That's not a problem -- the Engine is just informing you of missing map sprites. For instance, there is no "other" team (green) Myrmidon class map sprite, so it yells at you. You can safely ignore it if you don't care because you don't plan on using an "other" team Myrmidon in your game. However, if you do plan on using an "other" team Myrmidon, then you best pay attention because when you boot up that level in Engine, it'll display the unit as a Citizen.

Ok, I'll pay attention on which units I do need for them no to be shown as Citizens xD

Oh man, How long I've been waiting for the supports!! Now (with your tutoring on private messages) I will be able to realize how to emulate FE4 changes depending on supports between characters... Great job so far, keep it this way and soon you'll be uploading the v1.0.0

By the way, it would be useful for newcomers that you update the main page, it still says v0.8.9 instead of v0.9.0.1 that would be the current version if I'm not wrong.

An update was literally posted 2 weeks ago, the project has not been abandoned. It is still being worked on. I don't think a collaboration is in order either, and SNES sprites would not look right/good in GBA FE games. The next update is set to come in the Summer or in October.

mmm ok what a pitty, surely your version looks good... What I meant with adapting was --> Remaking them, or adapting gba sprites to look like the ones of SNES with a GBA style... but well, no problem with that, I'll have to do it myself, no need to share credits hahahaha.... Just a little doubt concerning your last updates, since I'm not able to apply the patch (don't know why every rom I have is not possible to be overwriten with the patch), how many chapters (From the original FE4) have you already remade??

Yep! You don't have to ask for my permission to use the engine for whatever. The engine is free to use for anyone. You just have to credit me if you use it.

Hey man, I'm getting an error when starting the level editor (I may say that I did the tutorial, everything fine and started my project, deleting classes, items and units, etc) but last thing I did was the Sacred Stones map and now the console says something about an incorrect sRGB and then shows something else but before I can do or see anything it closes and closes all the level editor windows

    The Unified Thracia Project

Around half a year ago, I released a patch translating all the menus in Thracia 776. I said I'd add the script "eventually", and I've been really busy but I'm still determined to finish what I started. So here I present a prototype for a full translation of the game, with the scripts done for Chapters 1, 2, 2x, and 3. Update: and 4, 4x, 5, and 6.

The script is my own translation from the Japanese source. I have a lot of issues with the translation most people are familiar with (especially the early chapters), and I just can't bring myself to use it as is. Creative writing is admittedly not my strongest point, but I think this is definitely a step up, especially with respect to translation accuracy and clarity.

The last patch I released wasn't much of a polished product, since I kind of dumped it on the internet in the last of my free time before starting a new job. It had some extraneous "features" stemming from my excitement at all the things I could do to the game, as well as some bad/incomplete decisions for item and class names. This release is more like what I wish I had done in retrospect; it doesn't have any side effects other than translation, and the naming decisions are more polished and less biased.

    Usage notes:

    • This patch is for the "NP Rev A" version of the FE5 ROM, also know as Rev 1 or version 1.1 (more info). This is not the same as my old patch, which I made to be applied to the ROM version of Thracia 776. The reason for this is that the hack itself is based on the NP Rev A version, which makes this a clean patch of the changes I made, and not an awkward distribution of all the data differing between versions.
    • Not all emulators are compatible, because this is an expanded LoROM. It should work with the newest Snes9x, the ZSNES 8MB custom build, and bsnes provided you follow the instructions in the README. The Project Naga patch doesn't have this problem because FE4 is a HiROM.
    • The download includes two versions of the patch: 0.3.3 and 0.2.3. Version 0.3.3 is the one with the script translated, but beyond Chapter 3 the script becomes garbled symbols. Version 0.2.3 is a pure menu patch which doesn't touch the script, if you want to play past Chapter 3 with the Japanese text intact.
    • If you start playing with a particular patch, you're not stuck with it. As far as I've experienced, the .srm save file can be loaded and played with any patched or clean version of the ROM.

    What is this?

GFE1R, or Generic FE1 Remake, is a remake of the first Fire Emblem, Shadow Dragon and the Blade of light, aiming to give the game more of a gba feeling. it also features a working tactician system(Screenshots coming later), A halfbody system, skills, and in the future a game modifiers screen which will allow you to modify your game experience(example: making the classes randomized.)

If I want to make a halfbody, how do I make it conform to the format, and how do I submit it?

    Hackbox.png.3d82de339d16d3165396fd56ff285a3c.png

First of all, here is the halfbody hackbox. it is very similar to the normal hackbox, except the yellowgreen-ish part of the hackbox is for the second palette. the body part is allowed to have a second 16 colors(15+bg) palette, for convenience.

    Here is an example mug.

as for how to submit a halfbody, either post it here on the thread when completed, or join the discord and post it there. posting on both is reccomended, though.

    Are you Rom-hacking??

    Download v0.1.3 here!

    Dropbox mirror link

If you've patched 0.1.2 and want to apply the patch directly, you can use this.
Note: There is only a patch from 0.1.2 to 0.1.3. You cannot patch earlier versions to 0.1.2.

Fire Emblem IV: Inheritors of the Crusade is a GBA Hack of Fire Emblem 7 (US) remaking the classic game Fire Emblem 4: Genealogy of the Holy War. It aims to be a new take on an old classic, changing features from the original as necessary, yet trying to stay faithful to the source material. Version 0.1 contains 10 chapters of content (of varying quality), with lots of features to help (or challenge???) budding tacticians.

Note that the chapters are sectioned differently from the original game; If you've played Fire Emblem 4 before then the content of this release covers everything up to about two-thirds through Chapter 3. (This is roughly 25% of the game if you haven't played it before.)

The patch can be applied using NUPS or Tsukiyomi. If you use a Mac, you can also try Multipatch. Apply the patch to a clean ROM of Fire Emblem 7 US edition.

    Important note about Emulator choice
Apparently, no$gba has a unique bug with this ROM. (scroll down this page for more details.) If you choose to use no$gba, please be aware of this.

There are a few cosmetic bugs still present in this release. I aim to fix them in a bugfix 0.1.1 release at some point. Feel free to point them out to remind me of them if you wish.

If you find any gamebreaking bugs, do post about it as soon as possible so I can issue a bigfix patch.

    Additional Information

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Arden/Eve/Other unit doesn't have animations for some weapons. What's going on?
A: I haven't made new animations for their new weapons yet, so I've just made it default to the map animation for now. When the animations are made, I'll insert them in a future update patch!

Q: Why are the stats in the r-button menu different colours?
A: The colours give a rough indicator of the unit's growth rates in that stat. There are 4 possible colours: Dark Grey means the growth is between 0-20%, Light Grey means the growth is between 21-35%, White means the growth is between 36-50% and Green means the growth is over 50%.

Note that the HP stat does not have this indicator.

Q: I let a unit die and they came back the next chapter. Does this hack have a Casual Mode?
    Q: Why is Noish/Lex/Azel/Jamka/Holyn a zombie?

A: This hack has a feature that's similar to Casual Mode with minor differences. Although units will come back after dying, they will have generic growths instead of their usual growths (and in future versions they won't be eligible for inheritance.) The zombie portraits are leftovers from the Halloween update video I made, which can be found on the Youtube channel. You can find a link to the channel below.

Note that not all units will return after dying. The units that stay dead are Diadora, Cuan, Ethlin, Fin, Eve, Sylvia and Fury.

Q: How does the Golden Axe work?
A: Its might increases by 1 for every 500 gold you have, capping at 4000 gold (so up to +8 might.) This change is only reflected in the battle previews.

Q: What's the critical bonus from Daredevil?
A: Daredevil will give +1 crit to the user for every 4 hit from the enemy, so for example 56 Hit will give +14 crit. This bonus caps at 100 hit, which is the maximum displayed hit. Enemies that can't attack have 0 hit.

Q: When do you get the extra attacks from Astra?
A: Astra gives an extra attack when you have 6, 8 and 10 more AS than the enemy for a total of 5 attacks when you include the extra attack from doubling at 4 AS.

Still working on this or is already dead?? If you want to complete it I'm working in kinda the same project but using an engine that I found here at Serene Forest, but I'm looking for someone to help me adapting the sprites from gba professions to their variables of snes (knight with swords, axes and lances, for example)

Both the engine and the game (while essentially complete) are still in Alpha, so you may encounter bugs. I am only one man and cannot catch 'em all. Tread carefully! If you do encounter any bugs, please send me a PM or place a comment here describing the events that led up to the bug, so I may squash it as soon as possible. The file Saves/debug.log.1 will have the most recent error in it. Please send that as well if you can. Thank you!

Hey man can I use your engine for a personal project!?
