. Then there are the morphs and the different ways the react to their "puppet" status. Also, Nergal is a decent enemy once you get to know his backstory a little bit better.

I also like FE8 and FE10 though, mainly due to Selena and Sephiran.

  2. I think I've got a bit of formula going. The most ordinary characters in this game (Serra, Bartre, etc.) have their stats at level twenty average at about 19, while the worst and best units average at about 2-3 under and 2-3 over consecutively. Level 1 base stats will amount to about 35 if you halve the HP. Growths are about 40-45 percent except for defense (which is 35 for melee units and 20 for mages), resistance (which is 15 for melee and 40 for mages) and HP (which is generally around 70 percent). That would make Eliwood one of the most ordinary units in the game.

  3. Hey,

I'm building some fangame stuff mainly just for fun and I would like to get some answers on what exactly an ordinary FE7-style stat layout looks like. So basically I want to know:

Average base stats at level 1

    Average growths

    Average promotion gains

    Average stats at level 20/20

    Average stat caps

And lastly, how much give-or-take I have on these to avoid making a character who is OP or just plain sucks.

I know I can figure this out on my own and I have mostly, but I wanted to double-check here. I'm creating some new classes, and I don't want them to not fit in. Thanks for the help!

  4. I think they should make titles for both handhelds and consoles. They can let the handhelds focus on higher accessibility and special handheld innovations like marriages, casual mode, and unlimited resources, while the console titles can be more JRPG, with a heavier emphasis on cutscenes, graphics, and storyline congruence. It would be pretty awesome if they could also make it so you could transfer save data between console and handheld games to unlock special items and characters.

Looks like the next FE game is going to be on a mobile, though.

  5. So... I'm new here and I guess this is where everyone introduces themselves. I'm Sullivan Alexander, username SullyMcGully, and I've been a Fire Emblem fan for about a year now. I enjoy working with plot lines, character development, script writing, and critical analysis, and I'm thinking of seeing if I can cooperate with some of the fan game activity going on around here. As for everything else about me, I live on a dairy farm in rural Virginia, which means I have the opportunity to enjoy a lot of time by myself on our large property. I like to listen to music of all kinds and pet the cows in my spare time. Despite my obsession with Fire Emblem, I've never really clicked with another video game series, so gaming doesn't really take up a lot of my time. That's about it. Oh yeah, I guess I'm also homeschooled, so that should speak for my social life, intelligence, personality, etc. :)
